No Inventory on basic building supplies, ie. brass tubing. I was told they have problems getting orders from K&S Brass. I find it hard to believe since I ordered a large quantity $178.00 worth of tubing last week from K&S. I was told by the K&S rep that K&S has a minimum $100 order. So the problem isnt K&S, the problem is Hobby Town chooses not to reorder the minimum dollar amount until its all depleted. So the employee at Hobby Town either lied to me or is unaware of how the ordering system works. I assume they use an auto-reorder system. Buy one item, system automatically re-orders item sold. Since they havent sold all of their previous $100 worth of brass, they will not reorder. Simply just a "Walmart" hobby store. They only carry inventory for Traxxas brand kits or model trains. They should rename the store to Traxxas Town or Train Town. Just order from their suppliers Horizon Hobby or Tower Hobbies and save yourself time and money. Until Knoxville gets a real hobby shop I will have to order anything that i need from Gizmo Motors, CC Racing Engines, BH Hanson or ZippKits.

This place was excellent when I first discovered over a decade ago, but as the years passed, that faded. They have moved to new locations three times since Ive been a customer, and with each move, not only does the space get smaller, so does the inventory - back in the day, I could find a variety of different items that were of use for the miniatures Ive built (most notable my scale model of Sesame Street, which Ive maintained for over fifteen years), now I can hardly find anything I can use (let alone anything in scale). Another downside is each move is farther and farther out of town; I thought their old Peters Rd. location was long drive, Turkey Creek is like a road trip - and hardly worth the time and gas. Ive become disappointed and disheartened with HobbyTown.

I went into the back RC car section around Thanksgiving to buy a few parts after waiting a few minutes. Asked one of the guys if they could help me put in a bearing in the steering bell-crank of a Slash 4x4. He took the truck apart and used his tools to show me how to do it, and we got the bearing in. I was thrilled he could do it after me googling and spending weeks doing so. Around Christmas time, I went in to purchase some RC equipment for a sibling. They helped me with the more technical aspects of things I wouldnt notice, like ball bearings vs bushings. They were quick to help and I got in and out quickly. I drive from different parts of town just to go out there, as they have great customer support. I will be going back this week as well.

I came in looking for fidget spinners and pick up a fidget cube played with it for about 30 seconds and put in its stand lightly because I didnt want to break it so I put it in and it fell out and broke the little joy stick and the guy with a irritable attitide was very angry and he didnt even just say well Im sorry you but you have to pay for that all he did was frown and stare at me and Im only a kid. Very unhappy with prices and customer service. For a cheap plastic spinner (which is 20$) you can get a metal one that is way better. Im not trying to hate on this its just attitudes I feel need to be better.

I have always been greeted by the employees up front and told to have a good day when leaving the store. The radio controlled department is worthless. the last two times I have gone here I was ignored by the r/c department employee on 2/20/14&4/2/14. the parts are not stocked very well I have called about parts before and have been told that they were in stock and after the 50 mile drive come to find out the employee was too lazy to look for the physical part and just looked at the computer instead of turning around and moving the sliding wall to look

Nice store.. Been in the store twice. Never can get waited on. Last visit I called the store manager after I left the store. (30 minutes of waiting to get help was long enough). She indicated she was dong the best she could and I would just have to live with it. Bottom-line: Love supporting local businesses, but its difficult when managment or employees have no intrest in helping you! BTW - Brought a DXI 8 plus a Blade 550 plus parts on line. Sorry Hobby Town get some employees who want to sell merchandise!

Well the place. Seemed to have everything but nice people I came in to the store Sept.6 and had a few questions about the nitro fuel and a couple model kits and the older man in the RC department was very short with me and just not very nice you really need to check out how your help is treating your customers I was going to spend 600.00 on a new nitro kit but Ill go to Tower Hobbys on line people like that is why most shop on line

I purchased a Real Flight (RF75) simulator and discovered an aircraft was not designed properly. I tried to return the sim and they told me no returns once the box is open. One of the sales personnel told me that this simulator included all aircraft options included in the Basic sim. This was not true. How can a customer determine if the product is functional unless he opens the box???

I was very pleased with my first visit last Friday. They stopped what ever they where doing and did with professionalism and a passion for RC..... If you need a rock-crawler they are the place to get one and MAN what a awesome collection of Traxxas cars ever seen in one place. So if you need a part for one go take a look at there back wall, parts for days!!! Thanks Kevin.

I recently went to the store to purchase a puzzle as a gift, I ended up purchasing (3). The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and quick to help with any questions that I needed answered. Love their layout and different sections throughout the store. Very easy to find items in the store. I plan on making a return trip in the very near future!

nice little hobby store, friendly people, but prices are a bit high I thought. although they do carry premium stuff so some times you get what you pay for. as always, just do your research on the items & make sure the product is premium like the price. over all seemed like a nice little shop with about anything youd need hobby wise.

My favorite local hobby store - they have something for just about any hobbyist and collector: model kits, board and tabletop games, miniatures, model trains, R/C vehicles, scale scenery, model building supplies, arts and crafts supplies, collectibles and toys of many kinds including Hot Wheels and Lego kits.... you get the picture! ;-)

I give HobbyTown of Knoxville a 5 star rating because of the individuals that work there. They are knowledgeable, supportive, helpful, and engaging. The customer service is excellent! I recommend that you stop buy, meet the employees and purchase something for a yourself, a friend, or a loved one. Youll become a loyal customer!
