My story started when my home key on my iPod Touch 2nd Generation got gummed up with something. It acted like I was pressing it all the time, and would back me out of apps on its own. My iPod was unusable. Living in Columbia, I made an appointment and the subsequent trek to Charlotte to visit the "Geniuses" in the Apple Store up there. When I got there, I was given the following options: trade it in to get the same model for $150, or talk to a sales associate and submit it for recycling and get 10% off of a new model in return...both options not something I was interested in with my fixed budget. Infuriated, I brought my iPod back to Columbia and attempted surgery myself. I got it open, diagnosed the problem, and in attempting the repair lost an important part of the main board, and later cracked the LCD. I went to Craigslist to find a suitably cheap replacement, heartbroken that my favorite toy was broken now, and came across the ad for SmartPhone Medic. I gave them a call, and they told me to bring it on in. The problems were further diagnosed, and for the repair to the mainboard and to replace the LCD, I was quoted $84. I picked it up the next day and to my surprise I was only being charged $74! The people are personable and superbly knowledgeable about the things they work on, and are willing to work on other things theyre not as familiar with just for the cost of repair parts (a friends PSP broke). The service is extremely professional and reasonably priced, and I was (and still am) extremely satisfied with SmartPhone Medic. I certainly hope my iPod or my wifes Blackberry ever break again, but if they do my FIRST call will be to SmartPhone Medic, and not the distributor or manufacturer. Thanks, SmartPhone Medic. TL;DR version: Use these guys, and you wont regret it.

The only smart phones Ive ever owned have been iphones. I recently needed a new phone and was contemplating getting a Samsung Galaxy instead. I went to SmartPhone Medic to purchase one of their used phones in order to not get robbed by my carrier LOL! I was choosing between a Galaxy S6 Edge and an iphone 6. I was swayed towards the Galaxy because it had more memory that the iphone 6 they had in stock and that seemed to be a problem with my current iphone (15GB). Anyways, I went with the Galaxy and was a little nervous to learn an android. Jordan R. helped me every step of the way. She completely set up the new phone, transferred my contacts, texts, photos, etc. from my old iphone. She made suggestions for fun apps for the Galaxy, downloaded some we agreed I would enjoy and even emailed me links to a case and screen protector I could order as they didnt have one in stock I wanted to fit this phone. She set up preferences on the phone to make them the way I would want. She has been available for me via text and email with questions and never seems bothered by it. With all of the money Ive spent with my carrier all of these years, Ive never gotten that kind of service when purchasing a phone, even when I got my very first smart phone. They just kinda say here ya go, youll figure it out. While that may be true, I was leaving the next morning after getting this phone for an out of town weekend and I needed to know how to use it!! SmartPhone Medic has done repairs for both me and my son previously on other phones from water damage to cracked screens and have done an excellent job. Thats why I went there for this purchase and Im so glad I did. Ive grown to LOVE the new Galaxy I got and Jordan R. was a HUGE help to me. Thank you JORDAN R. and thank you SmartPhone Medic!

Best customer service experience from any industry I have ever experienced by far! I have a Samsung S7 that just went out of warranty a month ago. I had a few issues with the phone saying it detected moisture when attempting to charge, but I was able to get that resolved. Then, when using my phone normally, I could not hear anyone nor could they hear me, but it worked perfectly on speaker on connected to Bluetooth. I called another local cellphone repair shop and they basically told me that my internal microphone/speaker would need to be replaced and to do that would mean removing the back cover which would most certainly crack the front glass, so I might as well buy a new phone because of how expensive the repairs and parts would be. They told me I could get a refurbished one for about $350. I dropped into SmartPhone Medic in Lexington, SC at 5:10pm and was almost immediately waited on. The gentleman gave my phone to Andrea in the back. I explained to her what had happened and she went back and came back a few minutes later stating she had it working, but then when she tested it, it didnt work. She said she didnt think it was my internal microphone/speaker, but that my phone was stuck on thinking it was on external. She took it back again and moments later had it working. Now, for the clincher...I had my credit card out and would have gladly paid a nice price for the 10 minutes that she took to fix my phone, but she wouldnt accept any money since she didnt replace any parts or take my phone apart. I will be letting Verizon know to always recommend SmartPhone Medic and Andrea in particular because Verizon was the one that told me about the two cellphone repair shops in the area. Andrea and the SmartPhone Medic team, you rock!!!

I brought my galaxy tab 4 here about 3 weeks ago, my tablet wasnt charging up and had died. I had bought a battery for it and installed it, but still couldnt get it to come on so I brought it in and they looked at it well I hadnt pushed a clip back on and so they did that and bam it came on it asked how much for the repair and the guy said 5 bucks so I gave him 10 my original praises were high, but I got in the parking lot and it wouldnt charge with my car charger so I brought it back in and they said the charging port was bad and told me itd be 69.99 to replace and they would take the 10 and apply that twords the bill and that it should take 3-5 days to fix it, great I was happy well a week had gone by and no call from them so I called and was told that the part had not come in yet OK so another week went by I called they said there was a mix up with fed ex OK so Friday of the third week goes by and other year weve got the part here OK so when can I pick up my tablet o well tomorrow so I come by and ask for a discount and he says no, well Im sales and Im here to tell you all you have over your competition is service well their service sucks here so if you want to have to dog someone about your stuff these guys are the one to go to terrible customer service Ill never bring anything to them and Im going to tell everyone about how chappy they are here
