Just adopted our sweet 4 yr old hound named Reba today. They staff was completely helpful and you could tell totally devoted to the animals and seeing them go to good homes. Before we adopted her they told us they would stay later till after they closed if that was what it took to see our sweet pup go home with us that night. Everyone was so excited to see her being adopted as shed been there for a month already. A very generous donor paid $400 for her heartworm treatment that made it possible for us to adopt. Cant wait to do the same in the future to help other animals get the same medication they need to be healthy and happy and go to forever homes! All around a great experience and we love having such a sweet addition to my husband and my once lonely and boring home. Welcome home, Reba!

Most staff are friendly; but beware. My wife and I have been coming to the SPCA once every other week for several months waiting for the right dog to adopt. We have spoken to many staff and they seem excited to find out that both my wife and I have raised several puppies before we got married. Untill today, I was told by an employee that my 9 to 5 work week may not "allow me to care for a dog." This broke my heart since this woman may be evaluatingy family for the adoption; and it came out of left field. Does having a consistemt job make me an uncaring owner? Honestly it suprised me. It seems unreasonable to think despite our experience with animals our jobs make us unelligiable. We may not try the SPCA and stick with adopting from The Humaine Society instead.

Wow, what an amazing little SPCA annex. Great idea to put animal adoption in the suburbs. The shop is run by volunteers, and the animals are presented in a very positive environment. Everyone in this shop is smiling.
