I purchased an 07 Yamaha Royal Star Venture. After I paid I was told they would have to keep it until Monday (I bought it close to close on Saturday) so they could inspect it to ensure it was safe. I thought it was odd, but they had stated they were planning on fixing a few things as part of the deal anyway so I left the bike with them. Monday evening I called to check in on the bike since I hadnt heard from them, and was told they couldnt get parts because Yamaha was closed on Mondays. Tuesday i call (since I hadnt heard from them) and they hadnt contacted Yamaha yet, but planned to try to fix the component without buying the part. The manager had returned from vacation, and hadnt approved the expense of the repair. The service manager was trying to find other ways to get the bike to me quicker. Wednesday afternoon I called to let them know I would pick the bike up that evening. Repairs done or not. When I arrive and took possession of the bike, the tank was empty, and I barely made it onto the highway before having to switch to the reserve tank. I have never had someone sell me a bike and not put at least a half a tank in it before, but now I know to check... The radio they fixed... broke on the way home. When I got the bike home I checked it over myself and discovered the rear brakes were in severe need of replacement. Also, the seat and a few other components had bolts/screws missing. Minor small stuff, and not worth sending the bike back to them for an extended stay. So I ordered the parts and parked the bike until they came in. Swapped out the brakes, filled in the bolt holes and took the bike out for a ride. The clutch was acting funny, and I discovered the clutch reservoir was completely empty. I had the bike towed back to the house (it was damaged by the truck driver, at which point I couldnt try to return it as it was damaged) so I filled the reservoir and sent it to the shop to have the damages fixed on the bike. When I got the bike back I found out the reservoir was draining quickly, which led to the discovery the slave cylinder was leaking... into the oil. Two weeks later the fuel pump died. Over the two months of owning this bike, I believe it was actually drive able around 10 days. Some of which were inclimate. When I spoke to them about the issues they were willing to refund me what I had paid them (i.e. Not cover the parts I ordered, or the hours spent fixing the bike up). --------------------------------Update----------------------------------- After posting the above review, the store manager contacted me. He was very apologetic, and assured me this was a one off situation, and that the root cause of this issue had been dealt with. We spoke multiple times, and discussed possible ways he could make it right. In the end, he reimbursed me for the parts I purchased/used to repair my new bike with, and paid me the going rate at my mechanics shop for the hours I put in. I appreciate his willingness to try and make it right, and have added two stars to the original review.

I have to admit, that my first visit here, took me by a big surprise. When I first walked in, all I saw, was row after row after row, of gleaming beautiful Harleys. Thinking that they were all New, I asked the Salesperson that promptly greeted me, to please point me to where the Pre Owned Bikes were, as that it what I was looking for? And to my surprise. .he said " they all were"! I havent get out to see all of the Bike stores in Dallas, but the ones I have been to, compared nothing to the huge inventory that they have here! Nearly 400 Hundred Bikes, he told me!! And each one, like I said, could easily be mistaken for brand New. They are all, with the exception of a few very nice Japanese bikes, Harleys and that is exactly what I came to see. And if 400 Bikes is not enough, the Salesperson John Hamilton, said casually "and we have more outback"..good lord..my kind of place! Well if your looking to buy a "Any" pre owned Harley and you enjoy low pressure sales, even in the "dreaded F&I Office" , look no further. If you cant find a bike here, it may not exist, but John also pointed out as well, that they have 2 other, just as loaded Stores, just in case. I ended up purchasing a beautiful, low mileage, 2008 Superglide FXDC and a great price. And also traded in my 1985 Honda Magna VF700C at a decent Trade in value. I recommend any staff member , but I think I had the Best in John Hamilton as my Salesperson. He was very professional, knowledgeable and the fact that he spends Fridays helping Special Need Kids, even showed me his recent "Volunteer of the Year" Award, tells me allot. I have a special needs child of my own and so I very much appreciate his efforts in that regard. And on to Erica, who was my F&I Manager and she made it very easy to Finance my new Harley, even though being Retired, I had a little more steps to do, other than calling an Employer. Also, they both possessed excellent follow skills, only calling or texting, to help move my purchase quickly along. Hats off to the Owners. It "All starts at the Top" and they have made the perfect shopping experience from Inventory, to People to Process. As Marcus Limones would say, in the TV Show "The Profit"..."What do you need me for..it all works fine?". And did I mention, that EVERY BIKE HAS A PRICE TAG ON IT. My only Complaint, is its hard to sit on the bikes, because there are so many, that there pretty packed in. Its a very large store too, but I will take selection and variety, anyday and they are very happy to pull out any bike, to either just sit on or to take a 10 Minute Test Drive. Thank you John, Erica and all the very friendly and polite Staff at Dream Machines of Texas, for assisting in obtaining me, the Harley of my dreams! Happy Trails and safe riding to all!

I decided to write this review because I bought a bike, just didnt buy it at Dream Machines. I live in Wisconsin and I am at this time in DFW area for a job I am working so I decided to visit this dealer. I had been to this place once before and walked through the place, both inside and outside, and I must say they have the largest collection of bikes in one place that I have ever seen with prices that you would expect from a "for sale by owner". Having said that, when I returned with close to $12K in my pocket to buy a 2004 RSD American Ironhorse that they have been advertising for at least 3-4 months, I couldnt get the salesmen off their butts to take care of me. Finally I got one guy to understand that it was imperative for me to see the bike start up and run. This was like a shock to to the two guys that were there and they actually ASKED ME if I really needed to see the bike up and running since they would go over the bike AFTER the sale and assure that the battery was charged, plugs, oil, etc. were changed. I insisted that yes, I needed to see the bike run. They tried to start it and said the battery was not charged enough and that due to the high compression engine on the bike, it wouldnt be able to start up. I told them that I was a former owner of two AIH bikes and was very familiar with them and that what I heard from their attempt to start the bike was either no gas or something else. Well it had gas. After a couple more failed attempts, they stopped trying and said that if I really wanted to hear the bike run that they would have to charge the battery up. Again, they ASKED ME if I wanted to hear the bike run. I waited around for about 10 minutes near the bike and no move was made to do anything so I just left. Well this past weekend I bought a 2007 AIH Bandera for less then I was willing to spend for the AIH Slammer they had at Dream Machines. The owner fired it up from a cold crank (it was 35 degrees outside) and it ran like new. I am a happy biker and glad I didnt spend my $ at Dream Machines.
