Bikes are good! Cycling is fun! If you believe in these attitudes, the BikeLine of Exton, PA is an under-new-management bike shop you have to visit and you must get to know Mike and Tom and the rest of the staff. For over 20 years I have purchased bikes for our family and myself from BikeLine of Exton. I have just completed purchasing our familys 16th bike and my 8th bike from this location. This is my first experience with the new management team in Exton and I cannot say enough about Mikes professional demeanor, his enthusiasm, his expertise, his business skills, his knowledge of the products, and most importantly Mike and his teams willingness to listen to and surpass my needs and expectations. My five-year-old Trek Madone road bike developed a small defect in its carbon frame. Mike and his team totally handled the issue by sending the frame back to Trek, making all the correct contacts which resulted in the frame being repaired in a timely manner. However, with Treks lifetime frame guarantee, Mike went beyond my issue and encouraged Trek to offer me their "crash replacement" policy. By doing this I was able to purchase a new road bike at an attractive price. I am a 64-year-old cyclist. Mike and his staff listened carefully to my needs as a mature cyclist. They were always able to understand my particular riding style and geared me towards a successful road bike upgrade through Treks "crash replacement" policy. BTW, I did not have a "crash"; it was just a small defect that developed in my Madones frame. I currently own three Trek bikes, all of which have been serviced at the BikeLine of Exton by Mike and his staff. I can offer nothing but high praise for this shops positive upbeat attitude and interaction with me as a cyclist and the careful attention they give to my bikes to keep safely rolling along on the roads and paved trails of our great cycling area. In addition to my fine road bike I own two Trek 7.5Fx "flat bar road bikes" for riding the expanding paved trails in our area, keeping one if these Fx bikes "down the shore" in South Jersey at our vacation condo. Buying a bike is more than getting a good deal financially. You form a bond and an important relationship with the shop that sells you your bike. The excellent social, business, and technical skills that I have experienced with Mike and his staff at the BikeLine of Exton is what I look for, hope for, and expect from "my bike shop". If you are shopping for a bike, need service on your bike, or just want to meet people who live and enjoy the goodness and fun of cycling, get to BikeLine of Exton. You will be very happy to meet and get to know Mike and his staff.

I guess my experience was a bit different. I called the shop mid-morning Friday with an emergency problem with my headset. I was heading away on a biking weekend and discovered that my headset was loose. I told him that Id be there as soon as I could get away from work and grab my son from school. I bought my bike in and he got right to work. When he discovered that I needed a new headset, he called another Bike Line to find one since it was an odd size. He later sent me across the street to check for the headset (a competitor). They had it so I brought it back for him to install. After some frustration with the fit of the headset, I was finally on my way. I would have been out of luck if not for this owner. By the way, the repair charge was reasonable as well. He didnt gouge me because of my need. Im very appreciate of his efforts. I cant speak to the other issues but he came though for me.

I tried two other local bike shops to have my brakes adjusted before coming here. Neither were apparently busy but said they would not to a job that takes max. 20 mins and probably more like 5, and that I would have to leave my bike at least overnight for the work to be done, despite my expressed desire to be able to ride later that afternoon. Not here. The staff actually listened and cared, and did the work on the spot despite actually having other customers. The work was done at a lower price than either of the two competitors would have charged. From now on this is where I will be taking my bike for repairs; the service is impeccable and the mechanics know how to get the job done!!

John is a great person and always helpful. The prices are not the cheapest but the service and knowledge is always the best, so Im willing to pay for that. Im not a normal bike consumer, I have 6 bikes of all different styles and rarely have a mechanic touch my bikes, but John I will let work on my bikes. He respects my need to do jobs myself but will help me fix them if I screw it up. Ive found the one shop I will use for everything. Even if he doesnt have the part, he can get it for me. If I need someone to talk to about an issue (aka cant order it online) this Bike Line is the place to go.

Got my bike about 3 weeks ago but finally had time to write a review becasue i have been riding so much with all the nice weather. First I have to say that John was very helpful in choosing a bike, he didnt just run over to the highest priced bike, he talked to me for about 15-20 minutes about my habits and techniques. After seeing 3 different bikes, I got a trek 2.1 and it is awesome. John really knows his stuff and I will be coming back for any and all maintance with my bike. A Plus service, and selection. walked out with my new wheels, clips and bottle holder!!!

I blew a valve out right as I was getting ready to go for a ride on the Chester Valley Trail. Took my bike over to Bike Line, Exton to see if they could do the quick repair. Tom was friendly, knowledgeable, and replaced the tube without charging me for labor. He also gave my bike a mini tune up! No wait time and I was back on the trail with plenty of light left for a decent ride. I will definitely return to this bike shop when its time to make some purchases.

This store does not stand by their return policy. We went in to return a bike, unused, and within the return policy listed on the website, and the owner claimed that it was a Final Sale and refused to return it. While the bike was on sale, there was no mention of a Final Sale. The receipt did not have any mention of a Final Sale. The owner refused to return the bike, and was extremely rude. Go to another location, such as Pottstown or West Chester.

Fantastic service, great selection of bikes. John is one of the best bike mechanics in the area and he always works quickly, efficiently and fairly (he wont do work that you dont need). His prices are very reasonable and he is always pleasant and friendly. Have been a patron for over 10 years and intend to keep taking him my business.
