The Mask of Nobody

Went here to find specific computer cable, since they supposedly have all the pc/computer stuff you need (which they dont). Walked up and down the isles looking for this specific cable and couldnt find it, or anything like it. Looked around for some help, didnt see any. Went up to the front counter for some help and was completely ignored. I stood there for about 10 minutes and not one goddamned employee acknowledged me or even looked at me when I tried to get their attention!! They just walked passed me like I was not even there!!!! Horrible, contemptible, and BEYOND UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! I guess I will be ordering my part off of ebay.

I was looking for a 25 ft ethernet cord. I called many places around the area for price checks like walmart and target. Walmart was selling them for $20 and target didnt have anything longer than 8 foot. I called Altex and they were very friendly on the phone and instructed me they had 25ft cord (in a variety of colors) for $5. I went to the store and they were very helpful. I highly recommend this place!

Two of my non-techy friends in their 60s recommended this place to me. I needed some odd parts no-one else had and tried Altex in desperation. I was astonished at their selection and reasonable prices. Their staff is knowledgeable and pleasant and they know how to help with even obscure problems without making people feel intimidated. Even my parents, who are in their 80s, will shop here on their own.

They have a lot of hard to find equipment & supplies. The staff is usually very helpful too. Pricing varies from very low to somewhat high, but its a great option when you definitely need something today. Much easier to deal with than Frys electronics, theyre oriented more toward small business customers than Frys is - but its still retail and anyone can shop here.

If you would have told me that Texas has an electronics store where you can pick up a 42U rack fitted with A/C units, PDUs, etc, I would have thought you were crazy. Not only does it have everything you would need to build your own computers, it satisfies the needs of any datacenter nerd as well.

Carry all kinds of parts, components, tools, etc. for DIY and pro application, and they have excellent customer service. Some stuff is a little pricy, but theyre near by, and they have it in stock on the shelf. When I need it now, not in a day, not in a week, but *right now,* I go to Altex.

Thanks for the nice people in Altex. My laptop got some problems and cant be opened. Due to the weird model, it took a long while to figure out what happened and fix. They are so patient and kind. Appreciate so much. Highly recommended to someone who needs help about their laptops.

Ive had expensive computer speakers for years that I couldnt get to work with my smart TV. An Altex employee just helped me fix the problem getting them to work in two minutes... w/no product sold. This was over the phone.Thank you Altex! Great knowledgable staff.

They have the stuff you can not find, also only place I coul dfind a Cisco 8 Port 10/100/1000 base T switch, and its not the Linksys Cisco Cisco brand but an actual Cisco gigabit switch for $80.00 and there were plenty on the shelf when I picked it up.

Largest selection of electronics and specialty items in the area. Prices on items very from excellent to over-priced. If you need one stop, youll probably find all that you need. Staff are exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful.

A good place for batteries. And cables. And tools. But a lot of things can be had elsewhere for less. Sometimes necessary because its close and buying online is not an option for immediately needful things.
