Best Buy or Worst Buy? The reviews said it all. MacBook died and was looking for a quick replacement, so called the store to see if theyre able to transfer the data from the dead MacBook to any computer, and Geek Squad answered, they said that it had to be taken to Apple store to do it, or theyll have to break it apart to get the hard drive out because its different than PC laptop. I watched a Youtube video and it took me less than a minute to remove the hard drive. Fine, we went to the store, wasted 10 minutes because the DirectTV guy blocked our path and wouldnt stop talking to us. And then browsed around and found the laptop we were going to get, so were approached by the sales assistant, he was helpful at first until we asked if he could have the files from the old hard disk drive transferred to the new one, and if I could witness when they do it so that my files are safe. He said itll be a $99 charge, and it will take 3-4 days for them to do it. So I asked why so long, he said because there are probably about 50 other hard disk drives are waiting to be worked on right now, which to me it probably means the people working on them are either incompetent or just slow. I told them I dont like leaving my hard disk drive in the store for even a day, and then he told me why do I have to worry about a large retailer like Best Buy, and I said thats probably the reason why I am worried because they could just hire anybody who doesnt know anything about computer to do the job, and if I am paying $99 I want to get it done right, and then he just said "Sorry we cant help you then" I was like sure, I am pretty sure I can get help somewhere. Then another salesperson took over and was trying to help me, she was nice, and found a Geek Squad member to answer my question. And he said that I cant watch them work because it might take the entire night just to do it, and I wouldnt want to stand there 3-4 hours just for that. My conclusion is that, Best Buy salespersons and their Geek Squad are slow, with limited knowledge of their own products, and absolutely incompetent in both handling the technical matters, and their customers.

I took my 2014 Surface Pro to the store and was told I needed to go to Geek service, and let me tell you, Geek squad is a joke, 1st- I had to pay $250.00 to have them fix (joke) my problem! After being told I needed to bring my power adapter back up to them, that was my first sign I should have walked out, being that they are a computer store and I am sure they should have every cord that is available to repair computers. Well after 3 phone calls wanting my password again and again, I decided to go pick up my Surface and get a refund for all of the above. the customer service with the Geeks, was awful they can no more fix a shoe string on my shoe than to repair a computer!!! Well I did not walk out mad, because a young lady at the Best Buy side, helped me with my problem by giving me the number to Microsoft and writing down all information that I would need to contact them, Courtney (Manager) was awesome, she did what the GEEKS should have, instead of getting money out of me! I will never use the GEEKS again and I will tell every one I know that they are not worth the gum on the bottom of my shoe! Do Not Pay them a dime until you get what is needed done! I believe as well as the other people I have spoken to, that they are not trained and have no customer service abilities to help resolve any problems, but get monies for something they have no idea about! Courtney on the other hand was excellent! My Surface Pro that was still under warranty is working great! Imagine that,no money was needed, since I paid $1000.00 in Jan for this tablet! I firmly believe they need to revise there policies and possibly hire people that know what they are doing! And for Courtney she deserves a raise ! She went over and beyond to make sure I was walking out with a smile on my face! Thank you Courtney!! As for the rating I am giving it 1 star and this is only for the Geek Squad! Not Best Buys Employees! They get a 5 star rating! Thanks to Courtney!!

Went in to purchase a new stereo and speakers for our truck. During the purchase experience the sales person was very friendly and helpful and seemed knowledgeable. Spent almost $1,000 on stereo, speakers, installation, and extended warranty. When we picked truck up after installation, the drivers seatbelt, air bags and "chimes" associated with steering column didnt work. Installer said the wires had been cut by someone who previously worked on truck event though no one had worked on those systems before and all those things worked when we dropped the truck off. Spoke to manager who said wed have to take the truck to the dealer and determine if it was installers fault and get an estimate for repair. Best Buy would then submit to their insurance company and decide whether or not to pay for repair. Took four days to get truck in to dealer. When we called Best Buy to let them know it was at dealer and ask if we should go ahead and have repair done, they said no. Now we need TWO estimates for repair and have to wait for Best Buy to decide whether to pay before we can repair it. In the meantime we are driving around with no seatbelt and no air bag, which is not only dangerous but Illegal! To top it all off, the stereo doesnt even work right! Sound cuts out, is static-filled and music skips when on Bluetooth! So now weve paid a bundle of money and have a broken truck and a broken stereo! Will never spend another dime at Best Buy!

I hate this store. Very time I want to get something from Best Buy I go to any other Best Buy store but this one. I spend weeks researching information about a smart watch. I didnt knew which one to get. Finally make my mind and decided I was going to get a Samsung Gear S2 but not any color I wanted sterling face with white wrist band. I knew that this store had it. And they had 3 the night before (11:55pm). Finally went to the store this young women was attending me with some other purchase I was making. I ask her for the watch and she said they didnt have it. She didnt even look on the system. I told her: "It is strange because night before there was 3" I was at the store around 12:00pm. They sold it that quick? )o.0. I paid for the purchase, and on my way out I ask this nice guy that make me felt comfortable speaking with. He works for Samsung in the Best Buy store, I ask if they have any Samsung Gear S2 smart watch. And guess what he said? He had 3 Stearling faces with white wrist band just as I wanted. I got the watch because I didnt want to drive any farther. That was my last time there. And it wasnt just her there specially womens with some attitude working there. I prefer the rest Best Buy store than this one.
