Despite the previous negative reviews, my husband and I had a great experience at this Babies R Us. I dont know if one side is better than the other or if it doesnt matter because it IS the same store but our experience was really helpful and pleasant. I had started out baby registry online but didnt want to pick anything out without seeing it first so I waited to add items. [We live about 45 minutes away so we went to the one we thought was in Athens and added a few items there from their baby section, but its not anything like the one in Buford. We decided to finish up at the one in Buford later in the week] Anyway. On a Thursday, an employee called me to ask if I had any questions about my registry and I said that I did and that we were planning on going there the next day to finish our registry. She then informed us that the store has 4 different classes they offer for free to registry members and asked is I wanted to be sign up for them. [Classes like: car seat safety, infant CPR, brief parenting class where a pediatrician come from NE GA Med to talk to parents, and I cant remember the fourth.] She was Very polite and helpful. We went the next day and went to the desk and they two ladies there greeted up and one helped us set up our registry gun and we were to pick things out on our own. I felt a little over-whelmed by the bottle choices and went to ask one of the registry ladies for help. She asked if we had been given the "low-down" and explained everything and we said no, that we had just started ours at the Athens store but that since it wasnt really the main part they didnt explain much. She walked us through a pamphlet they had and explained how to pick out bottles in case one didnt work or if we needed to return them. She also gave us advice on breast pumps. She was VERY polite and helpful. We finished up our registry and went on our way. We had a great experience and were very pleased by that staff. There were even more instances in this visit of employees going what I thought to be above and beyond. The employees we worked with were courteous and very helpful and didnt try to avoid us. Im sad to hear that others didnt have the same outcome as we did.

Ordered a crib and dresser on Nov 13. Was told both were in stock and would be arriving at the store in 7-10 business days and that we would get a call or email when they came in. After 15 business days and no contact, we called to check and were told that it was now going to be 6 weeks from ordering before it arrived. Waited the 6 weeks, called back, was told 2 more weeks. The crib finally came in after 7 weeks but the dresser did not. They said another week on the dresser so we waited a week and checked, and now its showing our order has been picked up and is complete so they didnt ship the dresser. Now we are being told they dont know when it will be here but they will call when it arrives. We have been given no updates on the order throughout the process, the employees have been rude (apparently checking on an order is a major inconvenience), and their ability to track an order or even check inventory in the store to see if it has arrived has been abysmal. I would never recommend ordering furniture from here.

Walking into your store with my son on Memorial Day 5 minutes before 8 pm I checked the door to make sure It wasnt closing time. The door said 9:30 so it looked like we were good. We proceeded by an employee who said hello and that was it. My son and I picked up some items and were carrying them around wanting to purchase them. As we were walking around we heard a muffled announcement. I couldnt understand it but I thought I heard they were closing. I found the nearest associate to clarify if indeed that was the announcement and he said to me they were closing and if I wasnt going to check out now I would need to leave.to be honest the manner in which he said it was rude. I found the nearest shelf and set all of what I was going to buy down. As I walked out of the store I heard someone laughingly say now that we have everyone out.... Is this how you do business? I wanted to spend money there but i honestly cant find a reason to do so now

After reading the horrible reviews, I was actually very surprised. I have been shopping at this Toys R Us for over 3 years now, and have never left this store so upset that I wouldnt return. I have had employees go out of their way to explain to me when shipments come in, how things work, when people show up to get in line for specialty (high demand) items-even during the holidays. The things to look for on coupons (such as exclusions) so there wont be as much frustration when I think I will be able to use one and cant. When I have had a return issue, it has always been resolved without attitude or rudeness. I am grateful for this, because they get the majority of my gift shopping, whether it is for holidays or birthdays. Makes my shopping experience a lot easier. I love this store.

So I ordered my toy online and received an email that it was ready for pickup. I went to the store. Once in the store it says follow the map to the back of the store to the pickup station. Once at the station you can either scan a printed out confirmation (which I didnt have) or you could click a link in the confirmation email. I clicked the link and waited. After 5 minutes I clicked the link again and waited 5 more minutes. No one came. I flagged down a worker who went and found someone else. The other staff person radioed someone who told her that the toy was at the customer service desk up front. I went back up to the front and picked up the toy. I was very happy with the toy that I received. I was very unhappy with the pickup process and lack of regard by staff.

My son is now 20 months old. I signed up for the baby registry and credit card during my pregnancy. I had a wonderful time scanning all the baby items and I have a horrible spending problem every time I go. I get coupons every month and I have never had an issue. There were times when they did not have an item or I had questions and the employees would check for the item in the back or help me order it online if need be. Even though their prices tend to be a little higher I much prefer to go here. I have returned many items that did not work for me and never received any rude behavior, even if the item was slightly used or an open box. I have also never had any trouble getting a hold of an associate when I call. Very friendly, helpful, and well stocked.

Be very cautious when purchasing items off your registry! I purchased an item off of my registry and the cashier scanned my registry information. However, she also asked for my phone number for rewards. I didnt think twice about it but I noticed a few days later that the item I purchased was still on my registry. I inquired with the online customer service support department and after many emails, it turns out that the cashier credited my "rewards" and NOT my registry, therefore I did not get credit towards my registry and the item was left on there. I now know to not give my phone number and ONLY give my registry information to ensure the item comes off the registry and I receive proper credit. The staff needs better training on registry purchases!
