Mr Wilson (Service Manager for Demontrond Houston), thanks for writing back and for your prompt response. I got a call about 25 minutes ago from Mr Paterson, he explain me about the back up orders you have from yesterday appointments. I told him that I understand but I will appreciate if somebody can call me after leaving my car this morning at 8:00am and after 3 different calls I have made to Mr Dewane, the service representative that got my order this morning. I just finish talking with Mr Dewane, he call me and told me about the diagnosis on my engine light that turn on my dash board. He explained the the part needed to be replaced and that the part is in stock as we speak, I ask him If I decided to do it if there was a strong possibility for me to get my car today, as is my only means for transportation, he told me that he will do his best on getting the car ready for me. But after asking him again about the reason of the failure evidently he was not in the mood of explaining it again. I then ask him If I could call him again in about 5 minutes in order to decide what to do and he said that I could call but that he doesnt guarantee talking to me again as he is "busy". I corrected him by saying that I deserve as a customer a little bit of sympathy and flexibility as I been waiting for his call for more than 6 hours and 20 minutes and I truly believe he didnt care. I just asked for 5 minutes to discuss this with my wife but he didnt accepted my request. Because of that I decided not to do proceed with any service to be done to my car. I didnt like his attitude while talking about the results of my car diagnosis. I dont know if you or Mr Patterson talked to him about me, but I dont deserve to be treated like that. I am not an expert in this matter and that is why I bring it to service, for some one with the customer service attitude to serve for something that Im paying for. I understand that you could be packed with back orders and I am ok. with that, but not with the attitude of a service representative, specially when I asked for a day off to take care of this important issue to me. Evidently that is not important for Demontrond. I have been a customer since March 2010 and Im afraid this will be my last visit. I dont feel I have been treated as a valuable customer and most important I believe I wasted my time by visiting Demontrond in North Houston. Sincerely DC

Dont trust these people! I went to this Demontrond on 45 North Feb. 14 of this year and told the manager working that I was a single mom with limited $ but had a little over 3k to spend- cash for a car and was looking for something safe and that would last at least a year. He told me Larry would help me and he did. I bought a 97 Ford Taurus with just 111,000 miles, which I thought was a great deal. I asked Larry if he felt the car would last for at least a year without needing any major repairs, he said with confidence it would and should last 2 years really with regular maintence. Well- Larry is a liar. It has been just barely over 4 months since I bought the car and I keep having slow leaks in the two front tires, every time I turn right theres this loud clicking sound- which has now turned into a squeal from hell and sounds like the tires or bolts are about to pop right off and the brake warning light is on as well. I called Larry tonight and he told me I could bring it in and theyd look at it- but would have to charge me for looking at it and finding out what is wrong since they did not offer a warranty- one I was under the impression I wouldnt need since Larry said everything would be fine for a year- as I took the car for a test drive- knowing I have an infant and a toddler. I will go in there tomorrow and speak with the manager and maybe will write a better review if he can manage to take care of this issue. Either way- be warned.. if youre like me- a single mom of 2 young kids that cant afford much but wants a SAFE car to drive your family around in.. I wouldnt come here- obviously their sales people dont care too much for the well-being of women and children- or babies smh.. Shame on Larry!.

I dont usually take time to write a review but this is so awful I feel a responsibility to other potential buyers. 1. Hard Inquiry on my credit that was not authorized - Wrote a check for the vehicle. This was not being financed. 2. Was promised vehicle on Monday - The forgot their shop was not open (how could they not know.. they work there!) that day to "inspect" car. Why would they sell car that was not "inspected" and tell me it was a "good car". 3. They delivered the car to our residence (least they could do).. FORGOT the temporary license plates so it could not be driven. told us to print out the plates and put them on. (really?) Plates were finally sent overnight but we were without a car now for 3 days 4. After the cash sale - we were asked to wait to talk to Allstate guy..as they withheld our paperwork.. Cheeseball insurance sales pitch... really, is this necessary?? wasted 30 minutes here... waiting and listening to whiny family business BS "we sell insurance" 5. Day 16 Air conditioning is out - Was likely injected with coolant before sale do mask root problem But what stays with me is the sales manager (Kevin) comments when we wanted to cancel the deal since they could not deliver the car when they promised. He said, "well, we kinda have your check". This is what does not leave my mind. Do you want to do business with people like this? Do yourself a favor, there are MANY dealers in Houston.. This is NOT one to be trusted and they demonstrate a huge lack of competence and I question their integrity. Now I have done my part.. Your decision to do business here.. well you have been advised.

I purchased my Volkswagen Jetta from DeMontrond brand new in 2007. I will NEVER purchase from them again or even take my car in for service. It seems that every time I take my car in they want to charge me an arm and a leg. On my latest service request DeMontrond tried to make me spend over $6000 unnecessarily. Luckily for me I took my car to vdub Autohaus and I was informed that the issue I was having was a recall (VW extended warranty). They advised me that the dealership has to do the warranty work; my car needed the transmission valve body replaced. I took my car to DeMontrond and told them what needed to be done and provided evidence of the issue and they STILL they refused to do the warranty work. They instead quoted me almost $6000 for transmission work!! In the end, I had to take my car to VW of the Woodlands to get the warranty work done. VW of the Woodlands immediately recognized and fixed the issue. My car has been perfect since. Thanks to Vdub Authohaus I saved money I didn’t have in the first place. I have had other issues with my VW and DeMontrond has NEVER been helpful. Another example: 3 yrs ago, just months after my warranty expired, my headliner started falling apart DeMontrond offered to charge me for the repair and did not offer any advice on possibly getting VW to cover the repair. I had to figure out how to call VW of America myself and convince them to pay for my falling headliner.
