My boyfriend and I price locked a couch from Value City in March. We werent moving until May so they had us price lock it and told us that when we wanted the couch to call 5 days ahead of time to ensure ample enough time for the couch to be delivered to the store. We planned on picking up the couch on Saturday and I called 6 days ahead of time and was told that the couch would be available by Friday to pick up. Thursday at 2pm my boyfriend received a phone call from Value City that our couch would not be available until Monday. We arranged our schedules around this couch because we were told it would be available Saturday, we arranged a truck to pick this up. When asked why they said it was a manufacture problem. We were told that we could pick this up Monday however we do not have availability to use the truck because of conflicting work schedules. We originally planned that we would pick up the couch because it costs over $100 to have the furniture delivered, when I asked how they were going to fix this because this is their error they said that they would deliver it to us but they wouldnt do it until THURSDAY of the following week. I asked how we were expected to live in our house with no furniture for 6 days and they were not very understanding. After talking to the corporate offices and trying to get this straightened out, I had no choice but to either hire a Uhaul truck and find a way to arrange this pick up or wait until Thursday to get it delivered. Although they did offer to deliver it for free we still werent guaranteed a time for when our couch would be there. I work evenings and cannot sit and wait for this couch to be delivered so I called them and told them that we would accept them to deliver it if they could guarantee that we would be the first stop being that we cannot be waiting until 5pm to get this couch. They said that they could not guarantee that. After I talked to them I asked them to pay for my U-Haul to pick this up since I have already rearranged my work schedule for this couch and they were inconveniencing me now. They agreed. I have never seen a company that has been so unwilling to accommodate to customer service when they were in the wrong. I understand things happen however for them to not even offer to try and deliver it sooner than 6 days blows my mind. I had to basically give an ultimatum in order for them to offer to pay for our U-Haul expenses to get this furniture into our house. I paid $800 for this furniture that now I have to wait even longer for. They have awful customer service and after this is dealt with I will definitely not be returning my business and discouraging others from doing the same.

A little lengthy but please read! BEWARE OF THIS LOCATION!!! Let me start off by being positive. The gentleman that helped us with our furniture (Joe I believe his name was, im horrible with names). He helped us find what was best to fit our household and budget. The furniture itself is nice, a little too much for what we received but overall im pleased with it. Now, the negative. Let me first start by saying my husband works almost all day! (5am-10pm) so for him trying to schedule a time to wait for a delivery guy was almost impossible so we decided to rent a U-haul and pick it up. All of our furniture had to be assembled so there were at least 7-8 boxes given to him. They completely forgot to give him our coffee table that we ordered. I called the next day to rectify the issue. We are all human, people make mistakes so I wasnt that upset until I called and was told that I was lying and that their computer showed that I picked up all my furniture!!! I was livid! Only to have the "manager" (I use that word loosely) call me back and without even saying hello, immediately told me that they found the table and that they were open until 8 pm that night so I could come pick up my furniture anytime!!! No apology. No offer to deliver the furniture, no intention to correct the wrong made on their end. Just a "You can can come pick up the furniture we forgot to give you." I had a small gathering at my house the same night so I had no choice but to rent yet ANOTHER U-haul. I get to the office and kindly (even though I was upset) said to the manager, I am here to pick up my coffee table. Another worker over heard me and then said "Oh, is this the one whos husband forgot to pick up the coffee table???" Are you serious!!!??? How unprofessional and discourteous! If my husband forgot to pick up our coffee table then why werent we notified!? We werent notified because YOUR employees forgot to give us our coffee table! After all was said and done we ended up spending so much on U-hauls and gas that we should have just had the furniture delivered. HORRIBLE customer service. That will be my first and last time purchasing furniture from this facility. UPDATE: Ron, the GM called the same day I wrote this review and fixed this issue. He was very understanding, kind and respectful. Wish we would have dealt with him first.

Im still a bit in awe of the service Ive received from the Henrietta Store and, specifically, the Store Manager, Ron. He not only made himself accessible, but went well beyond what I had experienced elsewhere in the past. First, their Customer Service is a 10! Solid. Ive purchased, in the last 18 months, a beautiful sofa (❤❤❤ it), 2 Hybrid Beauty Rest Black mattresses and box spring sets. The first mattress was too soft for me...replaced, and a beautiful Armoire! I recently moved, and the movers broke one of the wood rails on my bed. Long story short, Ron ended up here in my home, drill in hand, and voila...bed is fixed. The store I purchased the bed from nearly 20 years ago, was not helpful at all, even though I purchased several solid natural cherry Thomasville items that day. $$$$. I would be remiss if I didnt mention the Customer Service people, who treated me like family. On the ball, interested and thorough. And, the Delivery team. I dont remember the names of the others who brought me my pieces, but a big shout out to Mike and Mark for helping to very quickly temporarily resolve the broken bed issue. They put it on the the floor

We needed furniture for our new home so I went to Value city. Bianca was the highlight of our visit from the moment we got in we felt welcomed, she was friendly and knowledgeable and even came on her day off to finalize our sale. The first day I went there I met Rob the manager on duty and he made sure to come out and thank us for the business. The second day when we were back to purchase and pay I had a request and asked Bianca if I can talk to Rob and he was not there, the manager on duty was KELLEY, When Kelley came out I almost left the store, she was rude to us me and Bianca she hit her desk when Bianca asked her if she can come out to talk to me before I even ask my question she said started shouting that she can not give any discounts than what is already on my deal which I was aware of when she finished talking she went back before even giving me any chance to speak. I decided to leave the store but I felt bad for Bianca. Next time when I or any of my friends or co workers, if we ever at Value city we will make sure to ask if Kelley is the manager on duty or not before we start shopping at this location.
