Natasha Poarch and a wonderful crew from Custom Colors Flooring came to my home and installed a beautiful Shoreline Oak LVT. Natasha was friendly, professional, & talented. Upon first entering the store Natasha was busy; I was greeted by a cheerful painter who asked if he could help, which he did. Then, I was introduced to Natasha who quickly referred me to exactly what I was looking for; she didn’t try to sell me anything different. She even did some rough figures for me and set up an appointment to measure. As I talked her head off, Natasha remained polite and did math in her head while jotting down figures. She clearly knew the tricks of the trade as I saw a few measuring tactics that made things so simple that I would never have thought of. Her estimate was $3000 lower than the other flooring place I visited next, where I wasn’t treated with the warm welcome I had received at Custom Colors. My problem was I needed my floor done within a week’s timeframe. Natasha said she could do it that soon, that what I wanted only took 3 days to get there, and she got me scheduled for the next weekend! Crystal Flooring had said it could not be done within a week. My next treat was meeting the crew. I stayed out of their way comforting my dogs in my bedroom while they cheerfully and diligently worked away. When I emerged, I was astounded at what I saw. They never stopped working! They completed my living room, my kitchen, my hallway, half the bathroom, and half of my daughter’s bedroom all in a matter of hours. They moved my appliances with ease and installed them even nicer than they had been previously installed. They even removed my toilet to ensure the waterproof flooring looked perfect and had a great seal. Blaine was an expert crew leader of Anthony and Darian. I didn’t have to lift a finger! Blaine guided them with a quiet, confident determination. Anthony was very personable and Darian was just a workhorse! It was a two-day job; after the first day, I let my dogs out and looked around. The flooring was breathtaking and I could see that it had been installed with grace and an artistic expertise that required lots of hard work, math, and measuring. Darian, Anthony and Blaine were all very respectful, and very careful with my belongings. They treasured my daughter’s Cello, and I had thought that I would need to help them move things around; Natasha had told me to just let them do everything, that I had already paid to have them move things around. I can’t express how organized, clean, and careful these guys were with my belongings. I was astounded at the professionalism that these gentlemen displayed with each and every interaction I had with them. As a Navy Veteran, I had not only been initially impressed with this crew, but came to respect the guys even more as the job went on. This company also just wouldn’t take too much of my money. My estimate for the exact same thing from Crystal Flooring was $3000 more and I didn’t find a warm friendly atmosphere during my store visit although the manager whom I had spoke with on the phone had been extremely nice. If you are looking for friendly, hassle free flooring installation with a personal touch, this is the company! Custom Colors Flooring and Benjamin Moore Paint is definitely the best flooring business in the Wilmington area based on my personal experience. You just can’t go wrong with them. As for paint, this place is tough to beat. They offer patient and personal service and the products, from brushes to paints and stains are top-notch. What many do not realize is that they also offer flooring products and installation. We have used them for this twice and their lead installer-Gary is just amazing! Each time we had the jobs done while we were away and Gary and his crew did an impeccable job! They are neat, thorough and 110% trustworthy. One of the jobs was to refinish some older oak floors and that, too was a job well done!
