My mom and I have been taking our pets to petsmart ever since theyve been young. I have a yellow lab who is 9 years old, and a chihuahua/Pomeranian mix who is 11 months old. I have been taking my lab here since she was a puppy. Whenever we go away, we board our dogs here. They were here for a week in April, and they were here for a few days in June. We always get their nails cut here as well. Yesterday, 8/4/17, I came home from my summer session at college and I wanted to take my dogs out. I took them to petsmart to get their nails trimmed around 6:30-7pm. I didnt get the names of the girls, but the one girl tried to tell me I couldnt get their nails cut because their rabies shot expired back in February. I said thats not right because they went to the vet in April before we boarded them here. Then the other girl looked them up and said that the rabies vac doesnt expire until 2019. I said thats right. Now usually, they take both dogs at the same time, I go and shop for the dogs and pay for everything then I go back and get them. They only took one dog at a time, and Im glad I stayed- heres why. My lab is getting old, shes not able to jump up and her legs are becoming weak. The table was slippery, and it was hard for her to balance on the table while her leg was being pulled out from under her. They shouldve had her sit, and ask her for her paw, they have done that before. My lab slipped and fell off the table! She was hanging by her neck because of the leash they use to keep them on the table. My lab is 100lbs, and she was hanging with her feet barely touching the floor which wasnt enough support for her. The girl who cut the nails was standing there not knowing what to do. I yelled at her to pick my dog up, and I was so stunned I didnt even think to go back there and get my dog myself. The other girl who was standing there just said "pick her up its ok". NO, ITS NOT OKAY. My dog was hanging there, and they never apologized or anything. The girl who just stood there was like "good thing her feet could touch the ground or that wouldnt have been good" IT WASNT GOOD EITHER WAY! No dog should feel that uncomfortable that they end up falling off of the table!! The girls were very unprofessional, and when it was time for my Pom-Chi, she didnt know how to cut her nails either and my dog was very uncomfortable. My brother was with me and he took a video of the girl cutting her nails and its unprofessional. I have been taking my lab here for 9 years, and Ive never had an experience like this. These girls should NOT be in this important position with an animal if they cant do their job properly. I wish I would have asked to speak to the manager or something, but I was too stunned to believe that actually happened. When I came home and told my mom, she was livid. I will never take my dogs here again, and I hope the manager sees the security camera, if there was one in there, I didnt see. That should not be and Im very disappointed. I would leave zero stars, but thats not an option.

I agree with Jessica but for different reasons. Generally speaking I like Petsmart, Especially the store and Fairless Hills across from Oxford Valley Mall. The people there are wonderful. Purina has been very kind and sending me coupons Vouchers further products. They used to send me ones that were good for up to $50 for their dog food. But even though they havent sent me those they sent me A coupon for a 6 pound bag of dry food the manager at the Willow Grove store refuse to let me use that coupon towards buying a 33 pound bag, Even though I specifically asked him if I can use the coupon towards a larger bag and pay the difference. Might beagle, Lenny has thrived on The pro plan naturals chicken and brown rice. I went even deeper into debt over five years ago to save his life after he had a ruptured disc, and its 3 1/2 years old there was no way I was going to put him downThe prognosis was 50-50 and I thought he would have to get around want to pet chariot. But thanks to the miraculous surgeons and staff at Langhorne s VSEC hospital, he is doing so well that the only thing I need is to keep a dog wrapped around him because he doesnt always have control of his urinating, due to the fusion of the healthy disks to save his life. So I am indebted to them and especially Purina for not only helping me save money to get their top variety of food, but Lenny has done so well with it. So last month, when I went to this particular Petsmart, I just gave in and bought the 6 pound bag of food. I save the coupon and just put the full price on my credit card. Feeling confident that the Fairless Hills store would except the coupon, I just paid the difference, The manager was so great, she just said its just the coupon. So I went back to Willow Grove store to return the 6 pound bag assholes they just asked me why. And I explained The less than satisfactory experience Ive had with asking the manager to apply the coupon. I know I used time and gas to do this, but that coupon save me much more and I didnt have to downgrade his food. I only went to that store because this near my girlfriends and she was taking care of Lenny, while I was recovering after surgery. So I continue doing business at Petsmart But at the Fairless Hills store. They are professional, helpful, and Lenny and Joyce tension he gets every time I bring him to shop!

We boarded all three of our dogs in the pet hotel for a single overnight stay last weekend, and we now have two dogs sick with kennel cough. Their stay cost nearly as much as our hotel did for the evening, but Ive never minded paying it because I trusted petsmart and felt that my pets were safe here.... I was wrong. Our dogs have been boarded many many times, before and we have never had an issue. I am beyond disgusted, as Im up at 2:15am with a sick dog. The vet we saw earlier today said theyve had multiple cases of this from the pet hotel recently. I realize this is a risk you take boarding dogs, but a warning that its been an issue would be nice. You would expect a day care to tell you if a recent flu outbreak before you put your kid in harms way, dogs should be no different. We will definitely not be back here.

DO NOT go to this location. I have written 2 letters to the corporate office regarding this store and still have yet to be answered. My dog was forced to hold his bowels for over 6 hours because he was taken out of doggie day camp and left in a kennel and forgotten about. The workers on duty told me they actually forgot about him! i have read other reviews of this happening. My dog has attended other camps and has never been so scared to return to a place in his life. They are rude, prejudicial and racist "managers" and workers.
