Last Sunday my wife and I entered this store looking for paint. We were drawn in to ACE due to a great sale they was having on paint. We decided to buy Clark Kensington 100% flat enamel . The 2 younger gentlemen working behind the paint counter help us so much trying to match a paint, that we forgot to bring a sample of into the store, My wife knew the name and manufacture of the color. With the help of these 2 employees we got what she was looking for. A tip of my hat to all the employees of this Ace store, The cashier even made us feel welcome and offered us popcorn. Today is Saturday almost a week after we purchased the paint, and it was paint day. Clark Kensington 100% flat enamel is such a great paint to work with. One coat coverage on our house that I would guess had not been painted in 25-30 years. We prepared the surface the best we could and lightly scraped, and sanded.The paint was brushed on and was apply with a wagner airless. It applied better than any other house paint we have ever used. Once again thanks Ace for being a great store with fantastic employees. Im sorry I did not get the employees name that helped us to personal thank them.

Not a good experience yesterday (June 8, 2017). Went to this Ace store to get a propane tank filled. Walked in and was told I would need to go out and walk around the building to the back of the store outside. So I took the tank and walked around the building (a U shaped walk of maybe 100-150 feet by the time you go around the garden center). No one there. Saw a door and went and pushed the door button. Nothing. Finally, walked back to the front of the store and went in and told them no one was there. They said someone was going to the back. There had been plenty of time for someone to get to the back of the store by the time I had walked around the store. In any case, no apology for no one being there; no effort to be sure someone would meet me in the back. But, I went to the back of the store again where the propane tank refill station is. Again, no one there. Again, pushed the door button and knocked on the door. Nothing. So, I left. Went to U-Haul and got the tank filled quickly, efficiently, and cheaper!

Hospitality, respect, positive attitude, excellence in customer service - I brought in a standup outdoor shower that was missing fittings and one of the Ace professionals found all the fittings for me while I shopped. The Ace staff works hard to make sure the customer receives the best service possible. Its not like at Home Depot or Lowes where I find it difficult to find somebody to help me find something . More often at those stores I find talking with other customers in the parts section of my concern helped more than the employees. I didnt have to look for help at Ace. i was greeted promptly upon entry by three people and asked what could be done to help. I will still go to Home Depot or Lowes when convenient for me, but Ace wins when it comes to customer service and hospitality. Ill edit this post accordingly if that ever changes. - update: went back in for help with PVC fittings and the gentleman at the service desk helped me get some cuts done and a new valve installed. Very impressed.

Knowledgeable staff plus the outstanding service you wont find at the big box stores. Lots of American made products. If you need gasoline equipment such as blowers, chainsaw, trimmers, etc. this is the place. An added bonus is the on-site repair service. They service Stihl, Echo, Husqvarna, Toro, and more... Abel is great. Really knows his stuff and can get your equipment back up and running quickly!

Hands down the friendliest and most knowledgeable employees in Houston. I drop off packages regularly, and love to shop in the Ivy gift shop. The store is clean, merchandise is top quality, and I know so many of the smiling employees so well now that they all approach me to say hello. Its what every retail chain should strive to be! Love it at ACE!

For those who arent that handy, this store always has very knowledgeable and extremely helpful people who can not only help you find whatever youre looking for but give you advice on how to complete your DIY project if you need it. Because of their helpfulness, I would patronize this store before any big box home improvement store any day.

Ace Hardware Stores are generally a little more expensive than other hardware stores. But they certainly make up for it with their excellent customer service! Every time I walk in here they treat me like a King. They are more than helpful and if I ever have any questions about a purchase, this is always my first choice.

The customer service team said some unjust things, and I believe that not only since God said to leave me alone and the consequences for not doing so, unless I have to go back for a error they made I would not recommend this store that has some ungodly employees.
