Chris was very helpful in helping me choose a bike. I havent had one in over a decade. Last one I had was a cheap one from Walmart Id gotten as a gift on my birthday. I was not pressured to buy anything, nor was I lied to about any of the bikes there. Chris explained all questions I had about buying a good steel framed bike. I eventually chose the 2017 "Jamis" Renegade Expat. Great steel bike, and he helped pick the correct size for my height, and made sure nothing was wrong with the bicycle before selling it to me (I was told to test ride it before choosing). Folks, Id recommend buying a bicycle in a store, rather than buying one online. Getting the right sized bike the first time will save you a lot of trouble. The only con I can say about this store is that they dont stock Extra Large Helmets, I have a big head, and none of the helmets in stock would fit comfortably. I had to purchase this from Amazon. Make sure your helmet has MIPS technology, your safety is more important than saving a few dollars.

I went in the shop on Davis, around 1 pm on 4/13/15 I wanted a honest opinion about either having a tune up on my 10 yr old mtn.Bike or buy a new one. I brought it in he looked at it without even giving a thorough look over at the bike. and said it would cost more to give it a Tune up than buy a new bike there. Lowest price on a new Mtn. bike is around 700.00 there. He could knock off 100.00 if I bought a 1200.00 bike then and not tomorrow. I felt like I was at a New car dealership. However to fix my bike or give it a tune up. My bike needed a 59.00 part 1 thumb shifter combo. I realize my bike wasnt the greatest looking bike but the tires were new, the bike was a great bike. I didnt say anything bor argue . I wondered why he was sitting around with no customers, especially this time of year. I got home and felt like all theyre interested in is selling bikes. I wont go there again.

Rude customer service. Walked in to have tires, tube, and chain replaced. Came back at the approximate timeframe Chris provided and only the back tire and chain had been removed. I patiently waited for Chris to finish a new build for another customer and he then proceeded to work on my bike. He then told me that they dont have the tires in stock and they would have to order them for Monday. I initially mentioned that I needed the bike for an event later that afternoon, so time was of the essence. I told him not to worry and that I would have someone over to pick it up on Monday. Chris let me know it was ok and then called me approximately 10 min later to tell me that I would have to pick up today or that he would have to charge me a $35 cleaning fee due to "ants and spiders" that were on the bike. Dont waste your time with these guys.

I own quite a few bicycles, so I have been in my fair share of bike shops! This is the best shop Ive ever frequented. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about bikes. They offer a full range of equipment and bikes at every price point. Most importantly they strive to do bike repairs quickly. Most of my servicing has been while I wait or a day at the most. This matters a ton when you are anxious to get out and ride. Most importantly I think this shop goes out of its way to make you feel welcome. Cycling can be an insular community and a shop that doesnt take itself too seriously goes a long way to getting more folks on bicycles!

Best bike shop in Dallas. And Ive been to them all. If you need a mechanic or expert opinion - come here. Yes, I am on the Dallas Bike Works racing team, so that also means I know what Im looking for and where to find the best mechanics and service in the area. Dallas Bike Works Oak Cliff has the best setup in South Dallas and is prepared to assist anyone moving to the area or if you want to pick cycling back up. Entry level, commuters, classic bikes and racers. Theyve got you covered.

Great shop in a super cool building. The look and feel of something from the 1940s but all the gear you need. Staff couldnt be more helpful and friendly. Didnt try to up-sell me or talk me into anything I didnt need. Knew exactly the vintage bike part I needed and they had it in stock. Sold it to me for a very reasonable price and I am back on the road. Cant say enough about knowledge and customer service.

Stopped by this place to look at their bike selection and i was impressed. They have some really nice bikes and they are very helpful. I talked to Molly and she was very knowledgeable as well as friendly. They also have their bike repair shop right there and they have some reasonable prices.

In my opinion this place is pretty clubby, and 2 of the 3 times Ive been there, the employees have been borderline rude. The store also charged me $4 for a non-working valve adapter that I later saw at a competitor for 99 cents.

Have gone twice to drop my bike off for a tune up at 5:30 pm and both times the shop was already closed despite the posted hours. Wont be trying a 3rd time.

No customer service or follow thru on Davis. Mac the manager does not care. Go to the White Rock Shop they are top notch.

This place will rip you off. Theyve certainly chosen to gauge one-time customers over building repeat business.
