Dont consider coming to this shop to get your bike repaired. I dropped my motobecane 400ht off a week before leaving for college to have a new chain installed along with new disc brake pads and a full tune-up. My derailler needed adjusting and the drive train components needed to be cleaned and lubed. The total came to $160. Since I didnt know any other reputable shops and since I was leaving for college soon I decided to just have them get the work done. They notified me that the bike would be done on the day that I was leaving for college, but they informed me that it would be done at noon that day, hopefully leaving me time to pick the bike up.. A week later, I was surprised when they finished with my bike a day early. I test rode my bike after my parents picked it up and it seemed to work better than before. However, the derailler was still not perfect. I was out of time though and I needed the bike at college so I had to take it even though the derailler was still not dialed in completely. After getting to college, I rode my bike around and discovered that the derailler got significantly worse after 20 miles of riding and would grind continually with the front gear in 3rd. I also noticed that the sprockets in the rear derailler were covered with grime, just like they were before the "full tune-up". The new chain was soon covered with black gunk from the dirty sprockets. Conclusion: I wasted $160. The bike is in worse condition than it was before bringing it to the bike mart, even though I made it a point to baby the bike after getting it back. If you dont want to be ripped off, dont come here for service. These guys might work on Lance Armstrongs bikes but they definitely dont treat average customers the same way.

I was not impressed and Im sure the feeling was probably mutual since I was there for a $79.99 tuneup and not to buy a thousand dollar bike. I typically average about 55-65 miles a week on my mountain bike so, I had told the salesperson/tech about some concerns regarding a noise (derailer?) my bike was making and discussed some generalities about tires, chain, gears, brakes etc. I was assured all would be "gone over". Anyway, I called a few days later to see if my bike was finished (must have missed the courtesy call that it was done) and when I arrived, the saleperson was more interested in getting my money and getting back to socializing with her co-workers because I only got a debit card receipt with no invoice, no work ticket, no explanation of services performed, etc. so I asked the tech, who had no idea what was done, because "I do so many bikes I lose track". Ironically, while talking he noticed he forgot to reinstall a piece on my bike which he then found and proceeded to put back on my bike. Essentially, if you want a $79.99 wipe down -which was marginal at best- and dont mind if your bike still makes the same sound as when you brought it in, then you have found the bike shop of your dreams.

I absolutely love this store ! A few months back I purchased my son a new 24" redline racing bike and he loved the bike but after about 3 months the pedal started to break away from the crank . I took the bike to richardson bike mart and explained what happened and they were awsome ! Long story short , I asked them if I could trade the bike in for another bike he was wanting , I thought it was a long shot even asking but to my surprise they said " no problem of course you can " they gave me what I thought was a fair price for the redline and put it towards the new one ! All I can say is wow ! Thats just awsome service ! Thank you once again Richardson Bike Mart ! I will be doing a lot more business with you guys . Im still just blown away at how awesome you guys are ! Thank you !

I had received a bike tune-up from RBMF as a gift and was initially sceptical. You see, I usually do all of my own maintenance and a lot of bike shops will just give your chain some lube and call it done. However, I was thoroughly impressed after getting my bike back from the tune up. My bike had been rode hard and put up dirty and I was a little embarrassed bringing it in, in that kind of shape. They really went above and beyond; wiping down the entire bike, dialling in the shifting, truing the wheels and cleaning/lubing basically every moving part. They even fixed some nagging issues with the fork that were caused by improper assembly from the bike shop I purchased it from. The bike is over 6 years old and rides like new. The staff is also very experienced and courteous.

I was in the market to purchase a new road bike, preferably either a Specialized or Trek, and when I stopped in the store, I was gravely disappointed by the lack of customer service. Since I live in Frisco, I thought Id give them a shot first... While the number of available cycles is impressive, I was unimpressed by the lack of interest and motivation to sell me a new bike. The guy that I worked with didnt care to know my name, or my cycling needs. When I explained that I would be coming back without my 5 and 6 year old "helpers", he didnt offer a business card, etc. Needless to say, I went to Plano Cycling (LOVED their expertise and attention to detail), and I wont ever step foot in RBM again. I guess they dont care about a 2K + bike sale... their loss.

We had a mis-hap with our two bikes falling off the bike rack on the car. Took the bikes to Richardson Bike Shop in Frisco TX. My wifes bike, they said would take $250+ to repair and recommended us buying a replacement bike at $295. We took the bike (a Schwinn Frontier) to Performance Bicycle in Plano, an authorized Schwinn dealer, and they had the bike working like new for $45. We have ridden it several times since the repairs by Performance Bicycle, and it works great and it is as good as new. Richardson Bike Mart is overpriced, and will sell you more than you really need. I would not trust their repair shop based on my personal experience here. I think it is a dishonest shop.

I have had a great experience with RBM (my LBS of choice in DFW) over the last 3 years. Colton H. has been a huge help in the selection of my road bikes as well as continued knowledge about maintaining my bikes. From sales to service, the guys have always taken care of me and my family even when there have been warranty issues. Hours are competitive and the selection is unmatched. If they do not have it at this store, they most likely have it at another location in town and can get it within 1-2 days. If you have the time, I highly recommend going in whether this is your first bike or last. I am NOT an employee but I am there almost as much as some.

I was treated like an idiot. I was in the market for a bike so I went to RBM and was looking at bikes. The sales person started asking me questions and I told him what I was looking for but that I was new and needed help in understanding all the differences in bikes. I told him that I wanted to spend about $800 since this would be my first road bike, he at that point said I only had one option and when I thanked him and said I would like to visit some other stores and see what the options were he told me that no one could compare to them and that I would be back. I found a bike shop that is amazing and it is not RBM.
