I found the trail bike I wanted at another store but was unhappy with the price and service. The sales kid fit me wrong and the owner spent more time trash-talking the other shops and bike brands than he did telling me about the bike I was looking at. They used somewhat dishonest tactics to get the sale and werent willing to cut me a break on the big ticket or discount accessories or after-market parts. I’m careful about what kind of business I give my money to and that shop didnt seem like one I would like to support. I went home and started pricing out the bike out only to find that shop is charging $40 over MSRP. Then I found Henderson Center Bicycles just a few miles south. I was instantly pleased. They were charging $40 less than the other shop. The salesman fit me correctly for my bike and threw in a little discount on parts. He answered my concerns honestly and didn’t waste my time gossiping about other stores and bikes although he did acknowledge that he was offering far better service and a better price. He told me Henderson offers free lifetime adjustments and emphasized the importance of taking care of the bike so it will last. He seemed genuinely interested in me coming away from this experience with the right bike for me. I couldn’t be more pleased to give my hard-earned money to a business and I would recommend Henderson Center Bicycles to anyone looking for a bike.

We went looking for and purchased two Dahon Mariner D7 folding bikes from this bicycle shop, this is a specialty bike normally used in the marine environment, and hard to find. Spoke with two great guys, Nick and Will. They didnt try to sell me another brand since these were not in stock. Will placed the order and insured that the bikes were shipped the same day. Within a few days I received a call from Will that the bikes had arrived and they had them assembled, inspected and tested. They have a great inventory of accessories and other bikes at this store and are very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Friendly staff, decent selection of bikes. I bought a bike here, and the salesman seemed more interested in getting me the right bike than the most expensive bike. (Although he made it clear they were happy sell me a more expensive bike or upgrade various things on my bike.)

Henderson Center Bicycles is not only the best Hometown bike shop, but is simply the best bike shop. I have ridden for 45 years and complete 8 major bike tours and Henderson Center Bicycles is the best bike shop I have ever experienced. Hands down.
