Edit:Suzannes response is very PC. I very clearly understood the return policy. She told me that she would waive the policy and extend the full return price if I wanted to upgrade....then she went back on her word when we came in to upgrade. It was super embarrassing to have to tell my fiancé that the upgrade wasnt going to happen. I shopped with Suzanne about a year ago and had a wonderful experience. She was extremely helpful and walked me through the entire process with a great deal of patience. I thought I had found a wonderful place to buy jewelry so I ended up purchasing an engagement ring from Suzanne. A couple of months ago I decided that I wanted to upgrade the diamond as a wedding present and Suzanne said that her policy was to give me the full value of the original diamond for trade in as long as I doubled the original price. She then told me that she could waive that policy for me. I told my fiance that this was what I wanted to do for the wedding present and she was so happy. We made an appointment to meet with Suzanne about the new diamond and also were scheduled to purchase the wedding bands that we had previously picked out. When we got to the store Suzanne told me again about the "double the price" policy and acted as if our previous conversation never happened. She told me that she would not honor our agreement anymore since the "price of diamonds has been fluctuating". I was pissed and my fiance disappointed because we had already picked out the new diamond. We left without buying a new diamond and did not end up buying the wedding bands either. I had gone to shaftel during the shopping process and had a good experience but ultimately bought the engagement ring from suzanne due to price. Unfortunately, that was a mistake. I later found out from another diamond dealer that my diamond had previously been graded by GIA as a pretty average stone. It was then given a new certificate by another rating agency that was substantially higher in order to make it look better on paper. This may just be an industry standard but I do feel that it is very misleading. Suzanne: If you read this then you should know that you lost a good customer with good contacts that I had previously referred to you. In addition, we purchased our wedding bands from your competitor downstairs. I am now in the process of buying diamond earrings as a wedding gift that will end up costing a pretty large percentage of what the engagement ring cost. Your bad mood on that day and going back on your word ended up costing you $7-8k in additional revenue just from me. My co-worker just purchased a $40k engagement ring...from your competitor...that I recommended to him. It is obvious that your customer base is large enough that I am just a tiny drop in the bucket...but you should know that I am extremely disappointed with how everything ended up working out.

I cannot say enough good things about working with Suzanne! Her patience and expertise is amazing. My fiancé and I began generally looking for rings. When we decided to get serious I looked up the 10 best jewelers in Houston and InterContinental Jewelers was on the list. After reading all the positive reviews my Lady and I went there. We both had a general idea of the type of rings we wanted. When we saw their selection, we were pleasantly surprised. They have a unique selection which far exceeded anything we had seen. Amy found the wide band vintage setting she had been hoping for. And I found a setting perfect for me. Once that was decided, Suzanne took us into the room to look at the diamond options for the settings. She was professional, very laid back and patient as we asked to see different sizes and quality of diamonds. She explained the differences of the clarity, color, cut, etc. No pressure. She showed us different sizes and options without trying to sell us on the highest priced ones. She actually explained that if I couldnt tell the difference with the naked eye, I should go with the less expensive one if was happy with it, which I did. The diamonds come with a certificate of quality and appraisal. The appraisals were at least 30% more than we paid for them. We also bought our wedding bands, making one for the vintage ring as it was curved. No problem. I picked up my ring a few days later and my ring was a little loose. She had beads put on the ring the same day, taking only a couple hours. Amazing customer service! Services guaranteed. A few days later I went to pick up my Lady’s ring. It was perfect. I decided to buy diamond stud earrings as a surprise to go with her ring. Again, Suzanne took time with me in choosing the right ones for her. Being new to Texas, I chatted with Suzanne for quite a while. She is quite a lovely lady. We will definitely be back for future diamond purchases. Highly, highly recommend InterContinental Jewelers!! I have been looking for that perfect ring @ a perfect price for 2 months. Looked @ a lots of websites, the diamonds are as big as a baseball, but when you look @ the size in person the ego can quickly get deflated. So hearing about the jewelry capitol of Houston on 6222 Richmond , I had to check it out. I didnt know the whole building is dedicated jewelers , Wow Amazing. The first place I went was to The Jewelry Depot . The salesman, Shimon Farkas was very helpful & down to earth he made me feel so relaxed I almost bought but I needed to see if there was something else . The 2nd place was, Sehgal Diamonds . They were helpful & funny the owner makes you feel @ home but the rings are just ok . 3rd and last stop of the day was, Shaftel Diamond Co. This was the coldest place of all. I felt like I was wasting THERE time, come to find out in the end I was talking to Gabriela Shaftel. Good thing I didnt stop there 1st that condescending attitude would have made me leave the whole building. I came back home search again then I ran across the reviews of the 6222 jewelers. I read about a lady by the name of Suzanne Grover @ Inter-Continental Jewelers. I think I will call her Mama Diamonds. I told her my budget. The Color & make of the ring, The Carrots. I knew I could not afford a one carrot, but I wanted a carrot look. To make a very pleasurable experience short. She not only showed me the perfect ring, she also put a (1.04 E Carrot) in it @ the price of everybody ( .70 -.91- I & J ) color . Damn that was beyond Customer Service. She made a friend & a spokes person for life . Good job Mama Diamonds you ROCK .............. INTER-CONTINENTAL JEWELERS is the BEST. ............ Theo Gibbons

What an amazing experience! Suzanne, Sonia, and Intercontinental Jewelers (ICJ) was exactly was I was looking for when designing my girlfriends engagement ring. Like many, I did my research about diamonds and jewelry before starting my search. So it was frustrating, as I made my Houston jewelery store rounds, to note the consistency with which all the major outfits marked up their products, and used inferior diamond grading certificates to over-charge customers on quality. I particularly realized early on that a custom ring would probably fit the bill, but most large jewelers tried to steer me away from that, and into buying one of their off-the-shelf generic designs. My initial encounter with ICJ was especially wonderful. I simply walked in, showed some pictures and stats of my loose diamond and ring design, and Suzanne said, "no problem, wed be happy to do that." Even better, her price quote was absolutely reasonable, and between 30-50% LOWER than any jeweler in Houston. I have rarely experienced such honesty, integrity, and fairness in any commercial enterprise. The vast majority promise much, but deliver little or some. Throughout the custom design process, the whole team was completely professional, on-time, and accommodating to my rushed and unusual schedule. I was able to rely on Suzannes extensive experience in the business, Sonias accommodating and friendly nature, and their jewelers excellent skills throughout each step. The finished product was amazing, and exactly as promised. Fit, finish, polish, all outstanding. Thank you Suzanne, Sonia, ICJ, I will certainly be back with my fiance for our wedding bands!!
