I used to really love the store and support it until i got the animals that i have today. Ive gotten two betta fish from there and one from walmart. When i was buying my first tank and filters me and my mother came here first thinking this is the place to go for sure , their tanks were 30 dollars more than the same ones at petsmart! It was pathetic its not like they DONT Have business and need to bump prices up. What baffled me the most is the gut told us this was a deal. The fish care in general is so poor. Ive pointed out to the careless fish workers that fish were dead and it wasnt even a huge deal to them , customers see that stuff if youre not going to care why should we shop there? And the reptile section. Do not get me started. This pet store appears like theyre alllllll about their reptiles online and they do have an amazing selection and im not saying they dont take carw of most of them well, they do. But sometimes i feel like this per store cares more about quantity than the pet itself , yeah you have a huge selection but its obvious theyre not all taken care of properly. Im only saying this because ive gotten two bearded dragons from here one mine and the other my moms and the adult female she purchased had respitory issues from the amount of humitidy in the tank. If youre going to have lizards make sure everything is okay for them. And their lizards terriums are also over priced and i bought all three of mine from persmart instead . As i was saying. They seem all about reptiles but when you ask them ANYTHING about the ones youre buying they dont care . And these are people that people in the area are suppose to look up to? And i cant even get a simple answer whether my leopard gecko was a boy or girl at the time? They were more focused on getting it in the box and getting me out the door. Dont even bother asking about the reptile food or wven buying any from here. You can get twice as much for the same price offline and the people are so snobby about it if youre a beginner in reptile care if you ask any questions they either dont know or are so short with you they price boxes of crickets without evwn knowing how many arw in the box, an estimate would have been okay but theyve not only told me , but my mother they dont even know how many are in a box. The workers there suck and the place is dirty. The only person that works there that cares about the customer is the younger guy with blonde hair in the reptile section in all honesty. Once you look past the open cage setting where you can pet the baby bunnies and guinea pigs the place is a horrible , over priced place. Dont waste your time going there when everything cost less other places maybe ill try again in the future but until pet paradise is under new staff i wont waste my time with them anymore

I purchased a Quaker Parrot from this pet shop in January 2015. I was told by the woman, who I believe is the owner, that the bird had been apart of the Quaker parrot flock had separated into two and he had been left behind and was attacked by another parrot. He had a healed scab on his toe but was told that he was in good health and would make a great pet for me. I took him home and everything seemed fine until two weeks later. I came home and his toe was swollen and covered in blood and was continuing to bleed. I called the vet and they told me he may have caught his toe on something in the cage and to watch him and get the bleeding to stop. It stopped and I believed that he had caught his toe on something. A week later I came home and there was blood all around the cage. I rushed him to my vet, who is certified to work on parrots, and I told him the story about the other parrot attacking him. He then told me he may have an infection in the toe and gave me meds to clear it up. I had the bird on three different medications and the problem seemed to clear until the second week of March. I had noticed that he was pruning himself a little too much but thought he was staring to molt, lone behold I go to cook dinner and come back in the room and he had plucked out all of his feathers on his stomach and under his wings so bad he was covered in blood and he had also pecked his foot pretty bad. The vet then informed me that he had Quaker Mutilation Syndrome where he self mutilates to the point of death for an unknown reason. He also informed me that this syndrome is present at a very young ago and those who have dealt with birds can recognize the signs at birth. I went ino the store to inform the woman that she sold me a bird that she knew was sick and that I was out of lots of money for vet bill and she did not care and walked away, Sadly I now have to put the bird down after he has bit two of his toes off and have tried almost every different treatment I could possibly be recommended by professionals. I am highly disappointed in this store and that they are not interested in selling their customers healthy animals and that they would rather make a profit. If I had known that my bird was sick from the start I wouldnt have gotten him, especially since they sold me at the same price at all the healthy birds. Please be aware of this store and make sure you get a healthy animal before you end up being out of hundreds of dollars.

Pet Paradise is my number one choice for birds and bird toys. They have much cheaper prices than anywhere else, and there birds are so friendly! Human Interaction is usually what you want in a pet store and they got it! Hand-raised and semi- trained already before you even buy the parrot. They should call it Parrot Lovers Paradise. They do wing nail clipping for free! They will even do a free weight check if you ask them to. I bought a pearl cockatiel from them in January, and its no doubt the best choice I ever made. So, the bird department is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! However, the fish department is a watery grave. The tanks arent clean, they put lots of fish in a small tank together, and some of the fish are dead. The reptile department on the other hand is awesome for any reptile lover out there! Really nice and healthy looking reptiles at an affordable price. What more could anybody ask for? As far as I am concerned they take excellent care of all their reptiles. Sometimes when I go they have huge monitors sunning themselves in the doorway! As for rodents they dont have any, but they do have rabbits. Theyre rabbits are the cutest, fattest, most adorable rabbits out there. They even do rabbit nail clipping! btw all of theyre services are available to everyone it doesnt matter if youve ever bought something there or even set foot in the shop. ALL SERVICES ARE FREE. Overview- THE BEST PET STORE IN THE WORLD FOR PEOPLE WHO LOVE BIRDS AND REPTILES! Cons- doesnt have cats, dog, or a very good fish section. Pet Paradise is my fav place in the would. Just dont pet the Conures theyre mean.
