I rarely review retail stores but I had the opportunity to be taken care of by Tameka today in the West Ashley Michaels. I called the store ahead of time to confirm inventory of an item as I would have to drive a bit longer than desired and was told there were 2 in stock. Not sure who I spoke to but they were pleasant enough. When I arrived, I headed to the canvas aisle. The size I needed wasnt there so I figured they may have brought them to the front. I encountered a staff member who had actually just ended her shift (she didnt tell me that but I assumed because she had a basket of stuff that I thought she was buying) so I apologized for requesting assistance after her shift. She was so genuinely kind and gracious, turns out she was just finishing a display with the items in the basket and wondered how I knew her shift had ended. She called on her earpiece to ask who had spoken to me on the phone and I guess whoever I spoke to told her that I was told there werent any of that size left. I was heartbroken and a bit upset, but after 15 years in customer service, I understand communication breakdowns so I told Tameka not to worry about it. She saw my disappointment and immediately asked if I could hold on for a moment while she did a little investigation. She headed to the back while I waited and returned after a bit with the canvases and a huge smile. I understand how long this review is, but like I said...15 years in customer service makes you highly aware when a business has someone special and worth every penny of their salary. My degree is in human resources with a certification in leadership development. Tamekas personality was unique, genuine and truly kind. She made my day and I hope she knows her worth there. Thank you Michaels, for hiring great staff.

They have a great selection of art supplies, candles, floral supplies, and of course craft supplies. What impresses me most though its their framing department. Everyone who works there gives great advice. They recommend things I would not have thought of, but its always on point and in great taste. I highly recommend them, reissuance for framing.

Best craft store in this area. Easy to find items and always well stocked. Staff is knowledgeable, super efficient and reliable. Excellent customer service. Love the new rewards program and the fact that I can always find great coupons on my smartphone. Love this store!

Kathy was amazingly helpful with custom framing and matting four pictures. Wonderful patience and wise recommendations. I will definitely come back to see her specifically if I need more pictures framed. Satisfied customer :)
