The staff at this store are wonderful! Beth is a kick in the butt and goofy while still providing excellent customer service. Steven is a sweet and quiet guy but very efficient and good at his job. Phil is a manager and is competent and from what Ive seen of his interactions with his employees, hes firm but compassionate. The store itself is clean and well ordered, unlike Goodwill. Yes, some of the prices are a bit high, but if you are diligent and shop the 1/2 price sales, 1/2 price tags, and $2 Thursdays (not to mention senior day and assorted holiday sales) you can make a killing. A friend of mine tends to see nothing but junk when we go in but after 30 minutes of shopping shell come back to me from the clothing department and ask where I found all of the really cool stuff. I tell her, "In there with the junk." We have both found expensive handbags for less than $20 that we have resold for near retail on Ebay. Same with collectables and antiques. The place is a crafters dream on $2 Thursdays if the tag color matches any of the tags on wedding gowns or formal dresses. All it takes is being a smart shopper to buy the raw materials for money making crafts. The isles are wide and two carts can pass each other easily. Have you ever tried to pass another shopper in an isle in a Goodwill? Yeah, thats a huge pain if it can be done at all. The only bad thing I have to say about this Value Village is that the ladies room, in hot weather, reeks of ... well... you know... Its not because its dirty, though. There is a problem with the plumbing in the building that causes the stench to come through a floor drain. This should be fixed by the owners of the property and cant be fixed by the store. The smell doesnt reach the store proper so youre good to go as long as you dont have to pee. Oh, and the handicapped stall in the ladies room is too small to take a power wheel chair. This sucks for me and others.

Sometimes I will leave with one item, sometimes not. It just really depends on their inventory. I find that coming on Saturday evenings is the most ideal time to shop here since Sunday is typically packed and picked over. I have found great gems here such as Kate Spade mini skirt for $9.99 and tops for well under $10.00 that are in great condition. Although I typically purchase vintage pieces, but I have noticed a lot of Anthropologie and J-Crew clothing items at this location. If I have one recommendation, I would just check out all the sizes since I noticed that some clothing has the size tag taken out. As for improvements in the store, I suggest having more fitting rooms since there is only 3 at the moment... Otherwise, its a great store and prices are super reasonable!

Misleading Sales I went on a day when "bed and bath" items were 40% off. I brought a bath brush (to scrub your back) to the check-out and the manager charged full price. He said, "Thats not bed and bath." Thats "housewares and accessories." I said, "What is more on target as a bath item than a bath scrub brush?! He said, Nope." Scam. Fake sale just to get customers. Another time I didnt see some of my purchases in my bags when I arrived home. I called and the manager on duty said she would reimburse me. I drove the 40 miles to the store and the overall manager said, "Its not our policy." He would not stand behind the promise the manager on duty gave, even after I told him I had driven 40 miles.

Whats the deal with the prices being so over priced? Thrift stores original intent was to provide free donated clothing to the poor & middle class" then they opted to charge small amounts to pay for overhead. Fast forward 60 years & most thrift stores now are to a degree ripping off thousands of people by selling virtual junk to the naive public. A person can now find better to equivalent prices if you were to go to target Kmart etc. Thriftstores need to go back to their old ways.

I went here last week during senior day (I was with my senior friend) I was able to buy 2 nice coats, 2 sweaters and 5 blouses for only 35$! It would have been 70$ if I wasnt with a senior. QUICK FACT: Every Tuesday, its a senior day, that means all seniors will get 50% discounts. The only thing that I dont like is they dont have a lot of petite size skirts and dresses. The customer service is awesome too,the old lady at the counter was so friendly. Id definitely come back!

Tonight (10/07/16) at approx. 5:15 pm I went into Value Village in Tigard, Oregon. I go about once every two weeks to donate and purchase. Tonight I exchanged something for the first time. April was at the check stand in an orange pumpkin outfit. She was extremely rude both times she waited on me. No other employee has ever been rude to me any previous time I have gone to the store. Thumbs down to April!

I go here about every other week and usually find something. Its one of those thrift stores that you have to go to often in order to really score. And the prices are way cheaper than the goodwill down the street. Books for .99-2.99, blouses for 3-9 home decor for .99-4.99, of course there is the occasional overpriced item but thats just part of thrifting... you never know what youre going to get!

This review is from my perspective as a picker. I rarely find things here that I can make a $ off of. They have a good selection of books, but they are overpriced, they turn over the albums, but they are scratched to hell. I dont sell clothes, so I dont know about that. Rarely do they have decent furniture though. They are okay on other housewares . I keep trying though.

I find a lot of great stuff here, really good kitchenware and sometimes really good toys for my son. Only problem is the pricing...which doesnt seem to have any outlines...one pan is 2.99 in great shape another is a junker for 5.99. I once found a royal dansk cookie tin there when all the wrappers in it for 2.99

Better prices than goodwill but unfortunately not many locations, but if youre in the area definitely worth a visit. They have the color code discounts just like goodwill but with the added benefit of, like I said, already being cheaper than them. Cute clothes and a good dress and jacket selection.

Hey totally dont know how to price things. Its a ridiculous place. The store its self is messy, the employees could care less or not that your there. I mean come on if u work in retail or any customer service u need to be kind of a people person or change to a job where ue less miserable.

Oh god, this place is disgusting. Ive been in a few times just to browse for books and such, but had to stop after a while. Found half-eaten food and trash on the shelves, areas that smell alternatively like vomit or feces, you name it. Seriously, dont bother unless you want hepatitis.
