My interest in ball pythons has grown over the past few weeks/month, and I wanted to see a few in person. Since theres no reptile expos, shops, etc. around me, I was stuck with corporate stores such as PetSmart. I was always wary of these kinds of stores with regards to buying animals and now my concerns were validated. Starting with the ball python brochure/care sheet, the 30-50% humidity level it suggested for ball pythons is wrong! For balls, a 50-60% humidity level is suggested, increasing to 60-70% during shedding cycles. Moving onto the enclosure of the snake, it wasnt too bad. It was basic cage suitable for a baby ball python, and while I thought there should have been an actual hide, it wasnt bad at all. The thermometer was at a good range of ~90 degrees, which is where it should be, but the humidity was low, in line with their (incorrect) brochure. I saw a little ball on the side of the cage and asked an employee if I could hold him, what their eating habits were, etc. They had their eating habits recorded and dated. When the employee took the cage out and removed the log in the cage, I had realized that there was not one, but three snakes in this small enclosure. This is a punctual no-no when it comes to ball pythons, as having more than one in a cage can cause stress to the other snakes. When I took the one I saw on the side out of the cage, I realized that his eyes were a pale/hazy blue, a characteristic of shedding. Since the humidity was nowhere near where it needs to be for these animals to have a successful shed, that little guy is going to have problems. For me, all of this said to stay away from corporate stores when buying animals, especially reptiles and others that require special care. Find a reputable online dealer/breeder who has been involved with the snakes for a decade or two, who actually have respect for the animal and dont see it as just a job.

I was very disappointed they have a schedule up for when you can see the kittens up for adoption And the schedule said 9-11 am. It was 10 am And the lady was not there turns out she had a doctors appointment. My real complaint is the girl that works there opened the door to where the kittens are and the smell was unbelievable bad. I dont know how often they clean that area, but I have to say I couldnt get the smell out of my nose. It was really bad. Please, please clean this Its a disgrace

Amazing staff. The store manager helped me pick out everything I need for my new puppy. I also had the pleasure of getting my dog groomed by Kristen. My dog was extremely matted and she was able to get him shaved down. She provided a great service and showed so much love and care for my dog. I highly recommend her!!!

Michelle is excellent in the grooming salon. My dog came home happy and not anxious like she usually would, she looked great and smelled even bette- like a sugar cookie. Some people just have a way with dogs and Michelle is definately one of them! Thank you.
