Employee "Sonia" was absolutely terrible. I was sitting in the lumber department with a cart full of lumber waiting near the registers waiting on my fellow employee to go pick up other stuff in the store. While waiting I noticed the line was not moving for a good 15 minutes and thought that was strong. Noticed there was a guy purchasing some lumber and the employee seemed to just not comprehend English and basic human functions. Another 7 minutes or so went by and I glanced up again to see the progress, noticed the guy second in line was red in the face and looking around frantically, after he didnt see any other employee he cussed and literally threw his items on the floor and walked out ( lost customer #1) . A few minutes later the guy in the back of the line left his whole cart of lumber and walked out ( Customer lost #2). Within 30 seconds a lumber employee came by and asked me if that was my cart ( the one im standing beside but I did have about 4 around me) I told him yes and he said people have been getting in line and leaving and leaving the carts full of lumber just sitting and they had to put them back. ( Customer lost # many). Finally after 30 minutes or so my fellow employee came back with a cart full of other items he got during this time and we went to check out. The original guy was still there and she had to have ( what I believe to be a manager or supervisor) come and do something and they got him out. Finally it was our turn. It took us about 10 minutes for just a few pieces of trim wood and base wood. She was very had to understand and very hard headed. We finally got through and went out to load up. There were trucks just parked blocking the loading zone so I had to back the truck up through other trucks just to load up. After I got through I went inside and told a fellow in the lumber section that there was a dark green GMC truck with 2 guys just sitting inside and blocking everyone from loading. ( He went out and told them to move). All in all "Sonia" is costing this store a lot of money being they lost 2 customers from what I saw and there were about 5 carts full of wood and dry wall just sitting that they had to pay other employees to put back ( from what I can think is) because of the very slow employee "Sonia". Normally this home depot is "okay" but this time was absolutely terrible and we had to explain to our boss why it took us a hr and half to just pick up wood. He told us to not go to that home depot anymore ( now home depot lost thousands and thousands right there) because we go by there almost once a day buying supplies but no more. Home depots in general seem to always have a management issue but this one in particular is terrible and I DO NOT recommend them to anyone.

There are no words for how absurdly incompetent the employee who "helped" me is. When I asked for pure tung oil (the kind with no chemicals, because I have breathing issues), he pointed me towards tung oil finish, which has strong fumes. When I repeated that I wanted pure oil, he suggested furniture wax, which could not be more different. Tung oil is has no pigment and soaks into wood furniture wax usually has pigment and sits on top of the wood. Furniture wax is not really an appropriate way to finish bare wood. Then comes my experience trying to buy paint. I needed low VOC, high gloss paint with a rich color. He told me I didnt need high gloss, and tried to convince me that I didnt want a rich color ("May I try to convince you to buy white?" he said). After an exhausting discussion I ended up purchasing Behr tinted to a Sherman Williams shade because I was tired and in a rush. The paint was watery, and even though I watched it for hours for drips, I woke up the next morning to find that the paint had developed thick drip marks all over. The color is nowhere near the beautiful green I had picked - it is an absurd lime green. The fellow also automatically tinted a Kilz primer. I didnt want Kilz primer, and I didnt want it tinted, because I needed it for several projects. But I felt like I had to buy it since he tinted it for me. The primer doesnt stick to properly sanded and prepared wood, and doesnt even begin to cover the original. Now I have wasted my prep time, and hours of painting time. I have to somehow find a paint stripper that triggers my asthma the least (a physical and financial cost that I shouldnt have to pay), and am out 50$ plus the cab fares Ill need to pick up new supplies. Shockingly, their phone number doesnt work, so I cant even discuss this with the manager there.

This review is based on my experience with two employees at this location, the MOD (manager on duty) and a male employee operating one of the registers in the garden center. After picking up some garden supplies my wife and I headed to the register, things went south in a hurry. As we approached, we were met with what could/would be considered as an intimidating stare by most folks; not so much as a hello, even after greeting him with a very courteous "Hi, how are you?". While the teller was scanning our items he was having trouble spotting the bar code on an item, so I pointed it out only to have him respond with "Yeah, I see it!"; yes, he said it emphatically. My wife was so disgusted by his attitude that she walked out. As she was leaving she said "Have a nice day sir", very politely. His response further angered me, "Aight" he said. As for the MOD, we called upon returning home and spoke to the current MOD; his repsonse to my complaint was "Sorry you had to go through that sir, is there anything else I can do for you today?". Really? For starters how about asking for more specifics about the incident and assuring me, as a very loyal customer that has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in your store, that ill never have to experience this horrid attitude from this employee ever again! Maybe a quick "Do you realize there are thousands of people that would love to have your job? Do it again and one of them will have it!" would do the trick......if not, good for the next person in line.

Do NOT go to this store if you have any questions about home improvements or if you just need help finding something in general. This place has the WORST customer service and associates Ive ever experienced. Theyre supposed to be EXPERTS on home improvement yet when I came to find a replacement for my front door moulding (which my dog chewed up and which is not actually my door but my landlords door) no one seemed to be around to help as I wandered aimlessly around the store looking for the correct type of moulding. Even better, when I finally located an associate and asked for help figuring out which type of moulding would match mine (I brought in the old moulding in hopes that this would help) he stated he didnt know but would go find someone who could better serve me. So I waited.... and waited... and waited... 15 minutes go by and no one has come to help. So I go find someone else and ask the same question explaining that the other person left and never came back to help. He also stated that he didnt know how to help and was going to find someone else to help. 10 more minutes go by and still no one in sight. Needless to say I will NOT be coming back to this store if I have any question about home improvement or if I need any help at all.
