Ace is a great place to get many of the household project items we homeowners need. The staff is very helpful and makes me want to come back time and time again. One negative comment though. Ace sent an ad for a Phosphorous-based Winterizer fertilizer. I received a similar ad from Home Depot and Lowes, and noticed these 2 vendors have a Winterizer that is Phosphorous-free. I then did some research on the Internet and see that many fertilizer companies (including Scotts) is eliminating Phosphorous from its fertilizers. Also, many states have already enacted laws preventing the use of Phosphorous due to water contamination. Ace Hardware should follow suit and eliminate Phosphorous from ALL of its fertilizers. Its the least the company can do to help our environment here in Kingwood, TX. Thanks.

After hunting forever, for a certain type of x-mas lights that everyone else was sold out of, I remembered ace. Online showed they had these for 9.99. Knowing they were still 2 dollars more than the big box stores, I figured Id go get them. Upon arrival, I had located them. However, the marked price was 12.99. I figured it was just marked wrong, so I asked to check the price. They rang up 11.99. I then showed my phones browser where it was clearly (same item #) marked as 9.99. I was very rudely told that they do not match their own advertised price, Then abandoned. Dissapointing, considering this store has been a part of the community for so llong. i was shocked at how bluntly rude i was treated. My business will not return.

Superb customer service! I have pretty much switched to going to this place for all of my household project needs. You will get in and out with the exact item you need. The staff is knowledgeable about just about anything you ask them. Every time I go to Lowes thinking Im going to save a couple of bucks I always am sorry I didnt just go to Ace. Truth be told I dont even find their prices to be that much higher. A few extra bucks here and there to support a local business and be treated kindly is well worth it. Dont bother going anywhere else.

I always can get answers to my home needs. The Kingwood store is what ACE was back in the day. Always someone there to help, answer questions and has whatever your home needs may be. Ive seen comments about the selections...they have just as many selections WITH a knowledgeable staff to help you locate it plus installation tips! Plus they are community oriented ALWAYS!

This is the most helpful hardware store Ive ever been to. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and the store is clean. They seem to be community mindful and donate and support local activities and groups. Ever time I leave here Im happy to have visited.

great local place that usually has what I am looking for. there is always plenty of friendly and knowledgeable help. Sterling Events is an added bonus that you wouldnt expect to find in this great little hardware store that manages to carry so much.

Usually have a great staff, but Amee (Amie) treated me with such disrespect I wont be back. She acted like it was a hassle to ring me up and just the poorest customer service with her. Id lose my job if I treated a guest like that.

Ace is the place for me! Always available in a pinch when I need to get a quick DYI project done. Love their grill section, I can get lost in there and spend way too much money on new toys if I am not careful.

they save me a ton of time. they have loose fasteners, lots of cool stuff, and a nice person offers to help. the price may be a tad higher on some items, but it is worth it, by far.
