I purchased a car at Sterling. I ask very specific questions about some known issues with BMWs, oil leaks and maintenance problems. I was told by the owner that oil leaks had been repaired. While driving home the car began to smoke from under the hood. After taking to my local independent repair shop they traced the leaks to the very parts that I was told were repaired and or replaced. Sterling told me to have the repairs done and they would reimburse me. The repair is a typical and known oil leak with BMW. I submitted my bill. for repairs that I was told by Sterling were fixed. The local shop who did the work showed me the gaskets and seals taken off the car, they were cracked and crushed original parts. Sterling couldnt have replaced them and had the parts crack and leak in less than a month. My mechanic says the area was probably just power washed and wiped down to look like it was fixed. They refused to pay for repairs the they, Sterling, said were repaired. Like having a plumber say he fixed the leak and having it still leak. But we wont repair it again OR reimburse you for having to get it fixed again My mechanic also noted that there were some MAJOR safety issues with the drive line. That Sterling was reluctant to address properly. Brock wanted to replace worn parts with used parts!! Sterling was very difficult with getting repairs done. Repeated calls were left unanswered or told that the owner was on vacation or out for the day. Just after the "2 month 1000 mile warranty" expired the front rotor seized, the AC unit stopped working, the power mirror stopped working, the front tires had large cuts on the inside and were running the wrong direction. Probably just remounted to put cuts on the inside. I would be VERY careful if you look at any car on Sterlings lot. I feel they talk the talk, but just polish some turds and put them out for sale. Buyer beware!!

I have been a BMW owner for years. . I started out with several dealerships that were just horrible and ended up checking out Sterling Motorcar in Ephrata. I started out by sending an email inquiry. Brad got back to me right away! He answered my my basic questions with accuracy and professionalism. The car I was interested in was available and I made an appointment . I went to the dealership and he was there to greet me. I worked with him and another guy to make sure the car was exactly what I was looking for. I took the car for a test drive and was absolutely amazed at the condition . It looks and feels like a new car and came with a current Pa state inspection. Also, without my asking, a carfax was sitting on the desk waiting for my inspection. (a free carfax is available for every one of their cars on their website, I know because I ran a bunch of them while searching their inventory). They worked with me on every aspect from sale to financing to any questions and concerns I had about the 06 BMW 328XI I purchased. As for the financing, they got me a great rate with Members 1st and it took less than 15 minutes to complete the paperwork. This was the easiest and most hassle free car purchase we have ever had! (the last time I bought a car, we were in there for 3 hrs saying NO over and over again for extras that cost thousands more but did not want) By the way... Brad followed up with me again today to make sure all is well. In a few months to a year my husband will be looking for a new vehicle and we plan on going to Sterling Motorcar! I Love my BMW and I love how they make the car buying experience fun and painless!

I was a bit disappointed with my experience at Sterling when I purchased my Audi in 2009. The salesman was quite pushy and withheld the fact that the car only had one key until after the paperwork was signed. Then, he ordered a new one for me without my asking, but wanted me to pay for it. They took the navigation disc from the car as well. Additionally, I asked about the Carfax because the front was missing the Quattro emblem and the hood looked misaligned. They insisted on giving me an Autocheck instead of Carfax, which I didnt really know the difference at the time. Unfortunately, here it is - a little over two years later - and while trying to trade the Audi in, I find out that it had been wrecked in New York prior to my purchasing it. I was blatantly lied to and was given false information. Its a shame that I found this out too late for me to do anything or else theyd be sitting in court. I advise caution when dealing with this company. I hate to say its the dealership as my salesman ended up quitting shortly after selling me the car in order to go work for the garbage company, but all I can say is be careful and do your homework. Dont accept an Autocheck alone. Demand a Carfax. If the history is clean, they should have no issues giving it to you. If they refuse, please reconsider your purchase.

My wife and I purchased a Volvo 2.4 DL 6 months ago from Lenny and Brad. They conducted business the "right" way. Not too Pushy! They gave me the space I needed to make my decision which is hard to find these days. It took me 5 days to make my final move. Two visits to their lot and 4-5 phone calls to gather more information and secure our financing. They supplied me with a Carfax on my very first visit. Brad was very patient and understanding throughout the entire finance process. I actually went with my own financing and never was pressured to use their own sources. I wanted to wait awhile before I wrote this review to make sure I was happy with the Volvo. We love this car! The fuel mileage is surprisingly better than expected. Had a little performance issue but it was discovered that the plugs needed changed and what a difference after changing them. Thank you for everything!

Ive been looking for a car for the past 2 months and have received a mixed experience throughout. Some dealerships threw me around, some didnt care because Im 21 years old. However, Sterling Motorcars was friendly and professional. Mr. Weaver made the experience streamline, and because I live out of state in Buffalo NY, he stayed far after when he was supposed to close in order to make sure my paperwork was completely taken care of and I could drive the car off the lot. I just happened to find him on Car Guru with the car I dreamed of having when I was in my teens, and a couple hours later I was driving it back to Buffalo. Thank you Mr. Weaver for such a great experience.

Pretty disappointed in my interaction with this establishment. Vehicle advertised for $5500 on multiple websites and verified with salesperson. Had a verbal agreement to purchase vehicle and had the financing approval started. Later received a call stating the owner claimed there must have been a system mistake because the vehicle sale price is $6750. All of this after they found out the AC compressor on the vehicle was shot and theyd take a loss on the replacement. Not sure if it was a mistake or a way to try and recoup their losses. Either way, not exactly good business behaviour.
