HORRIBLE! Do not go here to get your hair done unless you wanna be practically bald afterwards. I went it to get a balayage done. The girl doing my hair (Kristen) left the bleach in my hair for 5 hours!! Now I thought these people knew what they were doing and thought maybe she was using something different or the rules for their lightener was different and didnt say anything. I mean they are the ones listened to do hair right? Well big mistake. I left that night my hair a big tangled frizzy mess because every time she would take the brush through my hair a big wad of my hair would come out. So after a few days of staying away from heat I straightened my hair and finally got a real view of the damage. My hair went from 5 inches below my boobs to just below my shoulders. And it is so thin now!! I have the thickest of hair so this is pretty depressing that I hardly have any now and that 2 years of growing it out just down the drain! She chemically burned my hair off!! They didnt even apologize. I went in to get my money back and they tried to say the bleach stops working after a certain amount of time. I am not stupid. It may stop lightening but theres a time limit for a reason. I have bleached my hair a dozen times myself and have never experienced this much hair loss and damage. The fact they wouldnt even admit they made a HUGE mistake shows how dumb they are. I mean hair takes a long time to grow back. Now I have to spend money and get extensions to make up for the paper thin amount of hair left on my head. DO NOT GO HERE!!! I would give zero stars except it doesnt seem to allow that

I cut and pasted another comment from someone else, because this is how I felt. "AND they refuse to admit any of their mistakes and refuse to act responsible for your hair" I had a good cut the first time, but the 2nd time I felt like I was a "test" to see if the stylist could do a haircut shed learned. In fact, she grabbed a photo, and it felt like she was trying to justify what shed done to my hair. I didnt ask for super short, but thats what I got. And, I could have worked with the stylist, but a swarm of employees surrounded me with comments, "Its a good cut." "It looks great" - It was between me and the stylist - not the entourage of management, and other stylists - telling me that my cut was good - even though I was not happy with it. Even following me out to the check out to tell me how good it looked. I felt like I was a model for a hair style that they had learned how to cut. Not what I wanted.

Sam is AMAZING! Two weeks before my wedding I tried to do my roots and touch up to my color at home. Im an idiot. Instead of the natural brown Id chosen (and currently had) I ended up with brown roots and blue-black hair. I was devastated! I called Ulta and spoke with Sam who was kind enough to let me come in for a consultation the same day. We agreed to meet back on Monday (her day off no less) to take care of my hair. On Monday, I walked out with an amazing color which was no longer black and under $100 spent. If I could Id shout from rooftops, Id hold parades and Id tell everyone in the world to go see Sam! Shes amazing, funny, friendly and really listens to what you want. I love love love my hair. And, most importantly, my fiancee noticed and LOVED it too. For a guy to say that is really the sign of great hair. I LOVE Sam!

Took my daughter and a friend there to get feathers put in their hair. They were told $15 & $8 for the different kinds of feathers but then we were charged $29 for each girl regardless, even though one only got ONE $8 feather put in. Also, she asked to have the new feather put in with the two she already had. The lady doing it said no problem and didnt mention a price increase, and then charged an extra $8 for redoing the old feathers. Even talking to the managers made no difference. I ended up paying $74 for 3 feathers!!! The salon we use now charges only EXACTLY what they tell me, and the feathers cost $5 - $12 each, that includes putting them in, and they dont charge for moving or fixing old feathers! I will NEVER go to Ulta for anything ever again after they ripped me off like that!!

I walked in for a haircut and partial highlight. I was put in their books for 20 minutes later and went shopping. Upon return, I was treated like a king. I asked for a haircut without a picture, but needed a touch-up of what my last stylist did. I asked for a partial highlight, to brighten up my dark blond hair. The stylist listened to me and did an awesome job! I am very happy with the professional treatment I received and the results are great. Also, I paid a reasonable price! I made an appointment for 6 weeks later, as I definitely want to return. I bought a mens fragrance gift pack, with help from a friendly store professional. I think Im hooked!!

Rude people. The store puts things out in multiples that you cant even buy. Why put something out that you cant buy? Their excuse was that they were returned and now they are samples...even though theres a sample right on the counter thats open and obviously used. Why stack more on the side of the counter with more product that is for sale? Went to two different stores and the ladies didnt even know what I was referencing in their ad. Dont waste you time or gas going there. Wont ever be shopping at an ulta again.

I cant speak for their salon services, but their selection of beauty and hair products is good and they have several vegan/cruelty-free brands represented in their store. Ulta is always having good sales and coupons if you join their rewards club. I love when they have liters of shampoo/conditioners on super sale, which is frequently. I did find it difficult to find this store by car my first time there - its in a big stripmall shopping center.
