We purchased a car from this dealership on 9/1. It was a used 2011 Equinox. We were told that the vehicle had three items that we were specifically looking for. 1-AWD(which it does have) 2-Siruis radio(which we were supposed to have 90 days free) it got turned off after three days. 3-hands free calling(which it DID NOT HAVE). We were also told that they were going to get rid of some scratches on the car and that he car would have a full tank of gas when they dropped it off. 9/3-the car was dropped off. Half tank of gas. None of the scratches were touched and only one key to the car. I asked the salesmen about these items and was told that there policy on used vehicle was only to put $25 of gas in used cars and that he would try to contact the previous owner and see about getting the other key and would call me back. Two week went by-NEVER GOT A CALL BACK. 9/7- called and spoke with Director of Finance. He said he would take care of the Sirius and also get us another key for the car. 9/14-OUT OF TOWN- called about the Sirius. Was told that it was turned back on, but that they didn’t know why it was turned off. 9/17-got home-no Sirius. And NO HANDS FREE CALLING 9/21-check engine light came on.- catalytic converter went. 9/24 they picked up the car to service. Was told the car would be ready the next day. went through the weekend with no call. I called on 9/29 to find out what the status was. (wouldn’t you think knowing the issued we had already had someone would have been checking on this???? and told us they would FILL the tank with gas and again try to fix scratches. 10/1-got the car back-NO Gas in the tank(AGAIN), nothing done to any of the scratches or dents. No hands free calling and no phone call from the manager I had been dealing about installing the hands free calling. 10/1-called and left message for Bernie Moreno’s assistant. Was told someone would call me back. Apparently the VP did try to call me once, left no voice mail and never called again. Two weeks later around 10/12 or so I called again. Spoke with Bernie’s assistant again. A few minutes later got a phone from the VP. Gave the rundown of the above events. He agreed to come and get the car and install hands free calling. A few weeks later we started noticing that the car was not running properly. There was something in the front end that was rubbing. We finally got around to take the car to our mechanic. Have a vehicle inspection sheet in our hands from BUICK GMC OF BEACHWOOD that states that they performed a vehicle inspection and that the front brakes were done. According to our mechanic his was not done(or at the very least not done properly). We had to shell out over $500 for front brakes (which were supposed to have been done) a brand new battery(if an inspection had been done they would have seen that the battery was going bad), new cabin filter, now oil filter that had never been changed. Called this morning 12/30 at 10:12 am was told I would receive a call right back. It is now 2:00pm. AGAIN have not heard from them. My advice-do not buy a car from this dealership as they are best at selling lies and have no customer service skills whatsoever! The dealership will know who I am and will hopefully contact me. I have names of all the people I spoke with and at this point am an extremely disappointed customer who can be very vocal.

Beware!!! Please think twice before buying from Collection Buick/GMC of Beachwood. My elderly Father bought a new Buick from Collection Buick/GMC of Beachwood and he was taken advantage of-- a victim of a paperwork scam. Here is what happened— warning it’s long but important for you to know! My elderly Father went to this dealer to buy a new Buick Lacrosse. Eventually a salesman found a car he liked and they began the paperwork. Luckily he was eligible for several rebates and soon they were signing multiple papers and he paid for the car in full with two checks (not enough in a single account to cover it, but more than enough with both.) He was then told that they were done, he could take his new car home and they would be sending copies of all the paperwork and title and such. My Father was sent home with only two papers from the dealer, #1 a receipt stating that two checks were received by the dealership (but not what they went for, or what he bought) and #2 an odometer disclosure statement for the new car. Fast forward a week. My Father is called and told that he owes $3500 and can not get the title or license plates and that ownership of the car “may” not be completely settled. Fast forward another week. My Father and a lawyer friend go to the dealer to straighten things out. What they find is that the motor vehicle purchase contract (Buick calls it a Buyer’s Order) is different. One of the rebates or discounts (which is a debit on the purchase price- and lowers the final price) has now become a “Less Initial Payment Cash Down” and that they have never received this initial cash down payment. Think about the logic of this. In buying a car outright, why would anyone need to put money down? Money down is for leases and loans. There was no lease or loan involved here. Why would anyone put money down for a car they were going to buy outright a few minutes later? The answer to this mystery is that it’s a scam. The deal/paperwork was altered after he’d already signed. Sadly, my Father trusted the dealer and believed them about leaving the paperwork behind. He fell for it and the lawyer confirmed that he had no legal standing because his signature was on the contract saying he had agreed to it. This dealer got $3500 richer using underhanded and unethical practices. Are my family, friends and neighbors angry? You bet! But we have no legal recourse. All we can do is try to warn others about this unethical Buick/GMC dealer.
