One star, only because I cant give them zero and write a review. I bought a new scooter there. One of the reasons I bought from them was the 1 year warranty. It was useless. The scooter would stop running if it rained, if it even misted. They were never able to solve the problem. I took the scooter in for the 300 mile break-in checkup required to keep the warranty. I started to head towards Patton Ave. There is a steep incline in the parking lot/display area from Patton up to the shop. As I approached Patton, I applied the brakes. The front brake was completely gone. I was barely able to stop before being hit by traffic on Patton. I pushed the scooter back to the shop, told them what just happened, and that the brakes were working just fine when I brought it in (and shouldnt the brakes have been checked as part of the 300 mile break-in checkup?). They found a slice or cut in the hydraulic line. The owner asked if I was sure the brakes were working when I brought it in. I looked at the puddle of hydraulic fluid he was standing in, and told him I was sure. He then told me he didnt have the hose in stock, and that it being Saturday, he would not be able to get it until Monday. Anyone with any interest in customer service or building good will with customers would have apologized for slicing the hose during the checkup, and apologized for not having the hose in stock, and then told me that instead of having me riding in 10 minutes, it might take 15 minutes because he would need to pull a hose from one of the new scooters. But no, better to head to the lake at noon and deprive me of transportation for the weekend. I relate this experience to everyone I meet who has a scooter or is getting a scooter. Many have said they knew of their bad rep. I now do a much better job of research before making a purchase.

AVOID THIS BUSINESS. Classic example of a mechanic taking advantage of the customer. I rarely write reviews but this place requires it. Unfortunately, I dropped my Vespa LX50 last fall while traveling under 15mph. Examining the bike there was minor cosmetic damage and the steering was misaligned by ~10°. I rode it to Burnouts (completely functional, just with misaligned steering), asked them to look over the bike. The response from two mechanics was "Oh wow... Vespa. You better hope you didnt bend the steering tube." Within 5 seconds (and without even touching the bike) they determined the part was bent and said that I was "in trouble" claiming that "Id be lucky" if they could source the part "as it would probably have to be ordered from Italy" and that my bike is "TOTALED." I said ok, well lets just see much it will cost to order it from Italy. The mechanic spent the next 10 minutes flipping through a parts catalog saying "not seeing it..." then showing me the book and saying "can you find it??" He quoted me $700-$1000 to repair the alignment. I declined. I consulted the Modern Vespa forum asking if I was being taken and the response was overwhelmingly YES. I was referred to Westside Scooters and they took care of me. He took it for a ride, looked over the bike and said that its a simple alignment issue. Fixed it immediately charging only $40. Problem solved. Bottom line - Burnouts tried to take advantage of me, lied to me (vespa parts are quite easy to source, unless vintage), and disrespected me. Unfortunately, if you live in WNC (because Westside Scooters told me hes winding down business) you have little to no other options. Best of luck in finding an honest scooter mechanic.

Owner was super rude when I asked if they would guarantee their work. Did not seal the bead when they installed my front tire, my scooter wobbled and shook and when i took it back they charged me to re install it correctly raised prices every time I came back, over filled my gear oil it spread into the CVT transmission box constantly installed parts incorrectly, including my CVT belt. If you use a debit or credit card and you do not pay cash they will charge an extra fee.

I have brought my scooter to Burnouts about 5 times, and every time I am satisfied with the quality of work and service they provide. They are polite, friendly, and affordable. The only downside is that the mechanic is always super busy, but by calling ahead he has always been able to do the work for me on the spot: though depending on how busy he is, this is not always possible.

The absolute worst place to have your scooter worked on. Ran worse than when I took it and broken covers.Go to DAL Kawasaki before you even think about this place. Theyll take your money and there is no guarantee of their work. Crappy place, shade tree mechanics. The Dad if hes there is the best.Dont let NO ONE touch it but the Dad.

Not only have they been the most generous group of people, but they fixed my scooter (and then some). I have never felt the need to review anything online, but this. Ill keep coming back.

Even though they clearly post their business hours on site, online, and on their answering machine, you just have to get lucky to find anyone actually there.

I ordered mirrors from them and they got me the wrong ones. The parts that they sold me were wrong for the scooter also. I will not go through them again.
