Up until recently I would gladly take my wifes bike, as well as my own bike, down to this shop to get repair work and tune ups done. I was very satisfied with the end result and the bikes would ride as smooth as butter. However, I took my bike down for a very minor issue recently that only took the owner of the shop 3 minutes to assess. The bike was working fine again after that and I did not believe that any money exchange was needed, but the owner asked me for 10 bucks. Now, I dont know about you, but the only people I know that make 10 bucks in three minutes are surgeons/engineers. I have put a lot of money into this bike shop since moving here and I expect for something that simple to be free of charge. I have been to many other bike shops that have not charged me for three minutes of their time. I will no longer be taking my bikes down there for repairs.

I walked in to this bike shop and asked to borrow a screwdriver to screw the bolts on my cycle cleats. The man at the counter told me he doesnt lend tools. I told him I needed to tighten three bolts on the bottom of my cleats. He again said no. I asked him if he would do it so he didnt need to give me the tool. He bluntly said no. I dont know about you but when I need to fix something as small as that on my bike I can walk into almost any business anywhere and ask for help and Ive never been turned down. When I walked into a bike shop to fix bike parts and get told no thats a bike shop I dont want to go back to.

The man that runs the shop followed my husband in a car while he was on his bike on reservoir at night yelling thief, thief because he claims he owes $10.00 for "looking at the bike" which consisted of moving the peddles for 3 minutes. There is NO REASON to follow a person at night on a busy road riding their bike to harass the person, especially when NO MONEY is owed to this dishonest bike salesman. If you want to look like a crazy idiot and scare customers, you did a great job of that!

Julian has always done an awesome job for our families bicycles whether it was a tune up, or sales of bicycles or accessories. He is an honest hard working owner operator whos has charged us fairly for work performed. I highly recommend his shop for all of your bicycle needs. It is a stand out business for Philomath and all of Benton County, Oregon.
