The staff here are awesome. I wish pricing was a little better... actually I wish pricing was much better as Im a dealer for AV products and Im used to getting SWEET deals. But I digress because my distributors are always closed on weekends, which gives me a Saturday to get products that I need NOW for an emergency, which I guess Im okay with paying the extra cost. Sammy and Tu are excellent guys. They both know how to treat people. The other guys are just as good, but I cant remember all of their names because theres usually 5 or 6 guys working at the same time. Traffic is (not an insult) nonexistant. I would be lucky to see 2 customers there simultaneously. But that is probably what gives this place such a great customer service rating. Now all I need is for you guys to have a preferred installers list and Ill change this to a 5-star review. ;)

I had an elaborate TEC cooling system w/ xspc liquid blocks on a couple of gtx 580s that I was removing and switching to air cooling. In the process of removing one of the blocks, 1 of the tiny SMC (surface-mount capacitors) popped off!! In desperation, I called around to many computer repair shops, big box stores and electronics repair shops to have this resoldered on (liquid cooling voids any EVGA warranty by-the-way!) Every store was scared away at the precision soldering job that was needed except one...Altex...more specifically, Sean. He attacked the job under the microscope and saved my 500$ GPU. Highly recommend!!!!!

This is my new favorite computer and networking gear store. The staff is always helpful and very knowledgeable. I get a lot of ideas about network ing my house and integrating anything internet enabled. As a DIYer, I appreciate the ideas and suggestions. PLUS- if you value your time- you will appreciate how fast you can get in and out of this place. It is a store that supports commercial customers, Pro installers, and is very friendly to network amateurs like me. I wish I had found this place years ago.

After going to several places, I decided to give Altex a try due to being located close to where I was. When I walked in, I was greeted by Justin Sheppard whom assisted me in figuring out if my hard drive was broken, or my computer. He was extremely friendly and he had my best interest in mind in regards to saving money, being patient and knowledgeable with all questions I had, and giving me the best option rather than making money off of me. Thank you Justin!

Their staff seems more like tech people than sales people. All techies need to know about this place. I used to always go to another store in south arlington- but after having helped more fellow shoppers than being helped by actual employees/sales staff- Altex really opened my eyes to how a technology store should run. I highly encourage everyone I know to go their first if they have any needs- theyve taken such great care of everyone ive referred there.

Extremely helpful staff every time I visit. I needed a very specific part (SATA cable with a backwards 90 degree bend). The store didnt have it, but the manager searched a few manufacturers online, found the part, searched for other competing stores in the area, and printed out a list of matches for me. I never expected that much help from them, especially for just one measly part that costs less than $10. The staff in this store are simply amazing.

Their pre-sales support is great, and I can always get in and out of their store w/ what I need very quickly. Special shout out and thank you to Chandler, who was very helpful and even got the product ready for me to pick up so I could get where I needed to go on time.

My security contractor told me about this place. It was great. I just went by to browse for a power adapter. They have everything from cable management to conduit to power supplies to cameras and DVRs. One of the employees approached me and was able to answer all of my questions. He seemed very knowledgeable in surveillance.

Needed some network supplies while in town on business, and this was a 1 stop shop. They had everything I needed and some stuff I didnt even know I needed. I paid 1/3 the price for a network cable than what another electronics store was charging. Staff was super helpful and friendly.

Called around local stores for an AM4 cooler master heat-sink bracket, got one through Altex (AM4 is a different size from AM2/AM3(+)) , they were professional and friendly, overlooked this store in the past but will definitely keep them in mind in the future.

Very few items to choose from. Staff was kinda friendly, but they were not eager to help. Also, an employee was playing on one of the gaming computers, and was oblivious to the customers walking around. I do not ever plan on going there again.
