Ive never written a review for anything other than restaurants, but felt compelled to do so after buying a Nissan Sentra from Airport Nissan. My daughter just started a new job at the Ohio State Med Center and was walking to the hospital from her student housing. Some parts of the walk can be a bit sketchy and the Mrs. became very concerned about her safety. Buying a car was an easy decision, but which one became the challenge. Typically, we buy Hondas. But my experience at Sunnyside Honda has been poor to say the least, so we gave Airport Nissan a try. Matt Paradis greeted me when we walked in the door and patiently listened to what we needed. The exact model and color were at an off-site storage lot, so while we were waiting, he let us test drive a car off the showroom floor. By the time we got back from our drive, the two colors we were interested were in the lot and we sat down to make the deal. He did the usual Fargo check with his sales manager and came back with a price that seemed a bit higher than my Internet research indicated. We came to a middle ground and shook on the deal. While waiting for the finance guy to write up the paperwork, Mr. Bernie Moreno, the owner of the dealership and Collection Auto Group, came by to say hello (mind you, this was a Saturday morning). Bernie seems like a great guy and you can see why his people want to work for him. The most dreaded part of the sales process for me is the finance guy...trying to push you into extended warranties, road service and rust proofing. However, Butch did a great job. He knew I wanted to get on my way, but I got intrigued with his story...former police officer, left the force so his young son would always have a daddy to come home to, worked for a competitor for a couple of years, where the owner treats his employees like they are used car buyers, and found a guy in Mr. Moreno he could trust. More importantly, he didnt try to push any other deal on me. The price I was told by Matt Paradise was the price on the contract. Within 15 minutes I was out of his office and my daughter was driving home in her new car. Not sure Ive ever seen her happier! I would highly recommend Airport Nissan to anyone needing a new car.

I recently visited Airport Nissan interested in a used Jeep Wrangler Unlimited that I viewed online. I work Monday through Friday from 10-6:30 so on a Wednesday, I called and made sure the Jeep was still available and made an appointment to come check it out. The following day I pulled up and I immediately seen the Jeep on the lot. No problem. Went in and spoke with the receptionist and told her I called the day before and was interested in the Jeep. She hopped on the intercom and says "Available sales, guest in showroom". This is like dropping a bloody tuna into a shark tank. However, I was assisted by Aaron. We walked over to his desk and said he would go get the keys to the Jeep. I was offered a soda or water by another sales person at this time. When Aaron returned, there were no keys, instead there was a credit application form. Now, my credit score is not horrible but its definitely not the greatest. Before anyone EVER pulls a hard inquiry, I want to be absolutely sure that I want to complete the transaction because if I didnt like the vehicle for any reason and turned down the deal, I would be stuck with a derogatory mark on my credit. Aaron took my information to the finance department, they came back approved with $3500 down on a $30,000 vehicle. Not bad but I still have not even seen the vehicle in depth. When I told Aaron that I wanted to come down on the down payment, he started the " sweep under the rug" routine and said since its late on a Thursday, and he was off on Friday, and airport Nissan is too busy on Saturday, hell get back to me that following Monday. Here we are 5 weeks later and not another from anyone at airport Nissan, a hard inquiry on my credit, and not even a sniff of the interior of the vehicle that I was interested in. Overall not a bad dealership but this was a very impersonal, unprofessional experience.

Talked to JP over the internet and online. He said he could beat a competing dealers price over the phone, provide 0% interest, and give me the price I was looking for on my vehicle I was trading. I asked him multiple times if he was able to do these 3 points I was willing to come in and purchase the vehicle right now. I made sure he saw the internet prices the other dealers had. He said he would need to check with his sales manager and would call me back. He called me back and said they would be able to do it. I told him OK, Ill be there shortly. I left work and told my wife to meet me up there. Once I got there I had a feeling nothing was going to happen since the car wasnt ready, the paperwork wasnt waiting, and JP didnt come to greet me. Chris was who JP designated to help, and was trying to find the car we talked about. After 30 minutes of waiting the car finally was outside, but it seemed like they wanted to negotiate again. I already knew this meant what we discussed over the phone, wasnt what they were willing to do in reality. I asked them a simple question of could they do the deal we discussed over the phone. Chris said it was complicated, and wouldnt answer if they could do the deal on my 3 original points I agreed upon. At the end of 45 minutes with already agreed upon terms, they quoted me higher on the car than we agreed on. I wasted time leaving work to do this thinking they were professionals who would love to have a quick sale. JPs word is garbage, dont trust it. I wouldnt trust the sales manager either since he said he checked with him before calling me back. I cant be sure if he did check with the sales manager, but that guy never came and talked to me either. All in all, I would think you would be better off going somewhere else.

AVOID this dealership! Nissan Airport is not the kind of dealership you want to do business with. They will do whatever it takes to get you in the door, but not whatever it takes to get you into a car. I was deceived by the internet sales associate consistently, by telling me they could help me, however upon arrival I was told something completely different from what the internet sales associate had told me. Its not about me having an inadequate credit rating or not being able to afford the vehicle, or payments. That was not the case. My issue is, when a dealership allows their employees to use whatever means or tactics to draw in business, especially when the employee knows those means or tactics are deceitful. I approached the Sales Manager (Hose) asking him what would he do to correct the problem, and all he could offer was an apology. Not good enough for me. I called Nissan Corporation to see if they could assist in the matter, they too could only offer an apology. Not good enough. I believe when a company or company employee does something legitimately wrong such as constantly be deceitful, then it is up to the company heads to do everything in their power to right the wrong and to make sure that the issue or complaint is rectified, and that the customer is satisfied. Akira told me twice, on two different occasions, that Nissan Airport could put me in a vehicle, given my situation. Juan, one of the managers at Nissan Airport, confirmed that they could put me in a vehicle, given my situation. What they told me was false and inaccurate information. Nissan and Nissan Airport dealership will longer receive my business, and I will not recommend this dealership to anyone I know who is looking for a car.
