I called on week days to have appointment for my 2007 Acura MDX and talk to a service adviser by the name of David, and I told him my check engine light is on and I took it to Auto Zone to have it checked for free and find out its "Error P0420" which is a common issue with 2007-2011 MDX for a bad catalyst converter (you can find more info on Google) that is on a recall up to 120K miles. I explain the situation and told David that I dont want to pay for a diagnose fee, since I already have it diagnose and have the error code. He said that is fine come in on Saturday (Nov16/2013) and we will diagnose it since is a procedure, but we will not change you for it. So I get up 7:00 AM drive 40 min to Goodson Acura in Dallas arrived at 8:10 AM , the facility looks good, as soon as I parked, service guy approach me and ask me how can he help me, I explain the conversation I have with David and ask him, if I can talk to David. I am told David is busy helping other customer and he assist me once he done with his customer, but until then he will take some info of my car. Once he took all the info that he needed from the car, the service adviser walked towards David and have about 3 min conversation, same service adviser come back to me and said "We dont no if the problem will be covered under the recall, We will digonise it, if its not covered with the recall, we will charge you for diagnose fee" , I said to him, that is not what David told and I do have the Error code, you can look at the error code on your computer, tell me if that is covered on recall or not, and he said sorry we can not do that. I ask to talk to David and I am told, he is busy. Then I ask for supervisor, and I am told he will not be in until 9:00 AM. I was so upset with there poor service, I drove direct to Davis McDavid Acura in Plano, I pulled over and I explain my problem and hand the service adviser the Auto Zone diagnose error code. She punched in the error code on her computer, said yes "there is a recall on your 2007 MDX for a faulty catalyst converter, we will do the diagnose but it will be free of charge", and put me a new RDX loner car and send me home. I have seen one poor service and great service in one day from two Acura Dealers. I felt like Goodson Acura service adviser told me that ever I want to hear so he can get me to the dealer ship, and once I get there is was a different story.

LONG MESSAGE BUT THE STORY IS WORTH SHARING! ****************************GOODSON-ACURA*********************************** PROVIDES INCOMPARABLE SALES, SERVICE, & COLLISION REPAIR ID LIKE TO SHARE MY GOODSON-ACURA EXPERIENCES, SPECIFICALLY WITH SERVICE MANAGER - SCOTT G & COLLISION MANAGER - SCOTT AKA THE DYNAMIC DUO. I OWNED AN AUDI A6 AND NOW A JAGUAR SK. IN BOTH INSTANCES MY VEHICLES REQUIRED COLLISION REPAIR. FOR THIS REASON AND OTHER IMPRACTICAL & IRRELEVANT REFERENCES, THE PLANO AUDI & PARK PLACE JAGUAR DENIED TRANSPORTATION SUPPORT WHILE MY VEHICLES WERE BEING REPAIRED. JAGUAR REFERENCED: - THAT I DIDNT PURCHASE MY CAR FROM THEIR DEALERSHIP, - THAT JAGUAR HAS LUXURY THAT ARE RESERVED FOR SERVICE CUSTOMERS ONLY, - JAGUAR HAS CUSTOMERS WHO BUY FROM THEIR DEALERSHIP AND SPEND MORE THAN $100K ON A CAR, ETC. AUDI REFERENCED: - MY CAR WAS OUT OF WARRANTY *WHICH HAD BEEN THE CASE FOR A COUPLE YEARS*, - MY CAR WAS TOO OLD ALTHOUGH HAD SPENT WELL OVER $20K WITH AUDI PLANO DURING CLOSE TO 7 YEARS OWNED IT BOTH DEALERSHIPS WERE AWARE THAT THE INSURANCE COMPANY WOULD NOT ALLOW A RENTAL CAR UNTIL AFTER THE ADJUSTER ASSESSED THE VEHICLES. I WENT SO FAR AS TO SPEAK WITH THE CO-OWNER OF PARK PLACE JAGUAR AND CONVEYED MY DESPERATE NEED FOR TRANSPORTATION WAS BECAUSE ID JUST STARTED A NEW JOB ON THE DAY OF THE CAR ACCIDENT AND BECAUSE THE JOB WAS NEW AND THE SALARY WAS 6-FIGURES, I DIDNT ANTICIPATE COMPASSION FROM MY COMPANY BECAUSE I WAS UNABLE TO GET TO WORK. NOTE: THERE IS NO PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION IN CITY LIVE IN. AFTER REACHING THE MOMENT OF DESPAIR, I ASKED PARK PLACE GENERAL MANAGER & CO-OWNER TO ALLOW ME 5 MINUTES TO SHOW THEM THAT A COMPANY WITH THE SAME RULES THEY HAVE OPTS TO THINK BEYOND BLACK & WHITE RULES AND EXERCISE THEIR EXCEPTIONAL BUSINESS ACUMEN FOR CUSTOMER SATISFACTION & COMPANY GROWTH. I CALLED ON THE GOODSON-ACURAS DYNAMIC-DUO (SCOTT G SERVICE MANAGER & SCOTT COLLISION MANAGER); THEY HAD A LOANER CAR READY FOR ME IN 5 MINUTES. I SHARED THIS EXCITING NEWS WITH PARK PLACE MANAGEMENT/OWNER AND ALSO SHARED THAT THEY (PARK PLACE JAG) WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MY WARRANTY REPAIR BUT MY SERVICE REPAIR BELONGS TO GOODSON-ACURA. THANK YOU DYNAMIC-DUO FOR YOUR NEVER-ENDING SUPPORT, PROFESSIONALISM AND BUSINESS SAVVY. JOB WELL DONE! NOTE: GOODSON-ACURA OWNS AUDI DALLAS; MY AWFUL EXPERIENCES WERE WITH AUDI OF AUTO-NATION IN PLANO.

