On May 6th, I had a tire start to shred on me right where they are building the new community overpass... not a good place to break down. Made it to the tire center at Walmart in Porter. They had tires to fit my Kia so I had all 4 replaced and when they were putting the first tire on Employee Ronald. broke the TPMS - Tire pressure monitoring system - attaches at valve stem on inside of tire. He was very apologetic and upset that he accidentally broke it, in fact they all were. They (department Manager Rosie and store manager Sabrina) assisted on getting it repaired and back on the car. Meredith was another employee running around and asking if I was ok or needed anything (she makes great small talk when not working with customers). Made it to work and the TPMS light came on and stayed on; so on the 9th went back and Employee James tried to fix it...he tried for nearly 2 hours between helping his staff; their machine (little hand device) showed it working but it was not talking to the cars system. This still did not fix it, so had to make an appointment with Kia in Kingwood for the following Friday the 16th and they got the program working again, the systems just were not talking to each other total cost of 82.50. Unable to make contact with Supervisor Sabrina due to our differing work schedules during the week so went again on Friday 23rd and they took care of the bill from Kia. Everyone of the employees were nice and very helpful, although I must say a few customers were extremely rude while in the same area waiting on oil changes and battery checks. No sure I could work Customer Service face to face with so many rude shoppers…. All in all a positive experience for a mistake that was corrected, even though it took around 10 hours total time, I did get some shopping done.

Needed a quick oil change for my 2016 Impala and I went to the automotive center. Was greeted well the counter person Ricky informed of the special DEXOS oil the car required. Told him I didnt want Castrol I wanted Valvoline. Was told no problem $35.88 I agreed gave my phone # , address and Name. 2hrs later I watch the technician Brian start pouring Castrol into the car. I went to stop him he told me didnt have it in Valvoline. I confront Ricky and ask him why didnt get a call or something. He says let me get Donovan the Manager. Donovan looks at the work order and says he doesnt know why Brian the technician did that and said if I keep the Casrol the oil change is free but if they put the Valvoline in they would need to still charge me the $35.88! l told him I wanted the Valvoline. And I wanted Brian to redo it because apparently he makes the decisions on what you get because he cant ask a question or read a work order. So Wal-Mart this is who you got working for you someone that doesnt care about what the customer wanted! never again Wal-Mart

Horrible time waiting in line! I had 2 ladies behind me and 2 in front of me and the one paying had spent over 15 minutes working her food stamps - before the 2nd lady behind me moved away and the lady directly behind me said this was the 3rd line she was now in and had been trying to check out for over 45 minutes. I finally also moved to another line and waited another 10 minutes and asked the cashier to change out my melting ice cream (which she did) before I would pay her. This is ridiculous to spend almost a half hour trying to check out especially with frozen groceries. HEY WALMART HOW ABOUT HIRING MORE HELP? Or having lines for cash - credit cards - and 1 for coupon users and one especially for FOOD STAMPS so you can keep your customers who just want to pay and go before you loose them all? One man said go to Krogers they dont make you wait like this. Is that why Krogers is placing all their new stores next to the Super Walmarts now? Wake Up Walmart or "Where did all the cash customers only go" ?

The employees are terrible. They will literally cut you off while you walk down an aisle, be rude, or ignore you. I purchased something in the garden center the other day and the check out lady was reading a magazine as I approached her lane. She gave me the look of "OMG is he really checking out here?" Then I proceeded to give her a friendly greeting that was never returned. The gentleman working in the garden center with her was propped up against a rack of things and as I was leaving told him, "have a good afternoon." Once again, no response. This is quite possibly the crappiest Walmart Ive ever encountered. Usually my wife and I will drive 30 minutes in the opposite direction to avoid going to this location. I cant even say the prices are lower here, because theyre not. Other area Walmarts have better prices for the same product. I shouldnt be surprised though, its Porter, Texas.
