I purchased a car from the dealership on Friday. Within 3 hours of driving off the lot, the engine light came on. Since the service department was closed, I took the car to a local auto part store to be tested and learned that oxygen sensor was going bad. Saturday when I got up to take the car back to the lot, the engine light had went off, but the car started to jerk/stutter whenever I accelerated. Interested to see if any other problems would arise, I decided to wait until today (Monday) to take the car in. When I started the car, it seemed as if it didnt want to start but proceed to start anyway. When I got the car to the dealership, the service rep got in to take it to the back, but it wouldnt start. They decided to keep it and tried to put me in a rental car from Enterpise... Before the service rep called Enterprise, I told him that due to a payment issue between my old insurance company and Enterprise, I was unable to rent from them until the dispute was settled... He proceeded to waste my time and called them to pick me up anyway, only to find out that what I told him was true. I asked for one of their loaner vehicles but he told me there wasnt one available and that I would be without a vehicle for the next two days. He also stated that the vehicle had to be sent to another dealership. My sales rep came out and acted as if he was concern. He told me that he was going to look into getting me into something while my car was being repaired. After not seeing or hearing from him for 2 hours, I decided to get up and see what the hold up was. He told me that he would have a vehicle for me the following morning. Skeptical about his statement, I decided to go back to the service department and asked if what he said was true. Of course, the sales rep lied. Annoyed at this point, I asked to speak to a manager. The manager who came out didnt address me at all. He was very nonchalant and didnt seem to want to help. I asked to speak to the GM and to their conviecnce, he wasnt there. So I left the dealership without my vehicle or a rental car... MOST of salesman are very unprofessional. They really lack the ability to provide good customer service. You would think that the staff would have been a little more compassionate especially after I returned back to the dealership not even 72 hours later (which couldve easily been 24 hours), but no... they didnt care. Service seemed to be concentrated on closing, and sales seemed to be concentrated on other customers.

I was truly impressed. I called earlier in the day just to test the waters to see about getting an appointment. Trevor called me back and left a voicemail for me telling me to just come when I get out of work and that they would take care of me. Well, TAKE CARE OF ME, they did. When I arrived, Trevor was with another customer, but instead of making me wait, he had John Gorny get the process jump-started. This guy was a hoot and a holler with the best Polish accent! He was very informative, welcoming, and truly fought the good fight for me to be approved. I was grateful for his knowledge about the vehicles amenities and how things operated. Our test drive was hilarious, comfortable and most importantly, informative. I was seriously sold upon my return to the dealership! Kudos John! Trevor came back into the picture and smoothly assisted with the paperwork, not to mention fighting for me on a lower payment than anticipated, and being truly knowledgeable and helpful. I liked his presentation of information and his calm collected intelligent approach. I didnt feel sheisted or scammed by either of these men. I felt like they were really trying to help me, and that is HUGE! They were relatable human beings who just happened to also be car salesmans! Woot! Hooray! I am very pleased with the entire experience, including the free popcorn from the awesome old school popcorn machine, coffee and SPLENDA. Not enough places have Splenda. A small and weird thing, but hey it mattered! Not that I needed anymore coffee or adrenaline rushing through my body, but seriously... this experience was a true success. Thanks to all at Kia, even the GM, who came over to shake my hand and say hello upon my arrival. Everyone had a genuine approach and feel to their way of speaking and dealing with me - not kissing your butt, but being sweet, polite and telling you like it is, which lets be honest, is what we all really want. COME BUY A CAR HERE!

So. Weve been shopping around for cars and for the past several dealerships weve asked for a bill of sale (lists car specs and what we are getting the car for) for our credit union to approve. Pretty standard stuff, have not had an issue at any other dealership getting this bill of sale, usually they pull out a pre-printed form and fill in the boxes after appraising our car. We test drove the car we were interested in with Trey, who was wonderful and helpful and has the makings of a great salesman. Could not be more happy with the service he provided us. However, since he is newer we also were also working with his mentor (manager? Cant find a list of their salespeople anywhere online). This gentleman, and full disclosure here, was NOT the type of salesman I enjoy working with. Forceful, abrupt, and unwilling to work with our situation even though he claimed he was. We encountered the most problems when asking for the bill of sale to present to our credit union (a similar process to us getting our house approved) again NEVER had a problem with ANY other dealership (Honda, Mazda, used car lots, etc.) However, this (we were told) went against everything KOB did apparently, unless we put a payment down saying we committed to buying that car. So, ok, we finally convince him we need a bill of sale to present to the credit union, period. So we get the "I never do this, Ill go talk to my manager" line and they disappear for a few minutes. Heres the best part, when they return he puts a piece of paper on the desk pulled straight from the paper tray of a printer upon which was SEVERAL tacky drawings (which included a "horse" and a car) with a handwritten number (which he had clearly told us was not a number they would be able to get us) on it. In case youre skimming THIS IS THE PAPER WE WERE GIVING OUR BANK TO APPROVE A LOAN TO GET THE CAR. I walked out and will never walk back into that dealership.

I would have hoped for better service!! I dont know why I let myself get sucked into being treated so badly! The person I originally was in contact with was very friendly. I thought she was going to be my salesperson but evidently is a call person. She said the car would be detailed and ready for a test drive when we got their first thing Saturday morning--NOT. I was driving 1-1/2 hours from PA and of course the car was selling at a decent price. As I am a single mother I was just attempting to find a decent car for my son to get back and forth to college for at least the next 4-5 years. So yes it presented as a good deal but I still had questions and concerns. Of course the salesman was friendly, until the deal for a used car became too involved, and then we were just completely an annoyance to him!! If I hadnt drove so far, I would have walked out at that point. I should have known right there and then especially as I had to finance part of the cost when they decided to treat me inferiorly by proposing an outrageous payment ! And at that point I told him I was going to walk out, but then he came back with a readjusted payment plan and I thought I could trust them even if the service at this point was far from optimal. I was told and even shown on the contract what my financed cost would be...low and behold...another added $200 shows up on my loan at the bank!! After attempting to speak with someone 3 times and all 3 times being transferred to a full voicemail...Go figure! So unless you are planning on buying a new car, or you just dont care what service you receive and what your payments plus costs will be DONT GO HERE!! Hopefully the car will outshine the treatment we received.
