On March 18, 2012, I bought a pair of Sedici Lorenzo Riding Boots from Cycle Gear in Tampa. I liked them so well, that I returned and bought another pair for my son on April 11, 2012. One of the reasons I chose the Sedici’s is because they offered a “Lifetime Guarantee.” When I purchased the boots, I specifically asked the salesman to clarify the “guarantee.” I asked him, “So you’re telling me that if I wear them out, I can return them and you’ll give me a new pair?” He replied, “Yes.” Within 9 months, the soles on both of my boots completely failed. They did not “wear out,” they broke apart. I haven’t worn them since. On April 19, 2014, my wife and I were in Cycle Gear on other business. While there, we spoke to a salesman by the name of “Tracey” or "Stacey." I told him about my boots, and he said as long as I had a receipt, returning the boots for a new pair shouldn’t be a problem. I said that I should still have the receipts at home, but asked if he could look up the purchase in their system. He looked, but could not find either purchase. On April 21, 2014, I returned to Cycle Gear with the defective boots, receipts for both Sedici purchases, as well as original bank statements showing I had purchased both pairs from Cycle Gear. The information on the bank statements matched the original receipts I received from Cycle Gear. I presented the boots (just mine, not my son’s) to “Chad,” the salesman. . I also printed out, and presented a Cycle Gear ad from the internet for the same boots that said, “Lifetime Guarantee.” After speaking with Chad for several minutes, and listening to several versions of why the “Lifetime Guarantee” did not apply, he refused to honor the guarantee. Some of his reasons for not honoring the guarantee were that “it was a manufacturer’s warranty,” not theirs, that I had “worn the boots out,” and that’s why they’re not covered,” and that “we don’t even carry them anymore.” It should be noted that while at the store on the 19th, there was a pair of Sedici Lorenzo boots in a box, in the boot display area. Chad did say that he would offer a “percentage discount” if I chose to purchase another pair of boots from a different manufacturer, but did not say what that “percentage” would be. Being quite frustrated at that point, I chose to leave the store. I do not recall seeing any information from the manufacturer included with my original purchases that further clarified any position Cycle Gear, or the Sedici company, may have had concerning the “Lifetime Guarantee” – that’s all it said. Apparently, to Cycle Gear, “Lifetime Guarantee” does not mean lifetime guarantee.

Visit to the store on 3/17/15. Three musketeers working here now. Regular keystone cops. Absolutely no product knowledge, they seemed annoyed to have someone in the store. Would not even respond to a simple "is there more stock in the back" question. Previous merchandise purchased (boots) turned out to be cheaply made and gave unacceptable service life. This was not a new experience with this store, although the current staff has taken their staff quality from mediocre down to truly awful. Attempt to communicate experience to corporate office in Benicia, California was blocked by secretary who did not want the information about my experience provided to them. Thus ends my patronizing this business. I will not step inside again. The bright side? I went online and found the item I wanted, for significantly less than what CG was selling it for, even on sale.

Awesome place! They carry A LOT in stock, unlike other places whee you have to order it out of a magazine and then wait for several weeks to receieve it. Plus, their very patient.. I had a hard time getting a helmet that would shape to my head safely because i could not even fit in Smalls! And they helped me find the perfect one (this process took an hour). They have okay prices, but for the most part- they give you free stuff with your purchase sometimes and always have great things on the sale rack! I am always looking on their website for new stuff and I get excited every time I know Im going there to buy something new for me or my street bike.

I came looking for gloves, I left having found my favorite shop. I bought a tank pad that had a manufacturer defect, and they replaced it without question and even gave me some helpful information for installing the replacement tank pad. They also pointed me toward a set of AlpineStar gloves that ended up saving my hands when someone cut me off last month. I have friends who all say that every experience theyve had has been one of excellent customer service and VERY reasonable prices. Now I know why they prefer to shop at Cycle Gear, and I cant wait to go back and purchase new gear with which to get back on the road!

Inventory is lacking, and this is essentially just a showy, overpriced place for crotchrocket riders to play dress-up before slapping each others butts and crashing. Remember how obnoxiously pink-colored and annoying that cheap old tween jewelry store Claires looked when you walked by? Well, that is how this neon-clad, flashy, power-ranger costume store appears to a real motorcyclist walking in for the first (and only) time. You mutter, "What the f*@k????," and just walk on by.

Takes them forever to get a helmet in. 1st experience, they forgot to tag my helmet that I special order with them and took about a month for me to get my helmet. Second experience, I order a helmet that they normally have in stock, a house brand "bilt" helmet, and it took them over a week just to get it in. And I had to keep calling them for these helmets and they couldnt even provide tracking number or no eta when the helmets come in.

3rd time in this store. First two experiences was a joke (months ago). Snobby workers that seemed annoyed by me asking for help but today was a complete turn around. I was greated with a smile (they were busy with many customers in the store) and very helpful! I wish I caught the name of the gentleman and lady that helped me. Glad to see a turn around in this store. Ill be back for sure

Great customer service. Very knowledgeable of their products. I use them for parts gor my sons dirt bike and they are always eager to help and always have the parts I need in stock. Only negative is that they are in Tampa and Im in Riverview butwell worth the drive considering the places closer to me are way to expensive and not very friendly.

I go this Cycle gear about twice a year and their customer service it great. However, this is one of the smaller stores so they do not have everything like their normal size stores do, but you can call to see if they have it before you go. They do have many helmets and jackets, and gloves to choose from though.

Music on bike night was crazy loud and didnt fit in with any type of rider (Back Street Boys?) I could barely even hear inside the store. Selection is minimal compared to the Orlando store, though the staff was friendly, helpful, and professional.
