A horrible place to print!!!! Have been Waiting for more than 40 minutes without anybody help me and have no idea why all the 3 to 4 self-print machines dont recognize my USB, and cannot print through email neither! Asked the guy in printer center to help, he did not, then he got a lady to come. The lady tried my USB on her computer and told me my USB does not work even though she saw the folder and files I need to print, but she could not print them. Then she took me to another computer and wanted me to figure out by myself. After I asked her to show me how to use their computer to access my email to get the file, after I got my file, she still did not know how to print them. Then she doubt my picture files are illegal to print. She wanted me to come back next morning to print it. She left. Anyway, after I sat there to try for more than half hour, actually that computer can print the file from my USB! So my picture file is legal to print and my USB is not broken as she said. I printed 24 pages of letter size, with 10 pages that were not the right paper or size I wanted, then it charges me more than $34.00 dollar even though the price is $0.99 cent per page!!! I have no idea they charge 37 cents per minute for using computer and nobody told me that neither!!! The worse thing is the manager, a short and thin ma, is horrible!!! He was not willing to return the charge of extra $11.00 of the computer time, which I should not use it if their self-print machine works, or if their people can help to use my USB to print! The manager has horrible and mean attitude! I said I will never come back there, he said "good, then we win...."!!! It sucks!!!!! Wasted lots of my previous time to print some color prints with very unhappy time to deal with their machine and their very unfriendly people! Never experienced such a bad time in such a horrible place with such bad attitude manager in USA!

I went to Staples today to buy some ink, sheet protectors, and to ship a package with their UPS shipping service. I could not find the specific type of sheet protector in the store, and so I asked someone for help. He said that they may carry it online but no longer carry it in the store. I understood that, since the product I was looking for is not one that most people would usually buy anyways. Then I went to the ink section and they did not have a very great selection for the Brother ink. I found the one I was looking for and went to go check out. The cashier was very rude towards me and did not seem happy at all. Then, when I left, I forgot my ink on the counter and she said "do you want this?" in a condescending tone. I did not appreciate her behavior towards me. Went up to the UPS shipping counter and waited forever before I went to go find someone who could help me. The people at the copy and ship counter saw me waiting there but nobody came over to help. When I finally did get help, the person was not very helpful and did not really seem to care about my package. Went home to check and see if I could purchase my sheet protector product online, and it said that they had 8 in stock at that Staples store and that I could place the order online and go pick it up. I am frustrated because I have bought this exact same product from this store a few weeks ago, and even when I went to go pick it up after placing my order online, had to wait at least 15 minutes before I was helped. I will no longer be returning to buy things in person from Staples, no matter how many coupons they send me.

My experience with Staples has been positive, but please read on. In shopping for a printer, I went to a big box store and bought a Kodak printer that within a year gave me so many problems that I discarded it at the recycling center. I went to Staples, and on advice of salesperson, bought my HP Officejet 6500A Plus, which has given me no problems whatsoever. The Staples salesperson knew about the Kodak printers problems; Staples wasnt even selling it at the time. Then, when I was ready for a new computer, a Staples representative talked me into a Lenovo PC, Sophos anti-virus protection, and a 2-year warranty. Total cost (about $700) was less than what I had spent on my 2007 Dell laptop alone. Since my 2013 purchase, I have had some minor issues with the computer. Most of these resulted from my getting tricked by nefarious malware and hackers. The Staples staff has fixed the problem twice, once at no charge. Last time (today) was at $69.99. I have worked in organizations (NIH) that have a full-time IT staff-person to fix computer problems for employees like me who struggle with their computers. Staples provides decent service at a reasonable cost. The personnel are young people trying to do the best they can. It helps to be polite with them and work with them. In my opinion, they are reasonably competent and a bargain for those of us who dont have a dedicated IT person that would be much more expensive. In terms of "service for the money," I would give Staples on Franklin Street 5-stars.

Can you say rude? My review is mainly on there delivery services. About a week ago, I ordered 5 boxes of HP paper to be delivered. The next day the delivery truck arrived at my home as soon as I was about to leave. He parked right in front of the drive way (which is fine). He got out of his truck and put all 5 boxes on his dolly.Since there were two cars in the drive way, he could not get through. I asked if he could go through the grass. He said " You want to try to carry these boxes through the grass"? Then I asked "Why do you not take a box or two off". To which he responded " I do not have time for that". I asked" What if no one was here to move a car, what would you have done"? He said he would not have completed the delivery. I told him he did not have to be rude about the whole situation. I moved the car and he dumped everything in the garage. I told him I was going to make a call or write a review about his services, to which he replied alright go for it. Our delivery man is named "Anthony". I will no longer be buying from Staples. We own a local tax office and buy a lot of tonor, hp and canon ink, hp paper and folders. I will give all my business to Office Depot from now on.

While Staples people are great, and I really like everybody there, especially in the copy and print center, their prices and inventory are lacking. The quality of work and printing in the copy and print center is excellent, but if you are completely out of an item, which they sometimes are, then you get a ZERO for quality, because you dont have anything. This has happened to me twice at Staples. They were out of 4x6 blank note cards, so I found a MUCH MUCH better price online. Also, for things like labels, they are off the charts expensive. Youll pay double for blank shipping labels than you would have if you went online and ordered them straight to your door from somewhere else like world label. They also sell these new Toshiba PCs, which are horrible products. I wouldnt even carry them, if I were Staples, it makes them look bad.
