My husband brought our 2 mountain bikes in to get tuned up for the summer. It cost us $60 dollars a piece to get all the gears, tubes, brakes checked. They also said that they would add oil to the brakes if needed. My husband comes back in the following day, picks up the bikes and brings them home. At home we notice that my back brake wasnt even working and oil was leaking out!!! How could they possibly of missed this? I could understand something minor like a tube, but my back brake!?! My husband tried to work on it to get the back brake to work but no luck. So I called the shop, explained the situation, and the owner told me that for another $25 dollars he would look at it???? WAIT WHAT? I bring my bike to you to get tuned up and apparently all you did was rip me off. To top it off my husband hops on his bike and his back tire is completely flat. I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE NOR WILL I RECOMMEND ANYONE HERE. All together our complete bill was $200 dollars because we bought 2 parts along with the $60 tune up. We are going to return the parts because I want nothing to do with this business.

This is a great family owned bike shop specializing in Jamis bikes, a value-oriented brand with solid components. I purchased a road bike here a couple of years ago and was very pleased with the bike and the shop. They were able to price match a web site, but I still got the professional assembly and the support of a local bike shop. They helped me dial in the fit correctly on the bike, as well. I returned this month to purchase a 20-inch boys bike for my 6-year old son and they were again excellent. The owner is kind and friendly, and the younger bike mechanic is capable and reliable. This time, I didnt have a price match, but was able to negotiate a small discount off of retail. This shop is not as high-profile as Agees or Carytown Bicycles, but its a great place to do business. Mechanical work is also well priced, although I have not any need for it yet.

I bought two mountain bikes (GT Outpost, Jamis) there last year at a very good price. I price shopped online and couldnt find anywhere (that looked half-way legit) that was cheaper. Plus with most places I saw online, you had to assemble bike yourself. Its a family-owned bike store and Ive had nothing but great service from them. I just took my bike in because for a very minor fix which I couldnt figure out and they fixed it at no charge since I bought my bikes there (YMMV). When we were bike shopping we went to Agees first and after waiting for 15 minutes and asking two people at their SS store, no one helped us - very rude. A family member told me about Goodlys, went there same day and found our bikes! I would definitely recommend checking them out if you are bike shopping.

I have never bought a bicycle from a store in my life. I have always gone with Craigs list. I can not say anything bad about this shop. The salesperson, Dakota, was extremely knowledgeable about the bikes and not pushy. He greeted me as soon as I walked in and was very straight forward. The price was very reasonable and I was allowed to compare multiple bikes by test riding in the parking lot. Needless to say, this shop is my go-to for all things bikes from now on. Cant beat locally owned and personal attention. Thank you so much and I cant wait to start riding my new bike!

I went in for a bike helmet, and came out with two used mountain bikes for my kids. The price was excellent, and the salesman (Nick, I believe) helped us take apart the bikes to fit them in the car. Im going back to get my wife a new bike in a few weeks. I also dropped off a 20 year old Peugeot for shifter work. The bike was fixed in a day, and works great.

1.5 miles into a 23 mile ride and my chain broke off of my bike. We hitched a ride to Goodly and they immediately replaced the chain and cassette and had me back on the road. A great bike repair experience and I will definitely be going back for all of my service and repair needs.

I would not suggest going here. Poor service. No attentiveness. They do not call as stated when work is complete. Just not an overall professional store. Finally, while their bikes are top rated, they are way over priced.

Best shopping experience in my life! This is the best locally owned store in Glen Allen. Therefore, I nominate Goodly Bicycle for the Richmond Best 2016 award. Do you read me Style magazine. Boom!
