I am extremely upset with Petsmart. I bring my dog, who was healthy, to the Petsmart for a grooming and a week later she has a severe case of Kennel Cough. I know that she caught this during the grooming session as she is an "inside dog" and does not come into contact with other dogs outside of her grooming. After visiting the Vet and spending $230 on the visit and treatment, I proceeded to the Princeton Pike Petsmart and observed the lack of any process or procedure to keep dogs separate or to follow simple processes for cleaning grooming stations as dogs transition. I realize that Kennel cough or tracheobronchitis is a highly contagious and that both viral and bacterial causes of kennel cough can be spread through the air by infected dogs sneezing and coughing. But it can also spread through contact with contaminated surfaces and through direct contact. The groomers at Princeton Pike do not follow simple hygiene rules. They do not wear sterile gloves or even wash their hands when handling different dogs. Grooming stations are not beings cleaned with an anti-bacterial wash between dog changes. While I realize that Petsmart can not eliminate Kennel Cough, simple steps can be taken to minimize the spread in your own facilities. Lack of this type of process tells your customers that you are not professional in your service delivery. So now, my mature dog is sick and on antibiotics; I am out $230 spent so far, with an additional Vet visit coming up in 5 days, and Petsmart is in jeopardy of losing a loyal client and possibly many more.

The store in general is clean, stocked well, and laid out nice. Most of the employees are friendly. I tried the grooming place once and that will be the only time. The lady helping me just walked away to go on lunch.. .. Right in the middle of typing my information. I kind of just stood there confused until another groomer looked up and ask me where her coworker had gone. I should have known right there to not leave my dog. I did and I really regret it. My dog is a setter so his cut should leave long flowing fur on his ears, chest, tail, under belly, and hind legs with the rest of the body clean trim. His ears were cut extremely short like a Labrador. The feet were left all jagged. They cut all his feather super short so he didnt even look like a setter. They actually only cut the places a setter doesnt need cut and didnt touch the areas that need to be trimmed. It will take a long time to fix the horrible job they did. I guess PetSmart groomers do not have professional knowledge to actually groom a dog to its breed standards. I hate to judge as a whole but that one experience was so horrific it is hard to believe otherwise.

Ay Nako!

Been going to this location for a couple of years as it is quite convenient to our house. I usually order items online and then pick them up at the store. The associates are nice for the most part. There are a few that are on the robotic side, but generally they have good customer service. I would give a five, but the aforementioned online ordering process is sometimes not as smooth as it should be. This may be more a corporate office thing than this location. That said, a few times my order wasnt processed in a timely manner because associates at this location were not doing their job. All in all, though, I think this is a good location overall.

Had a great experience and will definitely be back thanks to Jim! My wife and I visited to get an idea of what they offered for our new puppy. Jim came up and asked if we were getting a dog and then showed us "The Puppy Guide", a coupon book full of savings at PetSmart and Banfield Clinic. He took the time to explain the different food qualities and gave us many different tips for training from his personal experience. He wasnt pushy and didnt just try to get us to buy the most expensive brands, but shared his honest opinion as a fellow dog owner. Very good customer service.

I was very worried about my Daisys first grooming experience. She has terrible separation anxiety and I was worried that the staff wouldnt know how to handle her poor arthritic joints. The entire staff was so knowledgeable about her personality and how to pick her up and make her feel comfortable. They did a great job, she looked and smelled wonderful and they even rushed so as to minimize her time away from me. I only got Mindys name, but they were ALL wonderful, even the gentleman at the register. I highly recommend this fantastic facility!

I have been bringing my Puggle to this location for about 3 years. I havent had any bad experiences. The last visit, I forgot my $10 off grooming coupon and the manager agreed to adjust everything if I brought it in, (with reciept) within a few days. I appreciated that! I havent had any issues with grooming-- my dog doesnt get hair cut, but they do trim areas, clean teeth/ears, and grind his nails. No complaints so far!

The reptiles are sometimes in bad health. I have had to talk to management about this once already, as the tanks are poorly lightened, too humid for some, and SO MANY COLD DESERT HERPS!!! They really need someone else in charge of reptiles.

Okay but the checkout people seem kind of lazy and not to helpful no knowledge of pets or pet food brands... lackadaisical also some of the employees have very negative attitudes

This is a well stocked store and the customer service is really good. They are friendly and helpful. It feels more like a family owned neighborhood store at times.
