Im not sure if some of the negative reviews are from people who went to a hack joint down the road from Big Top, because in all my visits there, Ive never had a bad experience. Moreover, when I book an appointment a few months out, I actually find myself counting down the days until Im able to go again. I did a great deal of research before ever getting a tattoo, and in 2008 at 28 yrs of age, my findings led me to the creative genius of artist Mark Heggie. Of the three artists featured at the shoppe, Mark, Dan Rick, and Garth Hixon, you honestly cant go wrong. They are a custom shoppe, and the said artists render amazing epidermal etchings. Like most great establishments, the tattoos do all the marketing/advertising they need. Whether you have a specific piece in mind you want done, or if youre kicking around ideas of a couple things you need some artistic insight/vision/development on, the guys at Big Top will far surpass your expectations.....as they did mine. As said by other patrons, the facility is extremely clean, music is always killer (and they take requests on the iPod), the conversation flows like wine, and the ink looks like the Gospel. I started off a simple patron of Big Top, but now feel as though Im part of the family. Thanks Mark....keep the masterpieces flowing! -Garrick

I showed him a simple text with the words I wanted for my tattoo and he came back with a beautiful elegant template that was exactly what I had wanted but could not express! It was larger than I had wanted and even though he tried to explain why it should be bigger, I was still unsure. So he patiently re-created the template smaller a few times to show me how that would look and he was right, it was the correct size the first time! Great staff, very friendly and patient. As a matter of fact, when I made the initial call to see if I could get in that night, my signal dropped and he called me back to finish giving me information!

Ive had well over 10 sessions of work at this establishment, done by both Mark Heggie and Dan Rick. They are always more than professional with setting up the appointments, being on time, respecting ones privacy and dealing with other customers while Im in my session. If Im spending 4+ hours with the same person in a close proximity I would rather an interesting/honest person than a stick in the mud...theyre totally entertaining to be around or I wouldnt have 70+ hours of work on me by Big Top artists! And no I did not know them before they started doing my work. Im a true client.

All I can say is I will not be going back. Ive heard good experiences others have had here, the rudeness and arrogance is just one problem. There is no privacy so you hear all the banter between artists. They cant even afford comfortable seats for there clients, they have stackable chairs to sit on. The shop is way out dated and dont even get me started on the awful music that you have no choice but to listen to. There are way better shops out there and way more talented artists that will appreciate there clients considering we are the ones paying.

Was unhappy with a tattoo I have had for five years. Read the negative reviews but had to stop in and see for myself. Was greeted right away, Dan took a look and felt the same as I did. Thanks to someone cancelling on him he was able to get me in... Did not know how the redo would look but awesome is a understatement!! He nailed it.. Two hours in the shop many people stopped in and all were treated great. Dan is the man and anyone thinking of going somewhere else is nuts...

I got my first tattoo done here and I could not be happier with the results. Josh Fallon was my tattoo artist and he deserves a ton of respect because he helped me pick out the right placement and text size so that the tattoo could turn out the best that it possibly could. Overall, I am extremely happy with their customer service and the quality of their shop. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to get tattooed.

Garth did both of my tattoos a few years ago. He did an excellent job on my foot. I went back a few months later for a coverup on my wrist. It turned out terrible! I regret the coverup more than the original. I recently went to a different artist that added highlights and shading because what was done didnt even cover the original. Gave 2 stars only because of the work that was done on my foot.

I got my tattoo done by Josh around April, he was patient with me knowing that this was my first big tattoo so he let me take breaks, he was making conversation and made me feel comfortable. Overall he was a really cool dude and my expirence was awesome ! Also...it was very clean in the shop which is a huge make it or break it for me but everything was perfect! :)

I have been getting tattooed here consistently over the past 3 years and have never once had a bad experience. Every artist who works here will do whatever it takes to come up with a design that you are happy with (Ive watched it happen first hand many times). The shop is very clean. I would strongly recommend Big Top over any other shops in the area.

Regular customer to Big Top! I researched tattoo shops last year and Big Top stood out for top quality. I was greeted and given a fair price to what I wanted. Im on my 9th tattoo and counting from Big Top. You give them an idea and theyll turn it into an excellent piece. Every artist there is talented and Id recommend them all. Glad I found em!

i have had a few tattoos done by these guys and never once did i feel like i was being treated rudely. also they have always been very accommodating to my schedule. i just wish someone would have educated me about tattoos the way they did earlier in life. everyone that sees the work they have done on me always has good things to say about it.

Ive have 4 small tats done,my 4 sisters and I went and had a special tat.my daughter and her husband go there as do 2 of my nephews. The guys are great there,very friendly and will work with you on what you want.We are all happy with all the tats weve had done. I wouldnt go anywhere else. Thanks guys. Sharon Collins

I came into the shop a few minutes after they opened and asked if they could do a quick walk in. Everyone seemed busy, but they quickly found a way to squeeze in my little tattoo into their busy schedule. My tattoo turned out a lot better than expected and I will be going back. The only downside is that they accept CASH ONLY.

I walked in about a week ago for my 1st tattoo. Lorne does phenomenal work, and he was very easy to talk to as he walked me through the whole process. Very friendly place, and I loved being able to talk with other customers while getting my tattoo. I know once I decide on my next one, that I will be back to Big Top!
