This is the place to go if you also want to learn how to fix your bike or take care of minor repairs yourself. I called this morning with a flat and the owner was willing to meet me right away (outside normal bus. hours, which I didnt realize until I got there). He taught me how to diagnose and patch the flat - I got to help repair it and he had all the materials handy. He charged me for materials and extremely little for his own time. He also gave the bike a once-over and adjusted another part which was loose. This store is a good samaritan operation - a person putting their own political/philosophical beliefs into action. I learned a lot. It might have been a little more of my time in the short run, but not in the long run. And certainly worth way more than what I paid. I expect to go back here consistently. Thank You!

Dave and Manny are the best! They both love there work and live what they preach. This store is really special venue for conversation and knowledge. Below is a excerpt from the webpage. Service : usually at arrival, while you watch and learn, participation option. The amount of perticipation is entirely optional. I was fortunate enough for these two to allow me to work on my project. In just two days at the shop, with there knowledge and expertise, I learned and gained more skill, than in any two consecutive days of my life.

Great shop, owner knows his stuff and will help you out. I would be surprised if they cant fix it, and at a cheap price too! Helped me fix up my old bike, and showed me how to do all the steps they did (fixed axle, adjust gear positions, check chain tension, balance wheels, check wheel bearings, etc.)

Dave is very knowledgeable and nice. He has the goal to help and teach rather than to profit. I had him take a look at my road bike which had a squeaky chain and weak brakes. He not only fixed it but also taught me how to do it myself. Check him out for all your bike needs!

Solid shop, two employees working there really knew what they were doing and put a lot of attention and care into the work. Looking forward to bringing my bike back soon for more work, extremely reasonable prices and willing to teach and explain what theyre doing.

The owner really goes the extra mile to make your bike top shape but he also gives you the knowledge to go with it. If you want your bike optimum and the knowledge as well this is the shop you must go to.

Really nice, honest guy in a little shop. He realized he accidentally shorted me a dollar of change and ran out to my car to give it back. Support places like this - they probably wont exist much longer.