Fails to disclose body repair done in-house. I purchased a 2016 Certified Pre-Owned MDX with 2,500 miles. I was sold this car as being "better than new" as it came with the extended warranty of CPOs but was for all intensive arguments a new car. I asked numerous times if anything was wrong with the car and was repeatedly told no. I was given "Certified" paperwork showing the car was up to Acura CPO standards and that the only work done by Goodson Acura was an oil change, tire rotation, and detailing. 36 hours after delivery, I had a friend paint meter the paint to discover repair work had been done to the front fender. Initially I was told by Goodson they did not know anything about the repair work. Then I was told they did know about it, they had actually repainted both the fender and bumper in house, but it was "just a scratch" that was repaired. When I pushed back to that explanation and pointed out that the fender and bumper were no longer aligned, I was then told it had been involved in a collision in a parking lot. Not only was I intentionally deceived about what I was purchasing, the repair work that was done was deleted from their invoicing system so it would not detail on the invoice they gave me, although the two codes for the repair work do show up under deleted operations. I was further lied to about this invoice being the "reconditioning repair order" that is supposed to accompany the Acura Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle 182 Point Inspection Checklist and never given the actual required form as it would have detailed the repair work, something that was being hid from me. I was also given a Carfax they knew to be inaccurate as it did not list the repairs they did in-house. To add insult to injury, when confronted with their failure to disclose the damage, I was continually lied to until they were backed in a corner and had to fess up. As a loyal Acura owner for over a decade, I thought I could trust the dealers charged to uphold Acura standards. The Acura Certified Pre-Owned Program is touted as one of the best in the industry but is based on the honor system. Simply put, Goodson Acura does not follow the program rules. This is very disappointing.

I went in to Goodson Acura and spoke to Paul Glicker. I wanted to trade my lease in and was looking at the RDX. As normal we drove the car and of course I liked as I knew that was what I wanted. We began crunching the numbers and trying to make the numbers make sense to both of us. Once we reached a stopping point in regards to the mileage, lease term, down payment, trade in value and monthly payment I decide to leave to discuss with my husband who was out of town on business. I then later called Paul and put my down payment down on the vehicle under the terms at which we agreed upon. My husband came home Christmas Eve and went to the dealership to sign the documents. This is where the scamming began. They handed him paperwork that a mileage term of 3k less a year than we agreed upon. When I called to speak to Paul, he said "Sorry Jenn I couldnt remember what we agreed on". The documents where then changed. (Seriously YOU DONT REMEMBER). The next issue we run into is now the monthly payment increased by $50.00. My husband calls me again and I told him to walk this is a scam and I do not want to do business with them. When my husband began to walk out they said what if we can get the payment down $40.00, making it still a $10.00 increase from what we originally agreed upon. I told my husband to walk as its not about the $10.00 its the fact that they are scam artists and I do not want to do business with him.... My husband signed the papers anyway and brought the car home. Come to find out they gave me $500.00 less on my trade as they agreed upon originally. I spoke to both finance guys, none of which wanted to accept responsibility and when I call Paul he too is speechless. I have yet to hear from anyone there about my experience after voicing my concerns multiple times. These people are scam artists and took advantage of a situation where my husband and I could be there at the same time. The 3 main variables when purchasing a vehicle were altered when my husband came to sign the documents.. the monthly payment, the trade in amount and the mileage. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP MAKE THE DRIVE TO PLANO!!!!
