The shop is filthy and smelly. Employees DELIBERATELY put in less wax worms in containers and then they split the amount in half just to over-price to customers. Most of the wax and horn worms are dead, yet the employees LIE and say they are alive to still sell dead, smelly worms. The horn worms are not fed with fresh chow, and the horn worms starve and eat their own poo. A bearded dragon is in a tank located near the front close to the register, and the dragons tank is full of sand and the dragon is very thin and it looks impacted. The employees are VERY DISHONEST and VERY RUDE. I will never buy from there again, and their unprofessionalism lost me as their customer including many other customers.

I went there last week to purchase a replacement filter for my tank and explained my tank situation, the lady that helped me was very helpful and explained what I should be doing to my tank and what I cant do.. The result... After 16hrs with the new filter and advises she gave my tank was crystal clear!! Yes 16hrs! Im so glad I went here! The other guy employee was very helpful in regards to my questions about setting up a salt water tank. Once Im ready to build my salt water tank this is the place where I will go.

While the store is dirty ,back in the day I could get some decent prices on nice corals and salt water fish. In the last year though they raised the prices on all salt water to ridiculous levels. Of the five stores I frequent in a 40 mile radius they are now the most expensive of all. Im not sure why theyre so far off on the value of salt water. I use to buy stuff here every week but lately their prices are so far off the charts that I just wait and go to the aquarium center instead.

REALLY wish they would clean up the entire store...there are so few "old school" pet shops left. They have both fairly well stocked fresh and salt water fish, as well as reptiles and amphibians. The problem is the store is SO dirty. One REALLY has to know what to look for (disease-wise) on fish because their tanks can be dirty and/or diseased to to the novice. I could almost ensure that their business would at the very least double if they just cleaned up their act....

Since all of the "big corp," pet stores have put all the mom and pop places close to me out of business, I have to TRAVEL to get food for my Anaconda. So I go to Value Pet pretty often. The Big Name stores find what I feed her to be "politically incorrect," and WILL NOT SELL ME WHAT I NEED. I have no real problem doing this, since I purchased her there about 10 years ago. The folks there are always friendly, and I never have a problem with them!

Good people, good fish, dirty store. The owners are cool guys and love to talk fish... offered to special order for me and then actually did it! (very rare!!). Weve had very good luck with their fish, but note that they dont quarantine their beat-up/sick fish, so dont put their water in your tank. Store is filthy and the back usually smells terrible due to the feeder rodents. I dont care about that, so it gets a good review!

Im here maybe once a week minimum getting supplies for my reptiles including substrates food etc. its nice considering they have a wide selection of fish and supplies. And and a nice selection of reptiles. Also its only one of the few pet stores in the area. Ill go to value pet any day over pets Mart or petco. Im on my way there now to pick up some feeder mice

IF YOU BUY AN ANIMAL FROM HERE YOULL NEVER FORGIVE YOURSELF Dont go to this store I gave it so many chances but trust me please I beg you dont buy an animal from this store Ive bought fish , a week later I noticed It gave my other fish ick. store condition is horrible a crack house has a better environment. the few animals they have left look diseased.

I love this store. The employees are honest, caring, and knowledable. I buy mice here for my corn snakes and crickets and dubia roaches for my bearded dragon and leopard gecko. Just dont buy reptiles from them. They dont have the healthiest animals for sale. Except the ball pythons. Instead go to a reptile or animal expo or show.

Got my savannah monitor today, even though im somewhat afraid to touch him. i did get him, i was holding him today and he went to the bathroom all over -_-. so i might be returning him for a gecko.. or a less killer animal :/. but overall GREAT staff :) the lizard is indeed healthy, no problems

Very helpful store. I call up, see if they have the fish I want and how many, and go pick it up. The employees dont BS you about their stock like they do at PetSmart. Never had any problems or sick fish, and they have a good selection and knowledgable employees. 5 friggin stars

Help seams to be knowledgeable I grew up coming here and prefer mom and pop prices to the big chains discount. I have seen the toll big chain have had on it in recent years and try to help.i leave happy and hope people give it a try

Would not recommend this place. All fish died before I got the home wouldnt replace them. Tank and filter system was supposed to be new they were used. Manager is a unruly persons. Screams at employees all the time

Bought three fish from there and all had ich. I also notice that a lot of their stock is either sick or look weak. I told one of their employees that the fish looked sick and she proceeded to sell the fish anyway.
