If I could rate a zero I would .....A friend of mine purchased a guinea pig from here ... The Guinea pig had conjunctivitis in its left eye so it was taken to the vet... After they left the vet with a costly vet appointment they contacted monster pets and was told that they do not reimburse vet bills... the pig now a week later has ringworm all over its body which was preexistant but did not show signs until the last few days (besides the fact monster pets didnt not notice the pig is missing all toes on its one foot and a few on another) ... Contacted store again and they stated that they could return the pig with a refund of purchase price or trade him in and that is it ... They love the pig they want to keep him but that option was not given unless they foot the bills for the vet them selves for something that was caused by the store ... By law to sell animals in new jersey vet reimbursement at a reasonable cost must be given as an option and it was not...apparently Owners are not there until Friday and the manager was less than helpful he just kept stating that he "has never ran into this issue b4" .. I find it hard to believe that no animals have been returned do to not being healthy!!! I will never purchase an animal from any of their facilities ... Buyers beware of this place!!!

I SHOP HER REGULARLY AND NEVER HAD A ISSUE WITH THE STAFF GREAT OWNERS MANAGEMENT IS GREAT ALSO THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY SURE THEY HAS SOME ISSUES IN THE PAST AS FAR AS THE PUPPIES GO BUT AS SOON AS THEY REALIZED THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THEIR BREEDERS THE ENDED THEIR AGREEMENT WITH THEM AND OPENED UP A PET SALON THAT GIVES YOU THE OPTION TO CLEAN YOUR DOG YOURSELF OR HAVE ONE OF THEIR HIGH TRAINED GROOMERS DO IT FOR YOU AS FOR PRICES SOME THINGS ARE SLIGHTS EXPENSIVE BUT MOST OF THE STUFF IS FAIRLY PRICED WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT WITH A SMALL COMPANY SUCH AS MONSTER PETS ITS NOT LIKE THEIR WALMART OF PETSMART WHICH BY THEY WAS FOR EVERYBODY COMPLAINING ABOUT ANIMAL NEGLECT AND CRUELTY PLEASE GO ON YOUTUBE AND TYPE IN ANIMAL CRUELTY IN THE SAME SENTENCE WITH PETSMART AND BE AMAZED.. BY THE WAY I BOUGHT MY LEOPARD GECKO FROM MONSTER PETS ABOUT 8 MONTHS AGO HE WAS PURCHASED HEALTHY AND STILL IS GROWING AND VERY ACTIVE. PROS 1. FRIENDLY AND WELL TRAINED STAFF 2. Monster Pets is notorious for animal cruelty by supporting puppy mills. Dont be fooled by the (idiot) staff members telling you they get their dogs from local breeders.. yeah right.. alot of the dogs they sell arent even purebreeds.. just lazy mixes they they slap cute names and BIG price tags on. While that cute little puppy in the window may look perfectly fine, its mom is in a 3x3 dirty wire pen somewhere. Instead of supporting these terrible puppy mill dealers, get back on the Black Horse Pike heading towards Atlantic city.. go about 20 minutes/8 miles down the road. Make a right onto Lakeland Road... go straight out threw lakeland and you will reach a dead end. Make a left, then make the first right onto County House Road. There you will found the Camden County Animal Shelter where over 6,000 (!) animals are brought in each year. You can find lots of great cats and dogs looking for homes. No matter if the dog you bought from monster pets is perfectly okay that doesnt make it all better that you just forked over hundreds of dollars to go back into the puppy mill business. Boycott all stores that sell cats and dogs, There are millions left homeless each year to be hit by cars, tortured, or slaughtered in shelters.

ABSOLUTE DISGRACE OF A MANAGER AND CUSTOMER SERVICE!! My family and I had walked in to this store looking for a female bunny. We stood there for almost 30 minutes in the same spot which was located by the registers without anyone greeting or asking us if we needed help so I asked the sale associate Jenny about the female bunny, she replied with an attitude and said we are not licensed and need to take it to a vet to find the sex. So I asked her if we can pick up the bunny so my daughter can pet it and she misunderstood what we were saying and thought that we wanted to check the bunny ourselves and snapped with an attitude and said I will get my manager. As we waited another 20 minutes for a manager Lauren was staring at us and never came over instead she walked to the back of the store so I went back and returned my items I had purchased while waiting. Point and fact of the matter is WHY DO YOU HAVE A JOB IN CUSTOMER SERVICE IF YOU DONT WANT TO HELP YOUR CUSTOMERS!!!!!???? Instead of trying to help us we were COMPLETELY IGNORED. I would rather spend my money somewhere else where I am treated with respect.

Awesome Family attraction. This newest Monster Pets store is by far the best store around. Hundreds of varieties of pet foods all at better prices than any of the bigger chains or local independents too. The Anti-Puppy Mill people obviously are pushing their own agenda against this store. I wonder how many shelter dogs would be rescued if these "protesters" actually spent their time working at a shelter or any of the rescue events held at local stores, including Monster Pets instead of sitting on the computer bad mouthing businesses. In my eyes (and obviously many others) this store is the best of both worlds.

All of their puppies come from puppy mills. The store lists the name of the "breeder" with each puppy, so I wrote them down and looked up the names online. Lancaster County Pa is where a lot of these dog come from and where there have been many issues in the news about puppy mills. The few times Ive been in this store I have seen several dogs look sick, not move much and they are selling for $599-$1399. Either adopt and save a life from the animal shelter for around $100, or contact a reputible breeder. DO NOT BUY from stores that support the inhumane treatment of dogs through puppy mills!

I Love monster pets. They are very kind. When I was purchasing my leopard gecko I got alot of help and information. My kids are young so I wanted a lizard thats not going to scare them from ever wanting another one. Well they love her. I was so scared because she was such a baby, but now she is healthy, active and growing. Get my crickets every week with their cricket cup I love that I dont have to keep some in the house just buy feed her and go back when she needs more. Thank you monster pets you guys are incredible. Dont forget to ask to hold bill!!

This is very convenient and close to my house so I made the switch from Cutters Mill to Monster Pets as my regular food supplier. I always purchase Blue in the 30lb bags and it used to be $47.99. Without warning, the price just jumped to $59.99! The clerk told me the pricing from Blue was raised, not the store price, but this is total B.S. I checked elsewhere and the price in other chains only went up by a few bucks. I can buy the same thing at PetSmart for $52.99. I hate to give up on the convenience, but I will no longer be using Monster Pets.
