Excellent shop. Great variety of pipes from established companies using traditional designs, to companies whove applied 20th century engineering tweaks to the basic pipe construct. Tobacco variety is satisfactory, with the option to make your own personalized blend. Mr. Jim will customize a blend based on your favorite aromas, or desired occasion. Cigars both cheap and expensive are stored in highly regulated quick-access shelf humidors which guarantee you the best possible cigar out the door. As a customer, and having only been smoking a pipe for a few months, it was a welcoming feeling when Mr. Jim, the owner, gave my friend and I a tour of his inventory and enthusiastically shared his passion and respect for the history of tobacco use. His transition from salesmanship to personalized attention to what you the smoker desires is in my opinion a great indicator of how word-of-mouth enables him to sustain the off the beaten path, obscure little tobacco shop in Cedar Hill, TX, with high emphasis on customers and the enjoyment of smoking, and letting those qualities sell his products. Its the little shop that has endeared itself to concept of community, and a respectable throwback to the mom and pop stores of early American history.

Update: now there is a lounge for members. I recently moved into the are and was delighted to find a cigar shop so close to home. I recall the shopping center from year gone by and really didnt expect much. I was pleasantly surprised to discover a very classy place. The proprietor, Jim, was very pleasant to speak with. The shop dog is a nice touch. I was very pleased with the wide selection of cigars. In addition to the cigars, Jim stocks a large selection of pipes and pipe tobacco. It is the largest I have seen of the tobacco shops I have visited. I find myself visiting on several occasions just to pick up an occasional stick, and the great conversation. The shop has an easily accessible location and parking is not an issue. If you are in the area, it is certainly worth a visit.

This is the place if your totally new or if youve been smoking for years! The owner is retired and runs the shop because he loves it so its not a greed driven operation. I and many others have gone in and asked the most basic questions, which Jim (the owner) gave a half hour lesson in basic cigar / pipe smoking as well as guidelines and warnings on how not to smoke (ie: dont smoke everyday, dont inhale etc...) There is a great selection of pipes and cigars and fresh and well stored tobacco all around. Most of the time I just drop in for a little pipe tobacco and end up talking with Jim. [hes got a story for everything] He keeps two extra chairs in the store just so people can sit and talk. in short: check it out, you wont be sorry.

I cannot say enough good things about Tobacco Cabana. Great selection of fine cigars, that are kept in a non-smoking environment, meaning they dont taste like all the other cigars, they all have there own distinct flavor and its nice to experience that. Awesome selection of pipe tobaccos, not to mention all of the different blends that can be custom made by the owner. The pipes are some of the best I have ever seen. Great selection of accessories and humidors and now with the addition of the smoking lounge, I am not sure I will ever leave, I love it so much. I feel like Im entering my own home every time I walk in. Free Wi-Fi, HDTV, and ice to compliment the BYOB policy.

Good selection and great prices. I just moved to Cedar Hill, so I was glad to find a good cigar shop locally. It seems like most of the tobacco shops around here are basically just head shops that also sell cigars. Not this place. Cigars and pipes only, which is actually nice since youll be talking to people that actually know something about what they sell. Theres a lounge in the back for members which looks pretty nice. Im not sure of the membership details, but its something Ill be looking into.

This is a very upscale tobacco shop with no head-shop pipes or paraphernalia with the best selection of loose pipe tobaccos I have ever found. Their prices are very low and reasonable.They also have one of the best selections of collector tobacco pipes I have found in one place. If you like cigars then you need to check out their humidor one of the best I have ever seen... Its well worth the trip to Cedar Hill...

Jim and David both are incredibly knowledgeable and can help you with any questions or concerns. Also they have the best pipe tobacco selection i have seen. Loved the experience here. The gentleman who runs this shop is very knowledgeable about his products, and friendly. He has a great selection of pipes and pipe tobacco, as well as cigars. Very classy place. Heading back soon to get more tobacco for my pipe.
