I first took my Honda to University Honda a little more than a year ago. My experience was fantastic! The service advisor was personable, called me by name, and seemed to genuinely care about my experience. The work I was having done was covered under warranty. One of the issues I was having with my car was not covered under the warranty. I decided not to have the item replaced as it would cost too much. They did the warranty work. When I picked up my car the advisor looked at the invoice and it said the part had been replaced, the one I chose not to replace due to cost. He told me that since I had not asked them to replace it and they had that it there would be no charge. I was ecstatic! But when I pulled out of the lot I noticed the part had not been touched. The next time I took it in was for an oil change. I always get synthetic oil. I confirmed in three different phone calls that they would use synthetic. After the oil change they brought me the invoice and it was for regular oil. They had to flush the system and refill it which ate up quite a bit of my time and added frustration. My warranty is about to expire so I took it in today for a check-up and to have the oil changed. They werent nearly as personable this time. It felt like I was inconveniencing them by taking my car in. I confirmed three times and with two different people, including the service manager, that I should be receiving synthetic oil. After my wife brought the car and the invoice home, sure enough, they used regular oil again! Not only did they use regular oil, but the charge is twice as much as the Honda dealership I used to take mine to. Now I have to return to Corvallis sometime and get the correct oil put in. What a pain! I give them two stars because Ive seen worse garages and had worse customer service. After this time I will not be returning to University Honda.

Bought a used car here a few weeks ago. Just after I bought it both rear calipers seized. I was told by the salesman "Every used car we get is inspected by our mechanics. If anything is broken we fix it." I feel like any mechanic would have seen the rusted calipers on a standard inspection. Its not difficult. They are right there on the outside. When I called to complain they basically said its my problem now, car was "as is". Even if I had purchased the warranty offered (a hefty $2200 for a $8500 car) it would have only covered issues under the hood, not body wear and tear. I purchased my car from them because I felt, as a dealership, they would have good customer service and I could trust them. Thats the whole point of buying from a dealership instead of a used car lot or private seller. Instead I got a broken car. They are more like a used car dealership that just happens to sell new hondas as well. On a different note, Jason from the financial department was impressive. He was always available to discuss details. He returned calls or messages promptly. So for that I give University Honda 2 stars instead of 1. Consider them for a new honda maybe? For a used car go somewhere else.

Customer service was fantastic! I put one start because they never really fixed my car. I noticed my car ( 2007 Honda Hybrid) was doing something funny and the engine light was on. I take it to them. They said they fix it. Nope! Take it to them again and it turns out one of my ignition coils is burnt out.WHY wasnt this found the first time? So I have them install the new one. Not even a week later and the car dies on my way to work. I honestly feel like I was being taken advantage of because I brought my car twice for the same problem. Then when I finally get my car, it breaks down. I dont have the money to be constantly bringing it back to them. Also when I got my car back and it had grease on the steering wheel, on the seat, and on the inside door handle. Ive had this car for less then two months, and they managed to make my inside door handle grey and black. I thought this would be a good place to take my car because its the DEALERSHIP. They proved me wrong.

The dealers here will put anything past you to make a dollar. They sold us a used Honda Odyssey with several problems that of course the "warranty" would not cover. They also forgot to disclose the car was Canadian, which has several draw backs for the consumer in the United States. They also sold down our throats a extended used car warranty, which soon after we bought it the company went out of business, and University Honda had no allegience to me as their customer, did nothing for us. The car dealer was tricky, decieving and knew all the car salesman tricks every consumer has nightmares about. I will not only not be going back to University Honda but wont be buying Honda at all. They are not the same reliable company they used to be. Just check the online forums with hundreds of disapointed consumers who are paying a pretty penny to keep their Honda Odysseys running.

We just bought a 2013 Odyssey from University Honda in Corvallis and couldnt be more pleased. Sales manager Kirk helped us. Kirk is an honest, patient, non-pushy, and knowledgeable guy with a great sense of humor. There was never any pressure to make a decision on the spot. We did our shopping around and, during the whole process, Kirk was always available by phone, text, and email to answer all of our questions. If he was busy when we called, he always got right back to us. We enjoyed working with him and it is because of him that we decided to buy from University Honda. I should mention that everyone at the dealership was very helpful and friendly - you get greeted by everyone with a smile - so kudos to the whole team! Awesome car, great deal, excellent experience, stellar customer service. I highly recommend Kirk and this dealership.

Bought my 2014 Honda Civic through University Honda, loved the service so I had them do new tires on my truck. When Emily called me to tell me the truck was done, I was a mess. I was at the vet and found out that the 5 week old puppy I was raising needed emergency surgery. Emily heard the distress in my voice and asked what was wrong. I gave her some of the details and she told me to take my time, and that I could pick up the truck tomorrow if I needed. When I finally did pick up my truck, my truck was washed, waxed, and a new dog toy was on my steering wheel. It was such an amazing feeling and it demonstrated such compassion where I did not expect it. I will be a life long University Honda customer. I have never seen a company employee act so human. Thank you, Emily.

The service department at University Honda provides a truly exemplary level of customer care. The staff are always friendly and always treat me with respect; they are willing to patiently answer any questions I may have. They go out of their way to help me resolve my car difficulties--far beyond what their jobs require (Im thinking particularly of their assistance when my car battery died last week--they helped me get to the dealership and checked the battery for me all at no charge). I have never once gotten the sense--as I have from other mechanics and dealerships in the past--that I am being taken advantage of or being told that my car needs work it does not need. They embody a rare level of integrity that is crucial to have in this kind of business.
