BURNOUT Does NOT even deserve a 1 star but that is the lowest it will let me put so Lucky for them. First off I have NEVER written a bad review on any company and it sucks that I am having to do this about a company run by LOCALS. This may seem long but it is all the truth and important that people read and know about the kind of business they are dealing with, especially when youre purchasing something that you are going to depend on being right/good. Burnout is NOT the place to purchase vehicles from if you dont have money to throw away... I am a single mother, teacher for Buncombe Co schools and have lived in this community all my life, trusting, helping and buying from local companies as much as possible. Isnt that what community and neighbors do for each other? Well obviously NOT Jeremy. I was unemployed for the summer and my "owned" vehicle was starting to be not so safe to drive due to suspension issues so a very dear Friend offered to purchase a car for me (and my children). We found a Chevy Cavalier Convertible on Burnouts lot on Leicester Hwy, in a price range my friend was able to purchase. Ok heres the issue and Jeremys responses and DISHONEST Business transdactionss.. 1) When test driving the vehicle the A/C did not blow cold. When I spoke to Jeremy about this he said it needed more freon. OK I could deal with that..the car seems to run good and transportation is what i needed, So we went back to purchase the vehicle Jeremy had put some freon in it and it felt cold (at that time).purchase made! Well that lasted 1 day and no A/C again. I was told by Jeremy when I questioned him the next day that it needed another can, one was not enough. So here we go wasted money on freon and the A/C lasted a day and Surprise No a/c again. Obviously it leaks or the compressor is not working correctly and that is at the least a 100... fix. 2) The car had half a tank of gas when I drove it off the lot, Well when it got down to 1/4 tank it jumps up to over full and teeter totters from 1/4 to full constantly. So my guess(?) is the sending unit is bad. EXPENSIVE FIX.... REMEMBER This is ONLY 3 weeks into having the car: 3) Going from Asheville to Sylva over Balsam mountain Im running about 65 and all the sudden the RPMs drop and will not go over 2500 no matter how much I accelerate. This was dangerous, cars and Tractor Trailers flying up on me and I cant get out of the way. Thankfully I was eventually able to get over and into the emergency land safely. So here I am broke down in a vehicle I just purchased 3 weeks ago From Jeremy at Burnout. Well once I got the car towed home (95.00 later) I borrowed a compression tester and found out the 3rd cylinder has NO compression. Bad rings(?). Jeremy knew he could bandaid the compression with Engine Restore or such to make it run temporarily Im sure. Crooked/Dishonest Car Salesman do it ALL the time!! SOOOO I called to speak with Jeremy and was told he was at lunch but he would call me back that afternoon. I told his wife what was going on and that it is very important that he does...Well guess what, here we are a few weeks later and I still have not heard from Jeremy and my calls are not being answered ( caller ID is great way to ignore upset customers, huh). As of tonight, Here I sit without a vehicle to drive, trying to raise my children, go to work taking care of/teaching community children and Jeremy sits all pretty with my friends money and others that he has ripped off and does not have a conscience about it. Do NOT buy from this DISHONEST, LYING, BANDAID Using Car lot. Whether you take my advise or NOT I feel it was important to give. Hopefully it will save some others from going thru what I have and PLEASE Read reviews on companies before trusting them,I wish I had read Burnouts.. Best of Luck... .

Thumbs down from me. My girlfriend was super interested in a car from this place. First walk-in, wasnt greeted. The owner sent his son (probably 14 years old) to show us the car and went running to daddy when we asked for the bottom line price. First off, he would not finance whatsoever. He claimed he has the best price on this car and wont take a penny less. He degraded us when we mentioned taking it to our family mechanic to take a look at it and claimed that there was not a thing wrong with it. When I sat in the car for test driving, I realized why he had the best price on this car. First notice, it smelled like mold or wet dog on the inside. The tires maybe have enough traction on them to take back a little control as you hydro-plane down the high way. The rotors shake the entire wheel when braking. It barely made it back up the hill on Patton without shooting the RPMs high and made an awful noise. The employee that rode with us claimed that it was construction, but my ears could tell it was a cylinder going dead. The whole staff were total jerks and treated us like we knew absolutely nothing. Wrong. We wont be back.

I had to put in 1 star to get this published but really.... NO STARS HERE.... Do yourself a favor and dont even bother going to this place of (crooked) business. They will gladly sell you a sub-par scooter and then when you have problems with it (immediately) they will tell you that its your fault or that you put bad gas in it, or anything other than the fact that they sold you a piece of **** scooter. They dont stand behind their products and they are demeaning, rude and downright shady. I plan to pursue this with the Better Business Bureau in hopes that other people will not be taken advantage of by this company. Stay away from this place!

I have been going to Burnouts for years. I had bought a Chinese made 150cc scooter 5 years ago and took it to them for service. When it kept having problems, they rebuilt the engine and helped me sell it. I then purchased a used Vespa GT200 and even though they do not typically work on Vespas and dont sell them, they have provided great service on it. They do whatever they need to, to get the needed parts and get the problems solved. Their prices are very reasonable too.

Been there three times and they treated me very fairly. No problem with the work or the price. I am not sure what is going on with the bad reviews here but my experience from a first time scooter owner who bought a used 150 off of Craigs list and I drive it hard, these guys not only know their stuff but get the job done right.
