Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The store is very well equipped, great selection, and seems to have just what you need. It is a refreshing change from the big box stores. If you have a list, just walk in the door, and if one of the staff is available, they will walk you around to help you get what you need, and you are done in no time. The store has a wonderful diverse selection, and is a pleasure to just walk around & browse. The service is far superior to Home Depot or Lowes. If you put any value on your time, C & D is a better deal than Home Depot, where you might save a bit on the purchase price, but spend 5 times as long to find what you want, and maybe get the wrong thing.

In a world where the local hardware store is getting drowned out by massive big box retailers I am very appreciative of C&D Hardware. Great place for the little things we needed. Now they have a little bit of a lot of things and when I need a lot of something I need to let them know, which is understandable because its a small local hardware store. They are there to help you and dont make you feel bad about it. I hope it stays around for a long time coming.

This is my hardware store. Here is why: I get help only when I ask for it (which is never because I know how to fix everything), they dont have a huge inventory but always have exactly what I need, the prices are reasonable, it takes me 10min to get what I need instead of 2hrs at home depot. It reminds me of the local hardware store from the town where I grew up. Also, I like to buy BBQ wood there.

I highly recommend C&D hardware. The prices are a little bit higher than Lowes and Home Depot. However, as soon as you walk in, someone always offers to help you find what youre looking for and offers advice. I was driving to the Lowes and Home Depot on 610 and Ella but this store is located in the Heights which makes it very convenient.

You can find everything here from getting a key made (not expensive and always works), to nails, dog food, and lots of University of Houston items (Go Coogs!) I love this place and only go to the big box stores for absolute necessities that I cant find here. Great for Christmas decorations and great customer service.

I dont know who these folks are with the bad reviews below. This a great neighborhood place with people who actually know what they are talking about (vs. home depot or lowe). The prices are a little higher but it is definitely worth it as you dont have to drive all the way to home depot. I highly recommend it.

Great Store!!! The staff is so friendly and they actually know what they are talking. They have helped me with many jobs around the house. I love C&D Hardware and would recommend it to anyone in or around the Heights for any hardware needs!!!

I have been going to C&D for over 10 years. Never have had any issues, and very good service. I have also returned many items over the years - no problem here either. I wish they were open right now instead of at 10. (It is Sunday.)
