Finally a local shop that understands customer service. I went in to the Tri Shop for the first time last week simply to inquire about a bike tune up. I ended up looking briefly at shoes, and received great service and they even showed me another option online that was interesting. I never felt pressured or rushed. I returned a few days later with my bike for a $79 tune, and some tweaking to my seat height. Travis was very helpful when I dropped my bike off, but even more so when he called that my bike was ready. He told me about a couple small items and then asked about what tire pressure I typically rode my tires. When I told him I typically ran at 130lbs, he explained how there is a misconception that running tires hard will make you faster. He suggested that I try and run at 100lbs to put more tire on the road and for a better ride...man what a difference! Not only was his suggestion spot on, the tune on my bike was the best I have had in town...including the shop I bought the bike from. I could tell that they had taken great care to really tune my bike. It shifted smooth and was meticulously cleaned up. I also got it back the day after I dropped it off for their mid-level tune. I will be back, I will send my friends, and I will tell everyone who asks to visit the Tri Shop. Thank guys!

The shop staff are very knowledgable over the products and services provided at his bike shop. However my review is more concerned over the store owner and my personal experience with him. My girlfriend and I got her bike fitted about 3 months ago and the shoes she bought didnt seem to fit well. We called the store and the owner agreed that he would exchange the shoes. However the day we go to the shop the owner takes a look at the shoes and accuses my girlfriend of bringing used shoes to the shop. They said they couldnt accept the shoes in the condition with a few minor scuffs. Her and I know that she used the shoes once and she felt insulted at how she was treated by the owner. This shop does everything to suck your money, when my girlfriend got fitted on her bike and spent $700 on equipment they wanted to charge my girlfriend to adjust the bike cable! She dropped some big money and they are still trying to suck money out of us. Very unprofessional towards customer. I am unimpressed and I wont be coming back every again. I expected more, however this is like any other places and looks to take my money and not try and build a relationship with the customer. If you value a bike shop that looks out for you and tries and build a relationship, go elsewhere!

Very knowledgeable about all products and great bike fit. However in reference to Brian Goads previous review I did only use the shoes once and realized the toe was hitting. Yes, you did solve the issue with the insoles but the way you accused me of using the shoes more often that I stated was not very professional. We were not able to make it to Dallas as we live in Houston and did specifically choose your store for your reputation with bike fits so that was why we didnt come in until 4 months later. I was disappointed that I felt accused. And your bike mechanics did say they were going to charge me about $30-40 for the brake cable fix which my store in Houston did for free. If youre going charge that after a customer specifically seeks your store from a long distance away and spending a significant amount, youre not valuing your customers.

Trent and the crew at Tri Shop are in a word... incredible. They are open to advise, approachable and most importantly, knowledgable. They will sell you what you need and explain why it is the best option for you. Whether you swim, bike, run or are crazy like me and do all three in one sitting, this is the place for you. Its imperative that we spread the word about them to all of our friends because this is a business that is critically important to the endurance athletics culture in North Texas. I hope to see 4 or 5 of these stores around the metroplex eventually so that people from all over can experience the culture that Trent, Raul and the Tri Shop folks have created.

[Open disclosure: I work with the wife of the owner of the Tri Shop.] That having been said, if you are into serious cycling, running or swimming you should check out their store. They have some items that might be hard to find elsewhere; including a continuous pool an ice bath. The staff can explain the purpose of each. Be sure you talk to some of the more experienced staff if you have more technical questions. Their knowledge of running shoes is very extensive. Although the shop is designed for people that are triathletes or want to do a triathlon, which is not me, it is worth checking out. I picked out some running shoes after trying them out that I really like.

Called to ask about getting a certain brake pads. Was asked what type of wheels I am riding. When I told them, I was then asked why I would "put those wheels on such a nice bike?" They talk like any product they do not carry is junk. This is not the first time I have had this experience. They previously had insulted my bike, which is an S-Works Shiv. I went to CA to buy a Scott Plasma Team Issue just to not have to give them business. Very poor experience! Will not be shopping here again. I will be only visiting Bike Mart or Plano Cycling from now on.

Go. Shop. Buy. I had the Retül bike fit done a couple weeks ago at TriShop and the entire experience was awesome; what a difference it has made for me! The owners and staff are very helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous. I can tell they love to help others because they share the same passions. The store is laid out perfect and well stocked with anything I could ever need. I plan to go back to TriShop for all my cycling and future Tri needs!

Very Professional. High Quality Gear. I have visited Tri-Shop several times, and the staff has expert knowledge of the gear. In particular, Shawn helped me twice to understand the benefits and uses for certain types of shoes, for both trail and road running. I purchased some winter weather running clothes a few months back, and now Im shopping for my next pair of shoes. The staff will not steer you wrong - very Helpful!

Ive had multiple fantastic experiences with TriShop for about 3 years now. Their staff is knowledgeable, and their product line is great. The shop is clean, but the integration of their performance training area with the retail is what really makes them stand apart. Were big fans, and we enjoy their small-shop approach to knowing their customers, and precipitating their needs. Thanks, gang, you never disappoint!

The place to go if youre a triathlete or aspiring one. Great coaching opportunities, group rides, testing, and all the gear you need with professional advice to make sure its best for you. I really enjoyed the process picking out a new pair of running shoes. They analyze the bottom of your feet, watch you run, narrow it down to 3 or 4 shoes and then let you test until youre happy.
