Okay, so this is probably going to be long lol.. per valu used to be jacks aquarium. Why they switched? Who knows. Money probably. Any who. Jacks aquarium wasnt all that, but after driving 30 minutes one way to visit pet valu in hopes of getting a gorgeous betta (Ive been shopping around) I will never even call them for anything much less shop there. Prices are ridiculous, tanks are in meh conditions, fish selection is weak at best, what decor they do have is way way over priced. I had called ahead of time and talked to a lady about their betta selection. She was horrible at selling to say the least. I get there. All the cups were low on water making it hard to get a full look at the betta, I mean literally their bellies were touching the bottom and the top of the water was just above their top fins. She knew very very little about fish despite her enthusiasm. In general I give them a 0/10. It was that bad. I wont even think of them again for anything

Always have very good experience in this particular Jacks. I stop in at least once a week and the staff is always helpful. Prices in this store seem to be a bit lower than the Colrain and Florence locations. Better fish selection in the cichlid department and especially in South AmericanCentral american cichlids. As for the other two reviews, Ive been to Pet Center and i do lik their store as well but they are high price on alot of things.

Highly recommend the wash your own dog station if you have a big hairy dog who wont let you use the hose because its too cold.
