I was shopping for a specific brand of elliptical machine and AC&F was one of only two local places that carried it. I went in and the initial employee we met was helpful and not too pushy -- we knew what we wanted but were price comparing, so we appreciated that. His colleague later came over and pushed a bit too hard for our liking, so we left to check out the other store. Long story short, it was OK but we ended up buying at the other place and got only 6 months of interest free financing (AC&F offered 12 months sale as cash with a Trekk credit card) but the other place offered free delivery and assembly, while AC&F was going to charge $119 (still a good price compared to Sears, for example)

beautiful store, very roomy and well laid out. Why do they have to treat newbies with such attitude. After buying a bike and several accessories came in to return a broken kickstand (yes, a kickstand) and was awkwardly and patronizingly accused of sitting on the bike with the stand down. Just dont take it back - dont treat me like a moron over a freaking kickstand that was still long enough after the tip broke off for them to resell. Losing a customer over an arrogant service tech. Not the first time Ive heard this about this store.

To reiterate other review (wish I saw it first), dont expect a deal. I also missed a sale by a weekend, and could not get any deal, or even a water bottle (that they are giving away free if you bring in a coupon). I ordered there anyway since I didnt want to wait longer to get on the trails, and got my bike a week later. Their service area seems clean and organized, and the store in general seems well staffed and helpful. Bike included 2years free adjustments which is better than other stores 1 year included on new bikes.

Fantastic store and staff. I love Trek bikes and the staff here goes above and beyond when I need help or service. Their mechanics are great and I completely trust them. Took the time to measure and order a bike for me, rather than selling me one on the floor that may have been just OK. After delivery, I was precisely fitted and love my new Trek road bike. Great selection of parts, clothing and accessories. Store manager even let me try on his own cycling glasses to test. Very highly recommended.

A lot of bikes to choose, big and roomy store. Pre-sale bike safety check was a joke and they gave us bike with rear reflector and seat crooked... Most employees are friendly and knowledgeable. We went there just few times, but during our last two visits, we meet very annoying, nosy and "know it all" older lady /employee/ She spoiled our shopping experience big time! As with most bike stores, this one carry mostly Trek and Garry Fisher bicycles... If you like these brands - give them a try!

I ordered my bike late last Fall, a Trek DS 8.6, and received it a week later. Its features and extended warranty were completely explained to me. Been back a few times since to spend gift cards and again, each time the guys who work there have been helpful, knowledgeable, and fun to talk with. Never felt pressured to buy anything either, they offered suggestions and showed me where things were and left me alone when I just wanted to browse. Completely satisfied all around.

I have rented a mountain bike from this location twice now. I ended up taking it over to Maybury park for practice and even used it for an adventure race/triathlon in Silverlake, MI. I was new to the game and everyone there is so friendly and knowledgeable. The bike was clean, comfortable, hi tech, and some. The entire experience with American Cycle and Fitness exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be going back.

Ignore all the less than 5 star reviews. Those folks that reviewed poorly are the ones that want all the best service, and the top products and dont want to pay for it. If you come in expecting a deal, you will leave unsatisfied. Matt and everyone I have come in contact with have been nothing short of outstanding. Thanks for all the great service.

Ive been to a few stores in the area and had a pretty bad experience. I was tired of getting my bike "fixed" and the bike riding no better than it did when I dropped it off. The service guys and American Cycle and Fitness totally hooked me up and finally solved my shifting problems. Thanks so much! Jonathan

Bicycle mechanic was really good. Quality work, but is $28 for 15 minutes of labor normal? I normally do my own maintenance, but didnt have the tool I needed. Could have bought the tool for less and been able to do another repair later if I ran into the same issue.

We get our bikes repaired there, they do a good, professional job. Recently we were looking at an elliptical machine. The guy showing it to us wouldnt shut up, but he was very nice and supportive about letting us try all the models and no hurry or pressure.

Very rude experience from that place. Went in to buy a trek bike and wanted to price match with another place. I was treated in a very rude way, if you dont want to price match then dont offer. I went and spent my money at a different shop.
