I recently moved to the area and didnt have a washer or dryer. I went to home depot looking for low consumption appliances. The sales person recommended me a Samsung washer and dryer. I wanted to take the appliances home the same day because I needed to do my laundry. The earliest delivery they had was for a week from that date. I couldnt be home when they made the delivery. But when I got home I realized that whenever we plugged the dryer in the whole power was shutting down. I called Samsung the very same day they did the delivery and they refused to give me a refund. Then I called home depot and spoke with a manager and he told me they dont do refunds on appliances. I spent 1,500 dollars, didnt even touch the product and they refused to give me a refund! Rediculous! They offered to send somebody to look at the dryer and see what was wrong, but the problem is that a brand new product is not supposed to be defective. How about replacing it? Their customer service was awful. I bought the warranty for 5 years, but I just wasted my money because if something else happens I will not deal with home deal with again. If you are buying any appliance at home depot, they would not refund your money even if you go back the next day. They dont tell you that when you are buying the product though.

UPDATE (Sep 2016): Its been over a year since I originally posted this, and they now have some standard grass seed in stock. If consumers would simply read disclosures, dismiss marketing hype, and evaluate purchases more carefully, they wouldnt be preyed upon all the time. ORIGINAL POST: I went to Home Depot for grass seed, and all they had was coated seed. The coated seed only contains 50% seed by weight, the rest is some cheap additive that purportedly saves water. Its probably just clay or some such nonsense. I would imagine that 100% seed has lower profit margins, so they are stocking products that maximize their profits and rip off consumers. They participate in fantastic price gouging schemes such as these and care nothing for the consumers who put trust in them. This coated seed trend is now an epidemic. Read the labels on the back, then go to you local landscape supply for seed. Stay away from the name brands from now on, because every bag of seed I have seen from these companies are coated this season. Scotts Pennington Rebel I could not find the Lesco seed that I usually buy. I hope they havent been forced out of business.

This is review for both Home Depot Online and Home Depot Apex Location. Online - Ordering is very easy. They have a nice App. I ordered a refrigerator and washer/dryer combination during the last thanksgiving weekend at a great deal. The order was back dated to end of Jan ( and in my case it worked out well but may not be the case for a customer who needs it quickly). They had some confusion with the delivery date but i was able to call couple of agents and have some money compensated for the same ( which is a good way to respond to customer queries and bring more accountability to their promises) Apex Store: I have always found store employees who are very helpful and going beyond their way to help me find the right product. But with regard to store arrangement it gets very difficult to locate the right things just due to its size and variety of products but the online app is a good guide to find the products n the right aisle/bin etc....One thing you need in a store is Patience!

Home Depot has awful appliance delivery service. They made our life so tough after purchasing the appliances from them. We bought new construction townhomes which does not include refrigerator. We bought refrigerator from Home Depot and scheduled them to be delivered after 7days of purchases. On the day of delivery, no one called till 3pm. Then we called the Home Depot to enquire why no call from the delivery service. We were told that delivery folks came around 2pm and were looking for glass window. Staff from Home Depot asking mom “do you have glass window in your door? That doesn’t make any sense. We have given our contact number and the address. We did not receive a single call from them. We had to call Home Depot delivery service 2 times and waited for so long, then finally asked us to reschedule the delivery. We were so frustrated by their response. First of all, that was lie. No one called us. But kept saying they called x2. Vert frustrating. They will lose the good customer.

They have free delivery service, but cannot guarantee that they are going to deliver it on time, or they deliver it at all. I ordered washer and drier on July 27th and supposed to get it by Saturday July 30th. I still didnt receive it. It is either the delivery person getting injured, the washer broke, or my laundry room door is on their way. When I call the store, they pretty much explain the situation from the delivery people side of the story. So now, should I just cancel the order or just reschedule it again and get in to this same stress? Not sure. We are four people living in our house, with my drier broke, guest coming to stay over the weekend. I invited them hoping that the delivery will be make at least today (August 5). Feeling pretty stupid for trusting on Home Depot, Aplex, NC. I do hope I can fix this issue soon so that I never have to order any thing from there.

Bought a house 3 years back and started going to store for various projects like converting unfinished garage to play room, installing water filter under the sink, small fix and fun projects. This is my to go place because of the service, smiles all around the store especially person like Gary from pluming department. I had no knowledge before starting the project and this Home depot has not only helped me to finish my projects but educate me (they shown a lot of patience) and fill confidence in me to believe that I can do those small to mid size project. no full star since sometime its difficult to find stuff, I believe since pieces are put at somewhat odd place. But overall small-mid-large size project this should be THE PLACE.

I spend a lot of time here- I live next to Lowes but I prefer this Home Depot since they carry the items I am looking for and the employees are amazing. They cut project materials patiently for me, help me find the best lumber and give me helpful tips. I return things fairly frequently as my projects evolve and they always take things back with a smile. Ive had to take a few faulty LED light bulbs back and I really appreciate that they let me exchange it right there for the warranty instead of making me ship it back to the manufacturer. Weekends are busy, if you know you will need help, weekdays and Sunday mornings are great times to go.

These guys have lost my business. I even wrote to the store manager, but no response. I ordered carpet, had a 10% coupon for Lowes from move in. So these guys said they would honor it. Come check out, they said they can only do $50, at this point, I said okay... Then they came back and said, your coupon is a counterfeit, we cant honor it. I ordered the carpet anyways since weve been going through the process for 2 weeks. But yeah, Chris, I went to Lowes, and used the same damn coupon that you claimed to be a counterfeit, and guess what, it worked! Keep going your way, but you already lost atleast 3 customers from your store.
