My experience over a stop in for saddle shopping was discouraging. Spoke to an older store rep. about a suggestion for more sophisticated comfortable lightweight mtb saddles for me and my wife. He looked at me strangely and explained the little distinctions between hard saddles and more cushioned ones such as large comfort saddle. He asked to check out the saddle so we went outside to look over it. He then asked my wife to take a ride in the lot to examine her riding positioning (which wasnt the problem) but got distracted by another visitors wheel issue then left to go back inside. A few problems were clear, several models of the same WTB saddles piled in a bin under that saddle section which meant they stood by it or others replaced the saddle immediately upon purchasing a bike. They should realize this right? Also test riding a saddle was too much trouble for him. Anyone that might want to buy a saddle should try it out first, common sense. Certainly theres more comfortable mtb saddles available as many on public forums have mentioned. Replacing a stock crap saddle is normal but telling me that padding in seats are all the same followed by distractions was pretty poor customer service and a pretty low knowledge base also. No less than three stars because he doesnt account for the rest of the store and the staff. We might return.

Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and community oriented. I recently trained for a bike fundraiser and, as an older woman (58) returning to the sport after many years, needed much advice regarding bike, accessories, supplies etc. The owner of this family business advised me on every need as I progressed and offered me and my team a significant discount on every item, including my bike, to help our fundraiser. I was grateful for his expertise and enthusiasm as well as his passion, which I observed while shopping at his store, for encouraging bicyclists of all ages and skill levels to enjoy the sport. His son was also always helpful and considerate, lifting my bike in an out of my car for me, explaining details of the use of the odometer I purchased, etc. This shop is a gift to the community and I cant rate it highly enough. The staff was always a pleasure to do business with and because of their professional expertise and neighborly support I had the proper equipment and the confidence to expand my horizons in bicycling from trails to the road to a 105-mile Tour, and enjoy the experience every cycled mile of the way.

I dont know if they are really closed as they just answered the phone. I gave this company a call inquiring about a bike. Whomever answered the phone was very rude and difficult to speak with. They carried the brand bike I was looking for, but lost my business due to poor service. I was taken back by the response and I didnt even know what to say I was so surprised. I will spend the extra time to drive to Harrisburg and do all my shopping at Peddle Pushers as they were very friendly when I asked the exact same questions. The bike was nearly $1000 so I am just amazed with the poor attitude I received. If they are closed - I see why.

We bought two Raleigh Trail Bikes from Rails to Trails bike shop and had them both expertly set up and adjusted for riding. We have had already between 150-200 miles of carefree riding on Rail Trails in just a few months. Its amazing what a difference a great bike makes on a rail trail. This shop is a great resource, however the only drawback is that they are not open on Mondays and Tuesdays and they close early in the day. Because they are so great, it would be good if they stayed open longer.

He is only out to make a buck and didnt seem the least bit interested in gaining a new customer. Dont ask for help because you wont find it here. Such poor customer service. I was going to buy something there but not after he degraded other bike manufactures and said buying a Giant bike is like buying a K-Mart bike! He also said Google reviews are a joke and submitted by employees of the companies to make them look good. Well here you go buddy, eat this review.

Lance and team have been a great source of bicycles, maintenance, knowledge of local trails, and encouragement over the last seven years. Lance has the best bikes for different types of riding, a large selection of gear, and sage advice about riding safely. It is so cool that the shop is right on the trail! Their cold drinks have saved me from a blistering hot run, ride, or walk a few times over the years.

My husband and I recently rented bikes here and rode on the Conewago Trail, which is right there by the shop. It was a great experience - the trail is beautiful, and nice and flat. Its great to have a bike rental right there, and they were very helpful in giving us advice about the trail, etc. We also did a bunch of Geo-caches along the trail, which was great fun.

I recommend Rails to Trail Bicycle Shop with unqualified enthusiasm. The owner, Lance Koons, is the best. He guided me patiently and expertly to the perfect bike, then made sure it was optimally adjusted for my size and riding style. Fantastic bike shopping experience, well worth driving the few extra miles from Enola.

I enjoy working on my own bike. For a local shop, Rails to Trail has a surprising inventory of tools. Lance is also very helpful with repair advice. If I cant fix it, I will trust Lance to do it.
